The ruins of what used to be the renown Gaians in White, home of those investigators who tried to reach the stars and beyond.
The place where Kiga used to have his reports and stuff, hang around with his pals and being tossed over by Titanium Witch. However, as you enter the place... it's all... nothing.
Nothing of it's former glory remains, only scars of defeat.
However... more than the end, it seems only the begining of something much bigger...
Let it be in the name of Queen Kanoko... and for the sake of that other Gaia...

The proud and secret (at some point) base of the Gaians in White was nothing more than ruins now. Files and devices either smoked or completely destroyed, scattered around the corners and parts of the room he was.
Along the scattered things on the floor, was the memoir that was justice. Justice embodied on a person, whose pain was big and scars where deep. His snowy short hair was all tattered, filled with dust and debris and as damaged as the armor he wore. His pale purple skin filled with blue mauls as pale as his lips. His eyes wide open, in shock and horror that his efforts where in vain. The few debris of the star he had on his forehead, scattered nearby him. There was still the spot where he used to have it marked, as if somebody had grabbed a hammer and went right towards it, breaking it on millions of bits.
The Hero of the Stars, MK-73N5H1, also known by his name of Kiga and the probable last hope of this world, gone.
He was still alive, but barely. But what there is to live in a place like this? Tattered and broken as his soul.

All was lost... completely lost....

The world had indeed been crushed. And that man had just avoided being..warped into whatever it was that crazed machine warped them into when she touched them. Velia sighed, her pale and worn hand gentle as it touched Kiga's forehead. A faint energy shone from it, applying the adrenaline and metabolic boosts necessary for the accelerated healing process. Still, it wasn't anything that she could really count on. Yes, it sped up his natural healing, some. But his wounds were terrible. She'd stitched him up with mundane tools and had been letting her faint healing do the rest. But it was his soul she couldn't repair.

The dark haired older looking woman sighed softly and looked down at her charge. He'd fought gloriously. It made her smile. There was a part of her that praised him for the way he threw himself into the fight. He was both gentle and powerful. A warrior's warrior. It brought back old memories, but she didn't want to dwell on that time. That was the past. She was this person now. Her age showed, especially at a time like this. She looked so old, even though she only looked to be in her late twenties or early thirties. The age showed in her face, in her eyes.

"Gaia needs you Kiga. You have to wake up soon. Without you, there's nobody left. I wish I could do it, but I can't. We'll be in that world soon. You just need to wake up."

Where was that woman? Velia'd been taking care of Kiga, but that other woman hung around too. She needed her for things. She couldn't leave his side, but that woman could go out and get the things she needed.

((okei dokei ^-^))

Luna walked in, with a huff. "Yeah yeah, sorry, sheesh. Getting materials here is kindof scarce." She said, with a small snear. She walked further in, sitting next to Kiga. Her expression sofften a bit, as she put a hand on his forhead. "Did he move at all?"

"No. There is nothing I have been able to do that..helps him at all. Not a bit. I have mended his wounds as best I can. I have sped up his healing processes, but..it is as if he does not want to heal. His soul is torn up. He is fighting with himself, and does not know if he wants to give up, or keep fighting. I've seen it before.."

The plain looking woman brushed her fingertips over the man's face gently, a disquiet look on her face. She had seen it before. Many times before, on battlefields. Even working as a medic, you could tell when someone was fighting on the inside. This man was split badly. She wished she could do more for him. She simply leaned down and kissed his forehead.

"I cannot do anything further. My abilities do not lie in that direction. With what you have been able to gather for me, I should be able to keep us alive a little longer. The convergence will happen soon. Then, we may travel to the gate. Still. This land has become a barren waste, the harshest of lands. On top of that, the disruption between worlds may cause ripples in space. If that is the case, we may run into unearthly things on the landscape that have no business being here. Monsters, perhaps. All of the seals that held things down from a time long ago will now most likely have snapped. We must be careful."

She seemed to know quite a bit about dimensional convergence, despite not having much in the way of any real power. She was wise, if nothing else.

