Chapter One
A Typical Morning
Jack-Jack pulled open the curtains of her living quarters on Coruscant. The sun shone in blinding her eyes slightly. She gave a yawn stretching out her window. Turning away from it, she poked Brooke, her ferret
"Come on lazy one" she said picking him up. Brooke gave a muffled yelp of protest before curling on her shoulder. "I for one, have been up for an hour, and they say your the responsible one. Hah" she walked back to the window, and mounted up on the sill. With barely a glance down, she flipped her legs over and slid right down the wall to the ground. "Breakfast time Brooke" she said. "You feel like on the go, or eating in? On the go? Me to" she walked past a booth and ever so casually picked up some of the food lying there. She walked off and took a bite
“Jack-Jack! Hey, Jack-Jack!” a voice called behind her. Almost guiltily Jackson turned, moving the stolen food behind her back.
“Oh, Harsh! You scared me” she said, visibly relaxing. “For a moment there I though you were Srg. Penda.”
“Oh, come on Jack-Jack, Penda doesn’t call you Jack-Jack; he calls you ‘JACKSON YOU CRAZY CRIMMINAL!’” Harsha said, running a hair through her short blue hair.
Jack-Jack rolled her eyes. “True, you have a point. Want some?” she added handing over the food. Harsha took some and started walking, Jack-Jack and Brooke right behind. “So, where to?” Jack-Jack asked her friend.
“Don’t ask me, you’re the navigator!” Harsha said laughing.
“Okay, how bout we go into the city square. It’s more interesting there anyway” Jack-Jack said tossing her wrapper in a trash disposal that immediately turned red and burned up.
“Sounds good” Harsh said following her friend.
Jack-Jack walked some ways before she spied a building. She pulled her brown hair into a pony tail, and took a black fedora out of her pocket. With a grin she secured the hat on her head and grabbed Harsha’s hand.
“Oh Jack-Jack, no!” Harsha yelped, but her friend didn’t listen to her. Without another word, Jackson took off at a run, yanking Harsha behind her, Brooke digging his nails into her shoulder.
“Yeah!” she yelled as she ran along the side of a building. She leaped off the side, continuing her run on the next building. She hurried up to the roof, and was soon racing along a flat surface. Harsha gave a scream as Jack-Jack gave a final leap and the two friends landed on the ground with a thump. Jack-Jack landed first, with Brooke still hooked on her shoulder, and held out an arm to support Harsha. Jack-Jack gave a laugh almost falling back at the look on her friends face.
“Jackson, that was SO not funny!” Harsha said when she found her voice. She pushed down her hair with her hand.
“Oh, come on Harsh,” Jack-Jack said with another giggle. “It’s not that bad!”
“Well, maybe for someone like you! But for me-“Harsha said glaring. Jack-Jack was about to reply when a voice sounded behind the two girls.
“I’m sure if you also got use to the Jedi force, you would be use to it to!”
