Winglestune sat by himself in the park yet again. Tons of happy couples and their kids were having a gay time of the beautiful day. It made him yearn for more then being alone and his rather carefree life-style. As he sighed softly and stood, a thought came to him. Couldn't he just adopt a kid and not have to worry with finding someone? Yes, yes he could. With this thought in mind he headed out.
The more he walked the more he thought. Hadn't he heard something about a place for adopting children? Some type of lab not too far from him? He shook his head clear only to realize that he had in fact walked right to the place he'd been only moments ago thinking about. With a smile to himself, he headed inside.

Apoxi was seated at her desk, in the process of working on a very large rubix cube. The woman's poofy hair and the tops of her glasses were about all that could be seen over the front desk as she crouched down over her new toy. Luckily there was a bell if he needed her attention.
(Sorry about short post @-@ she's sayin much in my brain right now)

(It's ok sweetie ^^) When he entered the lobby and went up to the desk he didn't know what to expect. Most likely though, it wouldn't have been to see this poofy haired woman paying no mind to anything but her toy. He started to clear his throat before noticing the bell on the corner. Surely that would get her attention. Wi tapped it lightly twice. Biiing! Biiing!

"UWAH!" Apoxi squeaked, her glasses going askew as she jumped a bit. "Oh! I'm sorry! I didn't hear you come in. What can I do for you?" she asked, immediately straightening the glasses and peering up at him. If one watched her hands, she was hastily stashing the rubix cube in her desk.

Wi pretended to not notice her hiding the toy. Instead her cleared his throat and took on a business manor. "Uh yes, is this where I can adopt a young child?" He was sure he had the right place, but it didn't hurt to make certain. "If it is, I'd very much like to adopt one." His most charming smile crossed his face.

Apoxi blinked before realizing what he'd said. "Huh? OH! Yes, yes it is." she responded, scratching the back of her head sheepishly, "Sorry, I'm a bit out of it today. Yes, you can adopt a child here. Would you like to come pick one out?"

The smile still on his face, Wi nodded his head. "I certainly would," he said as well as nodding. He moved back from the counter so that he could follow her once she started to lead him back.

"Would you prefer a male or a female?" she inquired, removing her glasses and rubbing at them with a wet nap from her desk briefly. Her face looked much smaller and more tired then, her cheeks chubby and dotted with freckles, her nose small and upturned but rather long.

His brow furrowed as he thought over the question. "Female," he finally replied. Wi hoped a little girl would be easier to take care of then a boy. Of course he only thought this because of how he acted as a little boy.

"All right, let's see what we can find you." she stated, showing him down one hallway and towards the rooms. They all had windows in the doors so people could see the kids. They weren't kept in tiny cramped rooms, just very simple ones since they were sent to homes rather quickly.
Soon enough, they arrived at the room of a little phoenix girl. "She's one of the one's we've had the longest and needs a good home. Would you like to go in and meet her? You can't promise anything unless you're taking her though."

Wi had followed her and peeked in several windows. When they stopped in front of the one he looked in to see the young holding what looked like a pet mouse. He blinked in confusion at what Apoxi had said.
"Yes I'd like to meet her." For some reason she looked sad and he was pulled toward her because of it.

He gave her a dashing grin at that before entering the room. The male wondered why she'd been here so long. This question was answered somewhat so after her greeted her in a soft voice. "Hello little one, what's your name?"
The young girl shied away from this strange male, clutching her little friend to herself. New people always put her on edge. She could tell that he noticed from the worried look on his face. Ibinx watched as he looked back to the door then back at her.
Wi continued to frown before he saw a piece of art on the floor between them. Hoping to open her up he sat on his legs and gestured to it. "Did you make this? It's really good." He smiled softly. "I do so enjoy a good piece of art." Sure enough, this got the young girl to smile slightly and relax as she nodded her head.

Apoxi smiled approvingly and headed off to get the paperwork. Yes, this guy'd do for little Ibinx. She was a shy one but he seemed to be doing well with her.

He looked back to the door noting that the chick with the glasses had left. Shrugging he continued looking at the art and pointing out all the things he liked about it to her.
Ibinx was quite surprised someone had liked her little art. She even slightly moved closer as he pointed out all the things he liked. A little blush crossed her face at the compliments.