More than his soul, his own heart was filled with sorrow. Unable to save that which he most loved and cherished. His Gaia, the cheery place that had accepted him, had vanished. His friends all lost and his queen.
It didn't matter if all was like that, so long as Kanoko remained. But... with how things where, the posibilities of finding her where very low.
The pieces that where his star had a small glow that menaced to disappear, fracture more.
For now, he would care less if that where so, for being betrayed by the one he trusted. His own self, in another world, that girl with that smile.
Why? Why had Tenshi?...

". . .the armor. . ."

The armor was given to somebody experienced, capable and unbreakable. Tenshi, one her first visit to his place, shyly admitted having obtained the armor by a sort of accident, who knows if mistake.
The fact that could be a possibility only denoted her 'n00b-ness' and also... many other doors.
The armor had turned against it's master, for it's master is not worthy.
Now, perhaps, it's slaying the remaining population of that other Gaia. He had met other friends there too... and Luna, his sweet Luna...
It was hard to even blink, he was far too weak, but the shine of the fragments became quite stronger. Slowly, as if impulsed by magic, they started to gather by themselves, floating in the air and circling around his forehead, reforming again.

He really didn't want to fight, but he had to avenge many things, protect some new ones... he was a Hero, and wanting him or not... he had to give it a try.
Finally, the star returned to normality, and for the first time in a long time, he blinked.

"Ugh. . ." he uttered. Bringing himself to full consciousness had a price: he could feel his aching body. It wasn't the best of feelings, but it could have been worse. He felt a healing energy around him, and, tilting his head as much as he could, he saw two women: Luna and ...that... that other one... wait..

"Velia. . ." he whispered ". . . so nice to see you leave that...rock-home of yours. . ."

Luna grunted. "What do you mean you can't do anything more? What kind of expert are you?! I don't care about what dangers are laid out infront of us, just fix him and do it now!" Luna yelled. She didn't take the news well and the thought of losoing someone else was a harsh relaity, that may have to happen. When she seen Kiga force himself awake, she huffed and calmed down a bit.
PostPosted: Sun Jan 10, 2010 6:40 am

The woman raised her eyes at the outburst. There was no sign of anger from her, but there was also no sign of fear, or anything else. She was calm, maddeningly calm. The way she looked at Luna was the same way one looked at a child throwing a tantrum. Patience, mixed with experience.

"Asking me to do more would be like asking a river to suddenly become an ocean. I cannot force what is not there. An 'expert' does not mean that someone is more capable than their limits allow them to be. I was given a certain measure of power, and I must know what my limits are, and leave the rest to time. We are always learning more. For one who seems to have so much experience, you seem rather emotionally overdrawn, miss, and I.."

The reaction was startling when Kiga spoke. She stopped speaking, and Her expression showed emotion for once, and it was warmth. She gently hugged the man, and smiled warmly as he started to move. It was like those bland eyes only changed when he was speaking, or moving. That was the only time she genuinely smiled or came alive.

"Easy, easy. Don't force yourself to move too much. You're still in very bad shape. And what choice did I have? I couldn't just leave you and your friend to die. I may be a recluse, and I may despise the company of others in my retirement, but I have not grown so heartless yet that I would let the one person who fought against those odds just die. I'm a healer, if only a passable one."

She reached into the supplies and began fixing together something that resembled a sandwich. She had fast hands, if nothing else. She shook her head then, after she gripped the amulet around her neck and murmured what sounded like a prayer.

"Your natural healing will take over from here, I think. You've been asleep a long time, and I'm so very relieved to see you speaking. You have to eat something to restore your natural energies, so try to. Don't force yourself though."

It was odd. She acted so much more like a woman around him. To everyone else, she spoke properly, almost stiffly, and with patience and detachment. When speaking to him, her entire mode of speech changed. It became less formal, and more friendly, and her golden eyes always had a light sparkle in them. It was like she'd formed a bond with him of her own while he slept.

The embrace by Veila was warm, very warm in an ambiance that was nothing more than decay and cold.
He closed his eyes for a brief moment, feeling it course over his body before opening them again.
There he saw Luna giving a tantrum: his lady didn't like to feel useless and so did he. At some point, they where similar in many aspects. Then again, a demoness princess has many things to point out.

