Hey everyone! I figured it was about time to give XIV its own *coughsubforumcough* news thread, seeing as we're actually getting updates for it now. smile

This'll be the place for any new updates on XIV-- From Squenix, from magazines, even rumors if they're remotely credible. So everyone, when you have something new, post away!

Hey, any guesses on why I made this thread right now?!

The official site's been updated, and it looks pretty awesome... It seems there's two new things up:

Character Customization: To see the updated part, go to World > Races > Character Creation on the menu at the top. Personally, making my character is one of my favorite things about MMOs, so I'm really happy to see that they're going to have a lot of options... It kind of reminds me of making characters on The Sims 2, actually. *hasn't played 3 >_>* Only you get to be a big hulking blue guy.

Screenshots: Just go to Media > Screenshots to see 'em. They're... well, gorgeous. I'm afraid of what kind of computer you'll have to have to be able to run this thing, but if that's really what it's going to look like, when you do get it working, wowwww. I love the shot with the map. They're showing off. xd

Looks like the official site's been updated again. There's a ton of new information on classes jobs roles disciplines. I mean, enough that I'm not even going to try and summarize everything here. There's a lot to it. Different arrows for large enemies, a "lantern shield," multiple tools for blacksmiths and such...

Go to Gameplay > Armoury System > Disciplines to check them all out.

One thing I notice looking at it all: There's a difference between MP and TP. Huh.

Its not just for PC, it's also on PS3.I'm going to be beta testing it.

A'ight, looks like the official site's got some new stuff again: Specifically, information on clans, which are more like subspecies than just groups. They look pretty awesome. biggrin To check 'em out, go to World > Races > Overview.

Oh my Lalafell's are cute! I can't wait until this comes out! I'm getting it for PS3 because I hate my laptop and its running out of space xD
