AIM Log between Velveteen Angel [Dysini'mbus] and Hime [Folami]
Dysi::
Dysini'mbus was curled up in a nearby tree, the vee shape of the branches making it a comfortable perch. His claws were digging into the bark, head resting on his paws as he lazily watched the passing scenery below him. He was in one of the thicker forested areas of the savanna, and the assortment of nearby trees provided an interesting play of birds and other furred creatures. The floor seemed to home many hooved animals, but he wasn't particuarly hungry, so he didn't find the need to leap from his perch and attack. He had seen a few big cats wander passed in the distance too, but he was not eager to find someone to converse with. He wasn't particuarly against company, it was just hard to find interesting people and people who wouldn't make fun of his somewhat feminine coat. Huffing to himself, he peered into the brush down below the tree, to find something else to watch.
Folami::
Folami was currently grooming herself after a nice meal. Her hunting skills has just gotten better and better latley. Now that her stomach was full she was feeling happy and that nothing could go wrong with this day. The feline had a black coat with dark purple details very good for hunting but not very good when it came to the heat from the sun. Folami looked around the area with her purple eyes. Now that she was finished with her grooming maybe she should find something else to do? Folami didn't mind company or talking to other felines but latley nothing much intresting had happend. Well there had to be something intresting out there right? so with a confident smirk on her lips she started to search for something fun to do.
Dysi::
Dysi was growing bored in his tree, and, in a split second decision, dropped from it with a heavy thud. A branch crunched beneath his paw and he stiffled a yawn. Peering back up into the tree, he was a little reluctant to leave his nicely formed perch, but he would find another one. He began to weave through the trees, in search of something to entertain him. He could always hunt, he knew, but he wasn't hungry and it was a wait of life. He was graceful in his movements as he went, having raised to be silent and deadly. Or rather, he had taught himself to be deadly. His mother sure hadn't. She had been pro-life and had practically raised them vegetarian. Dysi smiled slightly, shaking his head in besmusement as he thought of his mother. She was long gone now, but her voice occassionally sounded in his head. She really was his conscious, which is why Dysi decided not to hunt. Instead, he just had to find something else to capture his attention for a while.
Folami::
She found a nice spot in a tree. The tree was not very high but it had good branches so with a jump she gracefully landed in the tree and placed herself on one of the large and strong branches. Up here she would probably spot something fun so she started to look for something both in the tree area and down on the ground and it didn't take her that long to spot something white. She looked closer and saw that it was a leopard...how intresting the tought and her tail started to swing a little back and fourth. She hadn't met another leopard in so long so this day was going to be intresting indeed. She continued to stay up in the tree she tought that he should notice her before she said anything. Folami was very confident in herself and she tought that everyone should treat her like what her name ment. Respect and honour me..
Dysi::
Dysi was careful as he moved, avoiding sticks and things that would make noise as he stepped on them. He wasn't hunting, but that didn't mean he wanted to give away his position too soon. You never knew what was lurking around, and if anyone was aggressive in the area. He may have been wandered into the territory of someone else. In his cautiousness, he was carefully scenting the air so he could detect any foreign creature and soon detected the scent of another leopard. Narrowing his eyes slightly, he scanned the nearby area. He soon spotted the dark female up in a nearby tree, to his surprise. He hadn't realised that anyone else was nearby.
“Greetings, dark one,” he remarked causually, disliking being at a disadvanatage, which he was by being on the ground while she was in a tree. Instead of waiting to see if she would come down, he went up. Latching onto a nearby tree, not the same as hers, he hoisted himself up and onto a branch which reached towards hers.
Folami::
She gave him a smile and nodded her head towards him. Then she watched him slinking up in a nearby tree next to hers. She didn't really care much about that she had seen him sooner then he had seen her but that could annoy some. " Hello~~ " She said with a gentle tone in her voice tough she wasn't really that gentle as her voice but it wasn't anyone that knew that besides herself. " So do you live here? " she asked...maybe his territory was close by. Folami was more of a wanderer. She slept where she wanted to and she hunted where she wanted tough. Well maybe not close to any big lion herd but in any other place besides that. She continued to flick her tail as she watched the other feline.
Dysi::
She looked gentle, Dysi decided, relaxing down onto his branch so he could keep her in his line of sight. It wasn't that he trusted her, just because she had a nice smile and a soft voice, but he had no intention of attacking her, so there was no need to stay so on guard, at least not at the moment. “No,” he responded to her question, eying her with disguised curiousity. “I am merely passing through. It seemed a good place to rest for a while before I continued on.” He wasn't the settling down type, which meant he was usually always on the move, no matter where he was. “Is this your home?” He asked, knowing many leopards tended to claim territories as their own rather than travel like he did.
Folami::
Well Folami was gentle on the outside that is how she wanted others to think she was atleast. " No i don't live here either right now i am traveling around.. " she paused " Heh how rude i haven't even said my name yet. My name is Folami what is yours? " she was a little bit curios at this male as well. He didn't seem to be the type that clinged to one area either that they called their home. Maybe Folami would find a place like that someday but not now. She liked seeing new places and learning new things since she tought that would be to her advantage. That is what her mother had tought her afterall. She streched out her frontpaws a little bit, she was relaxed enough even if she didn't know this male she didn't think he would attack her..
