 Leap shivered slightly, the cold was biting and bitter. It was his first encounter with very cold weather. His coat shimmered with snow as he happily walked about. Just because the cold was biting didn't mean he wasn't happy with the ability to be out and roaming. Humming happily he wondered what the day might throw to him.

The snow stuck lightly to her coat and mane as Salcia walked through the fresh powder. Winter was in full power, but that was alright with her, she liked the silent beauty that came with it.
Looking down, she noticed a second set of hooves in the fresh snow. "H-hello...? Is there anyone else out here?"

Hearing sounds Leap turned quickly, what was that noise,
"Hello? Is someone there?"
His eyes focused on the shadow moving towards him, it was small but then again it could be farther away but it was a quiet subtle noise one that would be made by a smaller creature. Smiling he decided to trot in the direction and see what he could see.

Seeing a small shadow far ahead of her was growing larger in a slightly rapid pace. Her ears pressing back a bit, she squinted through the snow. Her heart was racing a bit for some strange reason; a fight or flight reaction of some sort.
"Who are you?" Her voice was strong, and she was surprised it didn't tremble a little; she didn't know who or what was coming her way.

Coming up on a beautiful blue mare he smiled, it was a while since he had seen others like him. Smiling happily he chirped out a reply to the mare's question.
"I'm very sorry if I have startled you m'lady. My name is Leap...I mean you no harm...I just was not expecting to see many out in this weather. Well at least many of our stature."
He smiled a genuine smile, it was nice to speak with someone again and perhaps with a little luck he would make a new friend.

Blinking in surprise at the fellow Usdia, then a warm, friendly smile came across her face. "It's a pleasure to meet you Leap, my name is Salcia."
Tilting her head, she looked at him curiously. "Pray tell, what brings you out on such a desolate day?"

Leap smiled at Salcia,
"Ah well you see the nice cold weather has brought me about to clear my head...I've had some recent issues weighing down upon me and well it just seems as if the cold can make those issues come to light and easier to handle when all I can think of is keeping warm..."
Tilting his head to the side he said again,
"It is a pleasure to meet you Salcia...why might I ask are you out on such a day?"