"Luna" he turned to her, trying to lift a hand towards her, at least so she'd have something to hold and calm her fits. Anything assuring so she wouldn't blow up what's left of the world "As hard as it is for me to... say it... considerin'...things, It's all right... we'll find out...what to....do..."

However, by we he meant he: only a true armor wielder could battle ....another one.
Legends speak of a time where there where many MK armors, and a dark era where some wielders turned into evil. But there was one who sacrificed everything to restore it back to normal, causing all the remaining armors to merge into 1.
That's right, there where hundred, perhaps thousands of MK-type armors but, only 6 survived. And in the verge of utter darkness, one warrior summoned a great power to merge the 6 into one great armor.
Nobody had been able to unlock said form ever since, and he hoped that maybe with how the crisis is, he might push it a little to re-unlock it.

He started to think strategies on how to re-battle the armor and it's usurper, how he was already weak from the begining due the Sentinel's battle and how she used it on it's advantage. Once he's fully recovered (though that might take pretty much a long time), he might try to tap deep inside to release his full power.

". . . it'll be....all...right... ya'll see... But first... we need to ask...for help on... the other side...."

An idle thought: is his group, the one that battle both B.O.O and S.I.N alive? He was thinking about his beloved L.O.L, the group he formed to find the truth about both cults (which ended being a disgraceful form of lulz). However, L.O.L was also formed with the thought of helping in disgraces, such as these.
He wondered if there where still members up to bring it back... that or... he will have to force it on the GDC once again....

"....'cause... the Leader of L.O.L expects a reunion of....his troops... over that Other Gaia. . ."

Luna grasped onto Kiga's hand, calming down slightly. "But how do we do that? I want to help you. Tell me what I have to do. I would go from Hell and back to help you get well."

"To hell and back..I hope you remember that oath. Out there is like hell when you get into the worst parts now. There were a lot of things here that needed to stay stuck where they were stuck. Now they're free and roaming, and the only things that armored thing left behind. Quite a gift."

Velia sighed and shook her head. She stood then, and gripped up her large wooden cane. She used it when she walked, though she didn't seem like she needed it. It was apparently just kept for sentimental value. In any case, she shifted as she moved and headed to the door.

"Realize that in order to get where we're going, we need to take a convergence gate. That means that we have to wait until the time is right or we won't be able to go through. The margin of error is very small. If we wait too long, we'll miss the portal. If we do it too soon..we could end up anywhere. I can help on the timing. We're going to have to go within the next few days, I think. Until then, Kiga has to recover. And we have to make sure the area is safe. I'm not really a fighter..but I can fire a bow if I have to."
PostPosted: Tue Jan 12, 2010 12:04 pm

"Or..." he had gathered enough strength to at least sit down. That was a good start "We could try to use the portal made by the Gaians in White...."

He had used it before, back when he first landed on Tenshi's Gaia. It threw him nearby Durem, just where the G.i.W ... Oh wait, that's classified. Or is it?
But what ever: the portal was just in front of them but rather than being untouched, it was perhaps the most damaged mechanism in the floor they stood.
He was just pointing at it to prove his ...point, when his jaw basically fell to the floor.
Comical, wasn't it? That meant a nice recovery was going by. However, the only 'stable' portal he knew was now broken.
But he wasn't the kind of person who just sits back and waits, oh no, on the contrary.
He was now planning on how to get there quickly: either follow Veila's instructions (too slow...), find a 'Dark Reflection' (very rare...) or dig his way out (not to bad... but chances are he'd tire himself before arriving)

"O...k.. so, how long will it be before we go and kick asses?"

But more than being optimistic right now, he was rather ...grim.
Thinking on the many ways to actually dismember his parallel self: nobody who did what she did should remain alive, and more so, should die in a slow and painful death.
The usurper of the armor, he had now called her, for the armor must have deemed her unworthy or she wasn't capable of controlling it at all.
This, and more thoughts of the matter of course, where hidden behind his sweet smile, dedicated to the girls.

Luna's anger flaired up, yet again. "I'm from that region, old lady. Hell isn't a problemt for me. As of leaving, we do it now. The sooner we move, the sooner we get there and see what has to be done."
