The evil weighed heavy in the air as the tortured soul passed. Grass browned and died with every placement of her paws. Mother earth was crying out in pain that this abomination lived. She loved to hear her scream. It feed the darkness... The darkness that choked the life out of those with souls.

Her bindings and hair blew gently in the wind,Mother nature's futile attempt to chase the evil away. Pathetic. On that wind, along with the pain of nature, rang out something she had not felt since him.

It wasn't him though. His power was thick, pure black and far reaching. She could feel him now. But this power was smaller, but just as black. As if this darkness hadn't yet set root into the world, but was going to, as soon as it was given the chance to settle.

The guardian to the very gates of hell smirked, lifting her maw to the wind as she breathed in the power. "Mmm..." Laughing low, she sat waiting on this blackness to arrive.

Something wicked this way comes. And Kirie couldn't wait to meet him.

The King of Nightmares frowned faintly to himself as he paced the lands, not caring where his paws took him. He had knowledge of his brother's locations -the pair of them, not far from each other, and no doubt moving closer as they realized he was free- and of their weaknesses -they had claimed females, Talcorin even starting a family- yet he did not seek them out.
It was too easy, after all... For though his brother's kits had grown, their children were young and delicate... But there was hope some of his influence, or even Incorrin's, would be strong enough in the children to make them less like their perfect, peace-loving sire.
Not that Incorrin was much better, with his compassion for the Broken Ones. Whether it was his nature or not, such things should have just been destroyed... They were worth nothing, less than nothing.
But those were thoughts for another time... And if that was the case, what then should he think about for now?
Xithis? Ahh, but the lady was worth far too many thoughts... And that in and of itself was dangerous. Ancorath smiled at the thought of the Lady of Games, shaking his head faintly. Three or so encounters with the same lioness, in so short a time as had spent on this earth? Extraordinary. But then, she had given him the direct knowledge of his kin's location, and her mind was an interesting one.
And her little helper... Salania? Hmm, the ghost was a puzzle indeed.
Speaking of ghosts, Ancorath had also sensed what could only be the lost Angels he recalled moving through the Realm of Death forever -or so it seemed- ago... Tierany would have become one of his, that much Rath knew. She would have been a walking nightmare, perhaps the strongest manifestation of those under his power, and in that way -if no other- he would have allowed her to return to earth in exchange for her servitude...
Venati... Venati had less spite in her veins and more sorrow... The White Angel might have gone to Incorrin... For she was still broken, and once she had been an Angel too. Not strong enough to rule over an entire Realm, more a Spirit, really... But it meant those who came from her carried similar gifts.
Which again brought his mind to the children of all these somewhat-familiar creatures.
But that was a thought for another time. What he currently wondered about was the thick darkness he sensed far to the West... A darkness he already knew that many feared. A darkness that walked and breathed, and would be quite interesting to meet.
But that also became a thought for another time, when Ancorath saw her. With a faint smile as he crested the hill, he moved toward the figure of the female. "Greetings, Daughter of Hell."

Kirie laughed low in her through, the darkness around her quivering. "Ah, so it is you..." Soulless black eyes locked on the male behind a curtain of thick black hair. "Ancorath... I was wondering when you would join us on this plain..."

She lifted her head, eyeing the male with the same emptiness she showed all. "When your brothers and those angels joined us, I was almost certian you would be close behind..." She smirked. "I suppose better late than never..."

The King of Nightmares was one of the most dark souls she'd ever encountered on any plain. Her soulless laughter mingled into the winds, choking the life out a nearby tree. "Even Heavens guardians beat you here..." Malice filled her voice. Those twins...She loathed them. They were light to her darkness... But it took two of them to match her... That gave her a certain sick satisfaction.

"You have questions, King." Statement of fact. She could sense it deep within him. "You want to know who this great power is to the west."

The Daughter of Hell didn't ask questions.

Ancorath smiled. Ahh then, so she knew him. What was more, she had expected him? That was an interesting turn of events... Though he'd been in the Celestial Prison, it did not stop his mind from wandering... And often he made visits to the Realm of Nightmares, his Realm... The world was not necessarily a series of levels with hell at the bottom, more like interlocking rings. With Heaven and Hell's encompassing band winding through every ring, for both zones had a foothold in each plain of existence.
Hell and the Realm of Nightmares were practically Sisters... Kirie had stood at the border of his land many a time...
And though Ancorath had never really considered coming down to earth until he was aware his siblings had fallen, Kirie had expected it. Wasn't that interesting? Perhaps the Guardian of Hell did indeed see more than even he had guessed...
"Angels have a longer memory than one would like." He sighed as though he was much put-upon. "I kept waiting for them to forget I was in Prison... It takes some time, wouldn't you know? The one thing you'd want them to forget about, it would take them forever to not remember..."
A roll of black eyes, the glint of the sun above not able to touch their liquid darkness. "But then, I never was one for arriving 'on time'... I prefer to make an entrance."
His teeth flashed faintly. "Ahh, so they are here, hmm? Poor Kirie..."
He tsked. "Have you not managed to kill one of them yet?"
Her statement made him smile faintly. Kirie could sense things from -not everything, but more than others could hope to know- and so she called him on them. The female was not want to beat around the bush with questions and leading statements. If she spoke in riddle, it was because riddle was all she knew.
"I have..." Ancorath tilted his head faintly. "That is to say, some of the inhabitants of this world that know him have already crossed my path.. I know bits and pieces, I sense his strength..."
He smiled. "You know him, don't you, Kirie?"
Kirie lived for the darkness, it was part of her. No surprise that she lingered at the edge of Ancorath's realm, or sought this other dark one... "Not about to confront your lover, am I?"
First thing on his list was not 'Piss off the Daughter of Hell'... That didn't sound like fun, even to Ancorath. Though, if there truly was something between her and this 'Dark One', she might have to just hate him...

