Ravii... was truly going to kill himself, today was the day. He had NO IDEA why but... they wanted to meet his new female friend. He said ONE word about her and BAM, it was 'love' in his mother's eyes. He felt sick. They were going to drive him crazy. He hoped to god they would be relaxed and cool... but he knew better.
It was his family after all. They were batshit crazy.

"Ravii, where is she?"
Vati asked as she sat down beside him, nuzzling him in greeting. Her pretty red pelt was covered in a soft layer of mud, making her seem more brown than red. She was pretty no matter what though, Vati had always been so lovely.
"I want to see this girl."
She smirked and poked at his side.

Unlike his mate, Ramlin was pretty relaxed, carefree about this little meeting, he pretty much felt the same way his son did; this whole thing, it wasn't a big deal. So what, she was a girl he was hanging out with, what did that matter?
With a soft sigh the golden eyed male sat down too, his tail tucked behind him.
"Shh, don't be so pushy."
He glanced at his mate and son before rolling his eyes.

Kirana was very confused about the whole ordeal, all she knew what that her new friend Ravii had told her to meet him in a specific area. The reason, as he had put it, was just because his parents said they wanted to meet her and it wasn't that she minded...no it was more the fact that she found herself incredibly nervous.
She shook her head and exhaled deeply to calm the butterflies that had erupted in her stomach, there was nothing to be worried about. Ravii liked her, surely his parents would too. Right?
It didn't matter, she was almost to the place he told her to go. "Ravii?" She called out uncertainly peeking her head out from behind the closet tree.

"Hey! Over here."
He knew she was going to feel weird about this, he did too after all. He could see her pelt from afar and looked at his mother, as if begging her with his eyes to stay cool.
"My mom... and dad are here."
He sighed. She was going to be jumped, for sure.

"Oh! Dear, she is SO pretty."
Vati whispered as she nudged her son in the side, smiling as brightly as she could. She was SO happy that he had picked such a pretty girl to... well, bring home to the family!
"Come here lovely, no need to be afraid!"

Ramlin felt SO out of place, that poor girl was about to be nuzzled to death and she didn't even know it. With another deep sigh he nudged at his mate and whispered to her.
"Love, relax, you are going to make this really really weird if you don't."
As he spoke to her he smiled, as if acting like everything was alright.

Kirana's face lit up when she heard, and spotted, Ravii. He was her best friend after all. "Ravii!" She chirped happily trotting closer to the darker male. It wasn't until Vati spoke to her that she even realized his parents were so close. Immediately she froze unsure of what to do, to proceed as normal or to be on her best behavior in order to impress the others' parents.
"Oh...um...uh...hello!" She replied tracing her paw in a circle pattern out of nervousness, the butterflies had returned. She inhaled deeply, held her breath for a minute, let it out and smiled sheepishly at the other female. "Nice ta meet you Ravii's parents," she stated cheerfully enough taking a few steps closer.
She just needed to be herself.

"Kirana, this is my mother, Vati, and my father, Ramlin."
He wanted her to feel... well, less weird about this but he knew that wasn't going to happen. They thought that like... this was a love story gone right, when really... they were just friends.
"You are so pretty."
Vati spoke out as she stood and moved to nuzzle the younger female, smiling brightly.
"My boy is so lucky."
"Kirana, it's pleasure to meet you."
Ramlin smiled and nodded at her, though he stayed sitting by his son, unlike his mate.
"Dear... they are just friends."
He had to remind her.

Kirana was so very thankful that she couldn't blush despite the fact she could feel her cheeks heating up. "Hello," she mumbled glancing down in minor embarrassment. She could hear her heart thudding in her chest and wondered if they could hear it too, never before was she so nervous. She blinked and jerked her head up at the compliment his mother gave her.
"Why thank you! You're very pretty too!" She chirped happily glad that the other female had given her something to say. And pretty Vati was, the pink female could see where Ravii got a lot of his looks from, the pretty red from mother and markings from both. "Nuh-uh, I'm the lucky one," she stated with a nod. "Ravii's been helping me figure things out here, I'm lucky that he's willing to help me," she admitted with a shrug glancing at the male.
It was true, without him she would probably be wandering around confused and uncertain. And she would've never heard of the murders going around, she could've ended up dead!

Ravi blushed. They... were getting along well, this was bad. His best friend and mother... friends? He felt his stomach ache. He knew when females got together they talked... he could hardly wait. His life was over!
"Anyway, ugh.... dad, we should leave them alone, they seem to be getting along, give them some girl time to talk, or something?"
In all truths he just didn't want to be here! If he didn't leave now his mother might start talking about cubs!
"Oh, yes! What a grand idea, son. You men go play somewhere else, I want to spend some time with my new friend."
Vati smiled, giggling as she sat herself down beside Kira, wrapping a paw around her shoulders.
"We have a lot to talk about, I'm sure."
"Yeah... good idea."
Ramlin chuckled and stood up, moving over to his son.
"Let's... go find something else to do, this... this could take awhile."
Oh, the end, it was near.

Kirana obviously wasn't really getting the whole picture but that was simply just her and the way she worked. Ravii and Ramlin were leaving? But wait, she hadn't even gotten to talk to Ramlin. And was Ravii really going to leave her alone with his mother? While she liked the red female she wasn't entirely sure if that was the best idea. "But Ravii wait!" She called after him unsure if she was willing to let her friend part.
She pouted for a minute as she pondered what to do. She let her gaze wander away from Ravii to his mother. "Talk? About what?" She asked a bit confused. She tilted her head to the side. "Talking's good. Let's talk!"

As soon as the males left Vati stood up and nudged the younger female with a smile.
"Let's go for a walk."
She could tell that Kira was uneasy about Ravii leaving, but... this was GIRL time now, no time for boys.
With that the two left into the swamp. Oh, this was going to be good.