Dysi::
“Ah, we are both travellers, I see,” he remarked causually, “I haven't met many I must admit, not in our species. Most tend to find territories and stay in one place.” What a horrid thought, he mused to himself, staying in one place for ever and ever. He had no desire to settle done and often wondered if he ever would, but the decision to settle down was still a long way in the future.
“Dysini'mbus,” he said, giving his name, “but most call me Dysi. A pleasure to meet you, Folami.” Her name was interesting, he had to admit. It was different, which was good. He disliked common names, because it was like you were simply borrowing someone else's name and it wasn't really your own. Which was one of the only reason Dysi liked his own name. It was unlikely that anyone else would have it, and even then, it was unlikely the other name owner would be male.
Folami::
Folami nodded and flicked her tail a little bit more. So he hadn't met many leopards either there sure wasn't running around many leopards. It was much more comming seeing a lion or another specie. Maybe leopards had become more rare latley? Well Folami didn't really know she knew that she was one and a great one indeed. " Nice to meet you Dysi " she gave him another smile but she was a mysterious female indeed but she made sure never to reveal to much about herself to anyone. " So do you think this place have good hunting grounds? " she tought that herself but she wanted to hear someone else opinion. And getting new information from another leopard was always good. Then she asked him something unexpected but she tought why not " Why don't you come over to my tree and then we can trade some information "
Dysi::
Dysi glanced down from his tree at the surrounding ground as he pondered her question. Dysi was a good hunter, having been hunting alone for a fair while, and was a good fighter, which meant he was a strong killer. This often lead to any hunting grounds being a good one, but in general, it hadn't been bad.
“It is quite abundant I've found,” he told her, remembering the kill he had made earlier with a large hooved creature. “Food is not scarce here, though it takes some skill to navigate around the trees and other plants around.”
Looking midly amused at her suggestion, he didn't second guess her offer and lifted himself up on his branch. Picking a branch one higher than hers, he leapt from his tree to hers. Laying himself back down on the branch, he allowed one of his front paws to dangle down, along with his tail as he lounged above her.
Folami::
Folami nodded " I guess you are right it takes some skill to hunt around here but there are a lot of animals here " Tough Folami usually didn't have any issues with large trees and bushy areas when she hunted it was a good advantage she tought. " So how long do you plan to stay around this area? " Folami didn't have many friends and she was a looner afterall but sometimes a little company was nice. So if they both was in this area for awhile why not spend some time with eachother she tought to herself and that seemed like a good idea for now. She watched the male coming over to her tree and she gave him another smile now that he was a litle bit closer.
Dysi::
“I'm sure you will do fine though,” he said, almost off handedly. “You seem to handle trees well, so it shouldn't much hardship for you.” and it was true. Dysi had met a few leopards who struggle with trees, which was a sad sight to see. How could one call oneself a leopard and struggle so hard with trees? It was unnatural. Trees were perfect places for leopards and only young cubs struggled with them.
He eyed her from his spot on the branch, returning the smile with a slight smirk. “It depends,” he responded lightly, “on whether anythig in this area catches my interest.” He was looking directly at her, letting her know that if he were to stay around, it would be because she had caught his attention and kept it. It was hard to do, seeing as the male was flighty and easily found the wandering urge getting stronger, but she was getting there. She was interesting enough.
Folami::
" Well so far as i know i am pretty good at it " She actually tought she was very good at it but there was always room for improvement. Folami raised one of her eyebrows when he said it depends. " Oh? " Anything of intrest? Well Folami wasn't that easy to get or to fall for just any guy but Folami was not looking for anything serious just some fun. And this guy seemed to be intresting enough well atleast for awhile. " So did you find something intresting yet? " she said with a rather smooth voice and looked directly at him. Tough he seemed to play the same game as she was playing.
Dysi::
“Hmmm,” he hummed, sounding like he was considering her question very thoroughly as he looked back down at her. He wasn't the type to get tied down, or the type to fall in love, so he didn't fear getting too close with the fellow leopardess. He wasn't in it for the long haul and he had a feeling she wans't either. It was just fun and games to him, and if they played by the rules, then no one was going to get hurt by it. “There's definitely some potential,” he told her, with a crooked grin. He lifted himself to his feet and, using her branch as a step, launched himself to the ground. He glanced back at her, “shall I show you the best hunting place? Would hate for you to get lost.” It was a tease, though it may have sounded slightly cruel. He had lost the art of joking after spending so long ago. He wanted to extend their time together a little longer, and the excuse of hunting seemed like a good one.
Folami::
Folami laughed a little bit. She knew she was joking any other male that would tell a girl that without joking was just stupid. Folami had no intention of falling in love either. If you asked her she could probably not even answer what love was. Then she sat up when he invited her for some hunting she just gave him another smirk when he said that he would hate if she got lost. But she accapted his invitation and jumped down herself. Gracefully she landed right next to him..she was a little bit smaller then him but not much. " I accept! so show me where this great hunting place is that you know of " then she decided to follow this playful stranger that she barley know. She didn't know where this would lead to but at the moment she didn't care.