Kirie sat, bindings burning into the earth. "I see much more than anyone expects, King. " Her eyes flashed, darkness rising from where she sat. "One of the few powers I was allowed to keep... But even the angels cannot control the darkness..." She flashed a hateful smile. "That is for me to rule over."

The Daughter of Hell didn't move, watching the male with intense eyes. "They fear you...Fear keeps memories strong." The female gave a low laugh. He did seem the type not to arrive on time... But with his power, he had the right.

She gave a barking laugh. "They surround themselves with friends... Your angels." She rolled her shoulders, winds still trying to clean the air. "I am biding my time... They grow weaker. Their lives will end soon enough."

"I do know him. I know all who bear such evil." She smirked. "His name is Aveshar. He rules the bleakest lands on this plain..." She paused, inhaling the pain from the earth. "He was gifted with great evil... From a family of great good." She lifted her black eyes to him. "The Fayth... The Son of Ballad and Whistle. I'm sure you know of them." Black eyes sparkled for a moment, mirth flashing before it was gone. "No, you are not. He has many lovers..." She snorted, disgust present. "All of whom are weaklings. Ones who believe they are evil... The make me sick to be near." Her voice never wavered from the pure factual tone. "Besides...I do not share..." She smirked. "You have more questions."

"A useful gift." He murmured without inflection on the statement. It was merely a wording of truth, not a statement of specific intent.
"No, there is no Angel for the Darkness." He nodded at the truth in this statement. "There is an Angel for Nightmares, for Broken Dreams, for Death... There is a Lord of Life and Death who passes judgment on those who visit the land of 'In Between'... There are Guardians of Heaven and Hell... Walking Sins and Fallen Angels."
He gave a faint smile. "I am beginning to think I was wrong about what I thought of this place before... It must be quite interesting, if so many of these souls remain in this place."
He huffed softly. "Not strong enough... Or perhaps while it keeps memory strong, it makes their prayers weak. For I know they prayed I would never be free, and here I am."
A shrug accompanied the last part of that statement as he tilted his head to the side. "Ahhh, the Angels have learned something, then.. But if their power fades, it is of little consequence..."
He nodded. Their lives meant nothing to him. Whether the twins lived or died had no bearing on his plans. They were merely a sideline entertainment.
"Ahh yes, Aveshar." He tasted the name yet again, considering. "If that is so -and his parents are known to me- then he serves as a vessel for all that they reject... And if that is the case, then he is capable of greater power than even he realizes at the moment."
He hummed thoughtfully to himself. "How interesting... And a harem, hmm? I wonder if our quaint little lordling fancies breeding himself an army..."
He snorted. "No matter, I will meet him soon enough, and decide if it is worth replicating such a pattern in the world."
He laughed. "I am well aware of that, Kirie... But I would not put it past you to score a coup over a pack of jealous little creatures, just to rub it in their faces."
He did have more questions. Since entering this world, that was one of the three things he did. Plot. Question. Analyze. He had plans -several of them, in fact- for this area and the role he would fill in it... Such things could not be done without careful study...
"Do you know any of the sins?" He tilted his head to consider her. "Their presence interests me.. As does the existance of one they call the 'Dark Melody Unchained', she is a relation of this Dark Fayth's... The first of them, in fact, once captive in another Realm.. I know she escaped here, but I do not know much else otherwise... I can feel her movement, and sense her purpose, but beyond that she is a void to me."

Kirie gave a snarl. "I was banished here by those angels. I had no choice in my fate. Thus is why I am bound."

Kirie eyed the King of Nightmares for a long moment. His darkness was already tainting the earth. She could hear the screams...Their feverent prayers to the heavens to save them. She nearly snorted. Nothing could save them. "Their powers fade everyday... But, I sense a great power growing yet. In the children of Tierany and Kelakhor... The taint those kits bare...They can be swayed either way."

