Musicians friend has EZ and SD expansions cheap. I'm thinking about getting the Custom and Vintage I can see how this can work for electronic/hip hop music too.

Superior sounds great already but it gets old after a while. mmm.

any way I thought I would post up another useless thread hoping to spark up a discussion on drums.

I'd pick that s**t up if I had cash right now. We're half-broke, and there are still bills to be paid and groceries to be bought.

I used to have this really nice little electronica project going on using lots of different loops. Then I had to reformat the computer. I was so pissed that madre did it while I was at school.
I was like "DUDE! MY MUSIC WAS ON THERE!"
^Note I lose my excessive cussing and use of "*****"^
If you want some good little recycled hip-hop beats you can buy DJ Supreme's DJ'ing albums in mp3 format. They're worth it.

I sortof ought to know more about drums. Every time I come to writing a drumbeat my mind just goes "errr" and I don't have a clue what I ought to do with it.

Yeaaaaaah. I try to compose drums via piano roll ('cause I'm lame like that) and I've never played a rhythm instrument so guess what comes out sounding like someone threw a jar of change into a dryer.

Although I could probably actually throw a jar of change into a dryer, record it, and sell it. I'm sure I could talk some sap somewhere into it.

There are ways to obtain superior drummer/ezdruumer. if you know where to look. at least give it a try see if you like it.

the piano roll is so uninspiring. I wish I had an electric drum kit, or triggers. I usually either record on my kit then program/replace, or if it's too late at night i'll air drum it. lol

There's an electric drumkit in my house. It's broken. Also when it was working it used to require hitting harder than I imagine genuine drums would, which wasn't helpful.

My attempts to play were hilarious. You'd think years of piano would have helped me gain a little, but I have *no* co-ordination.

I bet you could make a fortune out of sampling change in a dryer.
