 It had been a long day, hunting for food by one's self is no fun indeed. Rai yawned while blinking his eyes slowly in lazy contentment and then he gave himself a little shake to wake himself up. After all, he still needed to make his journey home to his cave.
And so he began to make his way down the mountain carrying his dinner in his mouth to eat at home, ears perked in caution to things around him.

"HELLO!? Enzi!? Momma!?" The desperation in the little cub's voice was clear as the sky. She couldn't remember very far back, she was still young, but she could remember the soft comfort of her brothers and sisters all around her and the presence of their mother.
That memory was so short, so very brief, though. It just seemed that as soon as she had begun realizing her family around her that one morning their mother had gotten up and just... never came back.
Her family had fallen apart quickly after that. She'd gone to sleep and when she'd woken up...
Had they all just wandered away? Maybe it was her, she remembered running around and playing but had she really been that far from everyone? Wasn't it just that morning that momma had gone away too? How long had it been? She wasn't sure. She was just desperate and afraid now that she realized that she was alone.
"BROTHER! SISTER!" The little Cheton wandered morosely, calling out for others that would never hear.

Raimi continued making his way closer to his home with a sigh of relief, he could not wait to--he paused, holding still. A sound could be heard in the stillness of the forest area. The closer he got, he could indentify the voice was female and scared. He slowly began making his way towards the sound incase it was a trap. He would not put it pass pedator's to trick their prey.
Peering through a bush he noticed a little cub all by herself. 'Ah, poor thing probably got separated from her pack.' He knew full well how it felt to be abandoned.
" Hello little one," Raimi came out of hiding and made himself known. " What seems to be the problem little love."

Sijaona gasped, cut off mid-call for her siblings by the sudden intrusion. She scuttled a few steps away from the canine and dropped down to her belly, ears laid back as she looked up at him. He spoke softly... maybe...
Sija sniffled, lifting her head a little bit. "I'm lost... I lost them." And then she began to cry anew. "Have you seen them? I don't know where they are!"

Raimi blinked in startlement at the sudden movement of the cub. 'Ah poor thing, frightened to death she is.' He bent down to listen to her words meanwhile dropping his food to the ground.
" Lost you say? Ah that is a shame, when was the last time you saw your pack? What do they look like?" Rai paused hearing her cry anew with wide eyes he continued. " Now, now! No worries old Rai here will help you find them. No tears now on such a pretty face. Are you hungry?"
Raimi sighed, 'Might as well eat it now while its fresh.' He came closer at a slow pace as to not scare the little cub.

Sija quieted a little, blinking her eyes as she looked up at the stranger. He wasn't a lion, or a cheetah... why was he bothering to talk to her? What's more he was offering to give her something to eat, too...
Almost timidly she gave a little nod. "Uhm. They look like me." How else would her family look? She looked up and gave a little, watery smile. "I... I am hungry..." She was a growing cub after all.
Another sniffle. "My name is Sijaona."

Raimi nodded and replied, "Nice to meet you Sijaona, my name is Raimi."
Rai laughed to himself, ' I guess that was a silly question about what her family looks like.' Coming out of this thoughts he nudged the food closer. "I know you must think it strange that I am giving you my food but I've been known to help damsels distress know and then." He joked trying to cheer her up.

His verbal efforts got no reaction, however when he nosed the food closer she edged closer, looking down at it anxiously as though he might change his mind and snag it away from her. She leaned in, sniffing at the kill, and took a little bite. The little bite turned into a bigger bite as the cub's hunger suddenly revived.
After a few mouthfulls she looked up, her mood picked up a little bit. "Uhm.. thank you. Uhm. Raimi." She gave a small, watery smile before nudging closer to the other. She sat down again, close but not quite touching, comforted to have another presence nearby.
"You really think you can help me find them?" She looked up hopefully.

He watched over the cub as she ate, keeping his eyes level, scanning the woods around them just incase other predators were about. "You are most welcome Sijaona." He cheerfully returned her smile and let her get closer to him, he would never hurt a cub wheither it were a pup or cat. " I am certainly going to try, what is the last thing you remember? Did you go off on your own and then when you came back they were gone?"
He tried to think of what to do next. "Hm, well after you are done eating I think we should walk around to see if you remember anything." He settled down to the ground laying and placing his head on his front paws.

Sija sat up, her little tummy full. She'd wolfed the food down as fast as she could, too happy to have something so delicious to realize that stuffing herself might make her feel sick later. She settled down beside the canine, ears laying back a little as she tried to remember.
Her voice wavered as she spoke. "Uhm. Mommy left. And then my brothers and sisters were gone. I... I d-don't remember anything else." Tears began to leak at the corners of her eyes once more and she gave a hiccup of sadness.

Raimi with a quiet whine of sympathy, ears pulled back, he nudged the pup. " Don't worry little lady. We'll find your parents and siblings. We just need to follow our nose." He winked down at Sija and got up from lying down. " Come, it will be dark soon and the night holds many creatures in it. Dangerous or not."
Snout in the air Raimi began trailing a sent similar to that of Sija's sent, looked like her pack was heading towards shelter for the night. The stench of worry, fear, and loss in the air, no doubt about whose feelings they were Raimi turned back to make sure Sija was following.
"No worries little one, almost there, your family it would appear has been here earlier this morning."
That being said, Riami guided Sija to his home and they both looked over the horizon. There nestled in a cave to the left was Sija's pack. " See, everything as it should be!" Raimi smiled down to Sija and used his nose to push him towards his family. " I will watch you go." The cub looked at him, gave him a nuzzle and then began her journey down the mountain to her pack. Once he saw her arrive safely, Raimi made his way back to his own home. Happy to have helped the young one find her pack.
