Main Attributes: Smaller population, open communication with the Celph Available Ranks: Priest, Official, Shaman, Warrior, Companion, Lay Person, Defector, Assassin/Rogue, Other Special: Garrion are known for their abilities of prophecy and empathy. Also able to survive extended periods without food.
Brief Description The Garrion are mostly humanoid, secretive and very superstitious. Much of their culture is centred around their spirituality and a deep belief in their gods and ancestors. In terms of technology, the Garrion appear primitive and naive to the changing world around them. In reality, they possess an in depth knowledge of the natural world, medicine and many of the mysteries of the ocean. Their society and culture is complex but for more open then both the Celph and Common.

Extended Description
The Garrion are, in appearance, very similar to the Common I suppose. They have a basic humanoid structure, but are often taller, and more elongated then most Common. The most obvious difference is easiest seen in pure blood Garrion, but this is not common in the present day as interbreeding between Common and Garrion during the first contact between the two races diluted the gene pool (so to speak).
A pure blood Garrion would have the following distinct features; Elongated fingers and toes; black stained nails; above average hight – usually around 6’7”; unnaturally bright eyes, particularly in blue and green shades; thick black hair, but with little body hair (unless dominate male); both sexes have horns, males usually being larger or more distinct; males bearing long feathered wings, sometimes capable of flight, while female’s wings are often stout and reach no further then their waist; distinctly carnivorous teeth.
One of the most distinct traits of the Garrion is their diet. They can survive on what would be deemed ‘normal food’ for the most part, but will require flesh from another humanoid creature occasionally to fully function. The more strong the individual’s Blood line, the more often they will need to feed and greater quantity of flesh it will require.
This particular habit is kept secret as best as possible by the Garrion as they generally assume it would be frowned upon by the Common. Because of the rumours that build around the Garrion, they have acquired the nickname of Sin Eaters and Death Walkers.

Expanded Physical Appearance
Found Stage Art: Small chest/jewellery box, which the child keeps with them for the rest of their life.
General Physical Appearance: The Garrion’s appearance depends on how strong their blood line is. An average hight full blood Garrion male would be around 6’6” (7 foot is tall while anything under 6 foot would be considered short or most likely cross bred with Common blood), reasonably thin with long arms and legs, elongated fingers and toes, black stained nails, pointed teeth, bright green or blue eyes and horns – either ram or goat like in appearance. Female Garrion would be very similar, but usually with smaller horns (or sometimes none) and somewhat shorter. Both sexes would have wings of some kind, with the males usually having a larger wing span.
Full blood Garrion will almost always have thick black head hair (in any style, straight and curly and affro and whatever), with very little body hair (except dominant males). Like the Celph, only warriors and priests bleach or dye their hair, thought it is less of a social offence for a civilian to do so. It is becoming more acceptable for others to colour their hair in larger cities. Garrion skin colour varies from very pale to an ‘olive completion’, depending on the origin on the blood line (paler complexions tend to be from the forest/jungle or mountain regions while darker colours are usually coastal or desert).
Lesser Blood Garrion may have a mix of these features. Horns and wings will normally be reduced in size or development, and height reduced. The most prominent feature is hair and eye colour, which may still be visible in a very diluted Garrion decedent.

Cultural Over View
The Garrion culture is a mix of archaic tribal customs and inforced Common traditions. With all of the bellow topics it should be understood that the Garrion group as a race is diverse and wide spread, meaning there is a wide range of customs. The bellow are just over views and general themes. They are also keeping closer to the traditional customs, not those adopted as the Common began to 'tame' the Garrion.
Marriage and Relationships Because of the fluidity of gender within the majority of Garrion culture, traditionally marriage is not between 'a man and a woman'. Different tribes have different customs, but generally it's simple a matter of love or sex (no gender but the physical act of). Having more then one partner is acceptable within many groups, while others may limit the number a person can be within.
Polygamy is mostly accepted because of the use of Concubines (particularly among warrior classes who may have both a 'wife' and a concubine living in the same house hold), but also as a way of keeping blood lines diverse and more isolated groups content within themselves.
On the flip side of this is the concept of the arranged marriage. While it may not always be called a marriage (since not all tribes have something like that, it may simply by a bonding ceremony), it isn't uncommon for some groups to have predetermined futures for individuals.
---------------
In terms of clothing, the Garrion have developed a range of class related dress codes. These have de-evolved as the Common colonized Garrion populations, creating a mixed interpretation of once strict guidelines.
Tan and ivory are the base colour for most clothing except for priests, tribal leaders and ceremonies. Black, brown, grey and red are also often found in day to day wear. Mosly muted colours in other words. Green is not a particularly liked colour for clothing. Blue, purple, gold and silver are often worn for ceremonies.
Style wise, it varies. Decorative metal and leather finishing is often found within the Garrion fashion. Layering is used a lot, usually involving a simple under shirt/dress/skirt of ivory cotton with a leather or heavier cotton overlay. Elegant spiral designs are often found of Garrion clothing. Witch Doctors often wear corsets or waist cinchers, with true females (with boobs) often practicing tight lacing.
Pants aren’t uncommon, but generally only worn by workers or Warriors. Accessory wise, anything and everything is used. Common Bone is often worn among the witch doctors and medic classes, as is green gems and mother of pear. Warrors wear polished stones and carved whale bone, as well as the stained bones and skin of their enemies. Feathers, shells and silver are often worn by the general public. Priests tend to wear large disks of highly polished metal, black feathered headdresses and blue gems.
Also, Garrion have a range of tribal tattoos common to each class. Arrows, crosses, stylized wings and other objects are common.