"He is unaware of the power he possesses. He only knows but a fraction of it. And with the females he has chosen to bear his army..." She snorted. "He might as well hand over his powers to me now, because none shall be worthy. He had his chance at one of the guardians of heaven...and he let her go." She rolled her eyes. "Because such power fraternizes with such weaklings, I refuse to take what I so rightly could. He is of no intrest to me, other than his powers. "

She paused, giving the King of Nightmares a large smirk. "The sins? Of course I know of them. I haven't met them, but I see them. Infact... One has sired a male who is seeing the pure daughter of Ballad and Whistle." She chuckled. "I belive their names are Shawnie and Darryl. But that is all I know of them." A black eyebrow rasied, smirk widening. "Ah, I know of her. Melody is a pure evil, in a beautiful package. She is mostly around his nephew's lands. She too has a harem... It must run in the family. "

She lifted her maw to the sky, breathing in once again. "I am unsure of her as well King. She is powerful, and I too know her purpose here, but other than what I have said, she is void. I've only come across her once. I was unable to read her in the ways I read others."

Ancorath gave a flick of his tail to indicate he had heard her words, though they were of little consequence now. In the first place, her appearance here could do little but aid his endeavors in this world, so he would not waste time examining who was at fault for her presence here or who was to thank. It did not matter...
He tilted his head faintly at the mention of the names, immediately reviewing all he had been able to learn. Luckily there was more information on the one called 'Kelakohr' than there was to be had on his brother. The same taint, the same madness... Though Kelakohr's was a creeping mist, his brothers a full-blow monsoon... The other male was warping, becoming like his brother, but he was still less than, purer than, the Dark Fayth.
Tierany was of course quite well-known to Ancorath, which automatically had him speculating over the usefulness of either kit. An interesting question, whether or not the darkness -the taint- was inherent. After all, the nature was none of Ballad's or Whistles... But Melody... Melody was the initial wild card.
"Aveshar strikes me as a very careful hunter." Ancorath argued after a moment. "He keeps his power well and close... If the females are not worthy of him, they will not continue his line.. The child of fire, I understand she is more than one would guess; it is no wonder he keeps her... There are some others I have heard of, whispered like their male.... I shall reserve judgment on all counts until I have seen them myself."
The news of the child of the sins was interesting... Interesting indeed. He filed that away as well, smiling faintly. "More to look into.. This world truly is full of surprises..."
The description of Melody had him chuffing softly in amusement. "He had to inherit it from somewhere... It is interesting the nephew is so strong a reflection of his aunt.. Interesting indeed."
As for her motive... "I will find her in time, and when I do, I shall see what her motives are, or if she will share them, rather."

"A careful hunter who thinks with the wrong head." She snorted, resting on her haunches and curing her tail about her, feathers fanning her gently. She took a moment to consider the King of Nightmares, eyes flickering briefly at his words. "Ah yes...I know of her." Of course, she'd never admit that she was wrong about any of those females. That male...She bit back a snarl. His power was seducing her, but she would fight. No male seduced her. She was the one who did the seducing. And she was damn good at it too.

The male that stood before her, now this was power. Aveshar couldn't hope to challenge this male in his current state. Yes he was powerful, but The king of Nightmares was more so...The was a reason why he was imprisoned for so long... The look on those guardians faces when word got out that he was here. Ohoho, she'd love to see them. She returned her attention to the male before her. If she was one to take a mate...He would be perfect. After that weakling she'd fallen for before, mate no. Business deal...Most defiantly.

"Indeed...This world holds much. Much more than I could have imagined... It has been interesting to sit and watch... Perhaps the time is coming for myself to become more involved."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:45 am

"Careful whom you discredit." He warned mildly. "It may yet be your undoing, Kirie... Aveshar is not so young and unwise that he would throw his powers away on unworthy females... He has been in this land for some time, and still stands as solitary ruler of his lands.. Lands that are themselves alive, and conscious, after a fashion."
And Aveshar sought a specific female.. A female who was both Mad and Sane, Ghostly and Living... What an interesting place he'd fallen into... And with his brothers to torment as well. How utterly delightful.
Ahh, so Hell's Guardian had interests? "You too wish to be involved, hmm?"
He glanced at her with a faint smile and an arching of one brow. "Do tell me, Lady Kirie... What are your plans then? Or rather, what made you decide you wish to play this game?"
So many interesting players... Melody... Aveshar.. Kirie.. The one who pulled the puppet's strings.. The puppet herself.. Their respective offspring.. The Sins. Heaven's Guardians... Ancorath himself and his brothers. Interesting indeed.

The female didn't move, cold black eyes locking on the male before her. She wasn't discrediting him, just insulting him. She did so loath that male, that she hoped and prayed, not that she had much standing with the angels, that he would knock one up. Would serve him right.

Kirie gave a cold chuckle, watching as the grass at her feet wilted and died. "Mmmmm, I would so enjoy to reek havoc upon this world... Why waste such power just watching?"

So he wanted to know her plans? "Hmm..." She smirked, shaking her head at the King before her. "Now, If I told you, m'lord, where would the fun be?"
