Puck had found a warm spot in the cold outer city. A pipe coming from who knows where pumped a slight heat even if accompanied by a harsh scent, for the he Puck would deal with it. Pulling some cardboard over him and the pipe made sure the harsh wind stayed away from his body. He snorted slightly as a hair tickled his nose, bringing him back from the sleep he was slipping into. His one good eye scanned the opening of the alley, reminding him he was fearful of sleep. Letting his guard down was not an easy thing to do. After all he only had three legs and one good eye, but he wasn't helpless as long as no one caught him by surprise. Puck's ears flicked as he heard and approaching sound. It was only a human he didn't even bother to look down the alley. Perhaps it was alright to close his eyes? Yes, he had too he needed sleep no matter how restless it might be. Puck allowed himself to slip into a slight sleep.

]As night fell, Savannah quietly moved into town. It was cold, and she was hungry. She hadnt found any good pray in the forest at the edge of the city she called home, so she desided on what she hoped would be an easy meal. Her stomach growled, causing her to scowl slightly as she turned down the nearest alley, moving towards the garbage. Being rather tall, she raised her head to knock the lid off with her nose. Her ears pin back momentarily as the lid clatters to the ground. As no humans came running, she soon started to rummage through the trash.

As the lid hit the ground Puck eyes flew open. He let out a growl instinctively before he even took a chance to see who was there. Feeling rather cornered or taken by surprise he threw the card board from his back and bared his teeth at Savannah. His growl died off but he held an aggressive stance. "For the night this is my alley not your's , get!!" Puck was careful to hide his missing limb with his stance. He rather intimidate than fight if he could help it.

At the aggressive display Savannah jumped in surprise, having thought she was alone. Turning, she growled, baring her teeth at him in defense. "You cant tell me what to do. I can eat where ever I want!"

"Not for the night! For this night this is my territory!" Puck moved forwards a bit trying not to limp from his missing limb. "There are plenty of trash cans for you to hunt in else where." Though he said this is was starting to calm down a bit. This female was not your typical street or junk yard dog. She had a more earthy sent and she had not run or attacked like most street dogs would with his display of aggression, she just stood her ground. "You're not a city dog are you?" Puck asked taking a less aggressive stance but still keeping on his toes.

"I eat where I want to eat. Try and stop me if you want, but I dont believe you would win." She kept her alert stance, but lifted her head slightly. "I'm not a street dog, I'm a wild dog." Her blue eyes watched him closely, not actually feeling like spending the energy on a useless fight, but food was a must.

Puck twisted his face just slightly before relaxing. "Then you are not long term competition. It must be bad if you're coming to the city for your meal." Puck had a respect for wild dogs they seemed to be a little more rational then street dogs. " Eat your fill I've already eaten for the night anyways. Forgive my rashness, the city drives you a little mad at times." He grumbled before showing her that it was ok to calm down by turning his side to her and heading back to the vent of hot air. His missing limb showed itself as he lay himself down again. "And one more thing I would win if there was a fight make no mistake." Puck growled before smiling. "Tell me though if it is not to much to ask. How are things in the wild?"

"Yes...I've seen street dogs act...rash fairly often..." She slowly relaxed her stance, shaking her head slightly as her hackles lowered. As laid down in the pipe he had before though she arched a brow before laughing softly. "You win against me? Thats a good one." She eyed his leg for a moment but said nothing about it. Feeling more at ease now, she went back to the can she was in before, pawing at its contents as she searched for something edible. "The wild is much nicer then here. Very few humans to bother you...though you do have to worry more about things like bears...."

"Like me I suppose." Puck chuckled the clock around his neck chiming to the hour. "Don't doubt that I can't do my share of damage, ma cherie . It wouldn't be my first fight and certainly not my last." Puck replied in a more serious manner. "I know what the wild is like, more interested in the affairs of the packs and wild dogs really. Who's on the move? Who's causing trouble? Or is all calm sort of thing....Used to be a wild me self you know, just found things a little more suited to me here for now......my name is Puck by the way. Oh and I have some left over mice I caught just the other side of those boxes, you can help yourself they don't keep well."

She looked over at him once more before removing her paws from the bin. "My name is Savannah. I dont know how you can stand the smell of the city long." She wrinkled her nose. "Or the noise. Thats why I dont.. visit often." At his offer she smiled slightly before moving over to take one. "...Thank you. Fresh mean always does taste better then garbage..."

"Nice you meet you. It becomes a back ground smell after awhile. Actually makes hunting here easier, there is lots of small game in the city and once you're used to the smell of the city they smell of wild creatures stands out. The noise isn't so bad not my favorite though for sure. One does what they must though. There is rumors of a pack starting here soon and I hope to place well in it." Puck smiled at her last comment. "Agreed, but some garbage is better than others. Like a few of my stops, balls of meat and strings that taste good, rice with meat stuck in them among other human food left overs that I like." Puck licked his lips at the thought of some of the foods he had tried around the city.

"background smell...even the pipe you sit in?" Making quick work of the mouse, she moved a bit closer before sitting down. "I usually dont come into the city to often, but today wasnt a good day for hunting." She paused for a moment before speaking again. "So there is a new pack forming around here?" She glanced down the alley before looking back at him. "I more prefer to walk to the beat of my own paws.."

Puck twitched his nose a little. " Well it's a little harsh but its very very warm......as though I'm sleeping beside a pack member. I rather stink then freeze in this unforgiving weather." Puck watched her eat feeling satisfied that his kill did not go to waste.
"Yes, its about time too, will give some dogs peace of mine and a purpose.....really? Have you ever been in a pack before?"

"...Thats true, it doesnt do any good to freeze, but i still prefer a nice cave to a pipe.." She finished up the last bit of mice before sitting up. "Thank you for the mice, they were tasty.."
She fell silent for a moment before looking away slightly. "...From where I came from.. there was no pack. It was survival of the fittest..."

"Caves are still no where near as warm and toasty as this pipe." Puck said his ears twitching slightly. "You're welcome its a pleasure to exchange some kill for company."
"Sounds lonely and rough. Why do you choose your path?" Puck asked tilting his head.
