Ginger says (6:19 PM):
Yakujo had been traveling with her sister and father for quite some time. She remembered her mother and her other two sisters. They had lived together in a den for a month. But now it seemed like forever ago. Yakujo loved her father dearly but didn't quite understand why she couldnt be with her mother and sisters as well. It slightly depressed the cub.

The little group had stopped for a rest, thank goodness, and Yakujo was allowed to go wander and play. Honestly, the little cub was just to tired to play right now. So she sat on a rock and licked her sore little paws.

1/3 says (6:27 PM):
Lor prowled through the grass, an expression of deep consintration on his face. This was a new territory for him, and it had to be scouted throughly if he wanted to find any success hunting here. The sight of a cub sitting on a rock nearby didn't bother him much, but still, he paused to watch her a moment. If there was a family living here that could either mean that hunting was good, or the area was already hunted to it's limit.

Ginger says (6:31 PM):
Lucky, or unlucky for the prowling stranger, the broken lion family was just passing through. Yakujo was perfectly happy on her rock right now and didn't want to get up and walk another inch. Traveling life was hard and tiring and Yakujo just wanted to sit . So she sat and licked her paws.
After a while she laid on her side and just rested with her eyes opened. She had no idea there was a stranger close by. The small cub hadnt thought to check.

1/3 says (6:35 PM):
He frowned. The cub was clearly exhausted. What sort of situation would make a cub this young exhausted? And licking her paws too, it wasn't often that cubs showed such attention to their own feet. Normaly that was the mother's concern.

Curious, he slid out of the tall grass and into plain sight.

"Don't fret, little one. I'm just curious as to what brings you here today."

Ginger says (8:26 PM):
The lioness smiled up at the leopard. "So , we're headed to the same place?" She didn't fully understand what was being said. But it still brightened her smile.

"So mommy and daddy and sisters will all be together?" Her mind was still very much a young one. The complex, yet not so complex, idea went right over her head.
1/3 says (8:29 PM):
He nodded. "It might take a long time. More time then you could belive can pass, but one day you'll be with everyone you love one last time."

He smiled, "I don't know why you left you're mother to follow your father on such a long journy, but I'm sure he only has the best intentions for you. That's how fathers are you know."

Ginger says (8:33 PM):
Yakujo nodded. She knew her daddy was meaning well and that there was a reason they were leaving the rest of the family behind. The lioness cub was to young to fully understand the concept though. Her mother and father were only looking out for her best interest. She was lucky to have been chosen to go with her father, her mother was in the demon pride where life would not have been as fun.

"Whats your name mister?" The lioness peered at the leopard. She'd seen them before, but still, she was fascinated. Her eyes trained on his intense gray pelt and she studied his every marking before her eyes darted back to his face.

1/3 says (8:52 PM):
"You can call me Lor," he smiled, "and I can tell you any story I've heared before."

He offered a wide smile, "Perhaps one day our rivers will cross again and you'll have a fine story for me, hm?"
Ginger says (8:53 PM):
Yakujo gave him a smile, "I sure will! " She shook her head in agreement. "So .. you promise to have a story for me next time?"

Her eyes grew all that more wider.

1/3 says (8:57 PM):
"If you have a story for me, I'll have a story for you," he agreed. "A trade. That seems fair dosn't it."

It was the usual course of trade for him. A story for a story. It was only when he was down on his luck in the worst ways that he ever even considered trading his stories for food or services.

Ginger says (8:59 PM):
The female shook her head in agreement. "Deal, " She gave him a witty smile, "And if we're headed the same place maybe I'll have a story for you sooner then you think." She giggled.
1/3 says (9:02 PM):
"Mmm..." he frowned, "perhaps. You can never be sure I suppose." A moment of silence, and then he laughed. "No use dwelling on it though."

He shook his head then glanced up at the young cub again, "Tell me, would you like a story to bring back to your father?"
Ginger says (9:03 PM):
The cub nodded, "I'd love that more then anything," She whispered. Her eyes were even wider now.
1/3 says (9:08 PM):
He closed his eyes for a while, thinking hard. It was rarely easy thinking of the perfect story for anyone. It was harder when you knew so little about the person it was for.

After a long while he opened his eyes and spoke. His story was an ancient tale about a warrior who had come home from a long war to find his wife caring for a stranger.

She claimed that this small creature was her new master and every day she laboured to fulfil his every wish. She said that not even her husband could defeat him.

The husband became enraged and engaged the stranger in a shouting match. It lasted for hours but in the end he had to admit defeat.

For no one, not even a great warrior, can best an infant.

He smiled and looked down at her, "I do hope it pleases your father."

(9:13:39 PM) Chobi: The cubs eyes had grown ten times the normal size a lioness should have. She was amazed and thrilled with the tale

"How could anyone not love that story?" She said finally after a moment of awe. Her paws were feeling a lot better too after that long tale. Yakujo got to her feet and rubbed her head to the leopards. "Thank you mister." She smiled at him. "I'll be sure to tell daddy the story just like you told it. Best I can remember it," The cub nodded and turned her back on him starting back the way she had come. She'd tell her father that story alright.

Though she was already starting to forget parts of it. Ah well, she'd tell it her way.

(9:21:13 PM) 1/3: He'd tried to keep it short but he knew how quickly things became corrupted in the mind of a child.

"Go tell him while it's still fresh then."

He smiled again. She was a sweet girl.
