He who makes a beast out of himself,
gets rid of the pain of being a MAN!
The heavy metal music flares up the arena as one man approaches from the entrance. That single man looks up at the variety of people, looking in awe of something that makes this promotion special. As he prepares for the battle, he raised his fist in the air and quickly points at the ring with his index and middle finger, showing his desire to do battle against an old friend.
"Making his way to the ring first. From San Jose, California. He is the Black Rider, the Dark Cloud, the Filler of the Void. He is Damian Le!"
Many had heard of him before. Some say that he's the very soul of pro-wrestling. Others, although agreeing that he does have a future in the sport, argues that he is simply overrated. No matter what, the Rider makes his charge towards the ring.
Seconds later, he slips through the bottom ropes and quickly stands up, allowing the music to die out as his opponent makes his entrance.

((Sorry it took so long, my internet has been wonky, and though they said it would be fixed on Monday, they didn't come out until this morning. Bastards.)) "Pride" by Soil began to play over the PA system as his usual video of him performing various moves on various individuals from various different promotions played on the screen. Cross was out on the stage, still in his new costume, as the crowd cheered, regardless of his recent loss to Mr. Kobra. The more times he came out onto a stage in this business, the more he loved it. And it was all because of these people right here. He slowly began to walk off the stage and down the ramp, stopping to perform the sign of the cross, and pray, before lifting his arms high into the sky as his multi-colored pyro began bursting off behind him. As that finished, he quickly went side to side, slapping the hands of the fans as he continued his way down the ramp.
"Heading to the ring, Hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 207 pounds, He is 'The Redeemer' Christopher Cross!"His intro was finished about the time he hit the ring and ran up the steps, walking along the apron to the center, looking out to the fans, his left hand gripping the top rope firmly. At first, it seemed he was just going to stand there emotionless, but suddenly that great big beautiful smile of his came through. He could say it until his voice wore out and his mind broke down, but he loved this business. He kept that thought close as he turned towards the ring and catapulted himself to the inside, over the top rope. He made a quick run to a turnbuckle and jumped up onto the second rope, Hardy style, performing the sign of the cross once more, before jumping back down to the mat and walking over towards Damian. To say he was looking forward to this would be an understatement. As his music fades, Cross extends a hand for a friendly shake.

Cross smiles and shakes, figuring he'd be able to pull his arm away afterward, and let the match get underway.

Damian lets go, in order to show that he has honor. Still, he gets ready for a fight, assuming a fighting position of a grappler.

Chris assumes a similar position, though he drops just a bit lower than Damian. Would that mean he would go in low? Or could it be some sort of tactic to confuse his friend? It seemed to be neither, as he simply went for a simple collar and elbow lock-up, which he would look to quickly transition into a hammerlock with a sleeper applied.

Damian assumes the same lock up made by Chris, however, he was caught surprised by the sudden transition!
His arms is firmly behind his back as Chris tries to make an earlier submission win. Using his free arm, Damian tries to elbow Chris's head in order to get the advantage.

Cross couldn't afford to take too many shots to the head, so early, so after the first one connects, he looks to push Damian away, effectively creating a little space for him to reset.

Damian was pushed just enough so that a few paces are apart from him and Cross. Still, Damian is determined to show what he has in store.
He ran towards the ropes in front of him in order to give Cross a clothesline from a slingshot.

For whatever God awful reason, Cross didn't seem to make any sort of attempt to get out of the way of the clothesline that just leveled him. And now, there he was, on the mat, trying to decide what hurts worse, the front or the back.

Feeling the much need momentum in order get some sort of advantage, Damian quickly goes for the pin.

((A real concussion makes it harder for me to think, which makes it harder for me to come up with a good reason for anything, let alone some kind of humorous quip, hence the not so humorous one. ^_^ )) Cross of course kicks out relatively early after the count of 1. Would have been something to see Damian pin him after one clothesline, though.

Damian knew that it was going to happen, but he'll keep on moving. If Cross sits up, Damian would go for a headlock on the ground.

Of course Cross tried to get up, and was put into the headlock. Well this certainly wasn't good. He would immediately try to throw every sort of blow at Damian's body as he could.
