Simon Jekel poked about the sand placed in a red box of sorts. Frowning a bit when bree hollared it wouldn't bite.
Psh. If anythign even TRIED to bite him they'd have it in for em! He snorted, cautiously stepping into the box. He flinched a bit as his tail scraped across the wood, before hitting the sand.
He stood there a moment, before flopping down and poking at it. It wasn't nearly as fun as the pool... but it would do.

Axel plodded down the path, loosening the tie he was still wearing from work. He shot a glance down towards the boy toddling along behind him, "You okay, kiddo?" He earned a nod. The two stopped by the sandbox- Nero's favorite spot. He'd gotten in trouble once when he'd try to burrow in it, though... Oh well. His guardian waved him off, "Go ahead, I'll be over here." And he took a few steps away.

Nero began his walk into the sandbox, but hesitated when he finally noticed the other boy. "O-oh... H-hewwo." He offered uncertainly before plopping to his knees in the sand. His skin was rough, armored, so it didn't even scrape when the sand rasped across his knees.

The boy watched as another approached. Any other "normal" kid seemed to be keeping their distance. The fact giving the young child a bit of his pride, only seen in the fact that he was sitting a bit taller instead of being hunched over. "Lo." he simply responded, dragging his toy shark(Jaws to be exact) through the sand, pretending it was water. Making low roars and such under his breath as the shark apparently ate a barbie he'd stolen from his sister.

Bree was settled on the nearby bench, reading about some great myth "HAH." she shounted out suddenlly. "What a bunch of s**t. Traps don't fall like that." she gave a sage-like shake of her head, afterall she was the master of this kinda stuff.

The boy watched as the toy shark went after the barbie and flinched slightly- he wasn't the violent type. He turned away slightly, tail curling around so that his stinger drooped out of the edge of the box. He pulled up some sand and began burrying his legs, completely happy with that tiny task. The sand was nice... And the sun was warm... And he felt almost at peace with his inner animal. Luckily he wasn't hungry, or that inner animal connection might have made him change his violence policy so he could get a bite. He rubbed at the side of his nose before pulling out a few little animal toys from his pockets and dumping them in the sand, beginning to play out a little scene.

Axel turned to glance at the yelling woman, brows arching slightly. He was in the middle of tousling his black, green-tipped hair, and stopped for a moment. He was already behind the bench, and he just took a few frighteningly silent steps forward and leaned forward slightly to peer over her shoulder. He ended up kneeling down, arms resting on the back of the bench, head tilted, "Really?" He wondered outloud before going silent for a bit. "... Whatcha reading?"

Jekel was content to play by himself for a moment more, before he got bored and turned to the other child. A bit of adhd going, "Hey..." he piped up, tilting his head to the side. "Whatcha playing?"

Bree craned her head back to see the man behind her, pawed feet tapping idly on the grass below them. Her grey ears twitched as she grinned "aa.. Aladin. Well a rewrite of it. Fer kids." She looked back at the pages, thumbing to the next "It's not worth readin though. I'll probably get the original."

"D-desert." The boy responded without looking up from his game- he had lizards and scorpions and coyotes and all sorts of little desert critters. And then there was one human toy. "He's wost i-in t-the d-desert, see? A-an' the aminaws..." He kind of zoned out after a moment or so, lost in his game.

The man seemed surprised for some reason before offering a warm smile, "You don't say? Aladdin, the great thief, yeah?" He didn't know too much about stuff, but he knew just enough. He didn't study into myths and legends, he just knew about them. "Really?" He chuckled, "I guess you could expect that from a kids book... They're changing all the stories and crap now so that kids can read them." He pushed himself back up and moved to sit on the bench beside her, eyes darting momentarily towards Nero.

"Oh..." jekel blinked, curiosity perking. "Never played that..." the boy stared at the toys trying to remember what he'd learned about different places. "Hn... Sharks arn't in the desert tho..." he frowned at his toy. Curses! He couldn't join in. No fun...

Bree nodded, dropping the book into her backpack. "Not as great as I'll be though. Even if he is just a storybook character." she leaned over, nearly folding up on herself as she stuck her head into the backpack, digging out a nice shiney gem from the bottum "See. This is my latest." she stated with utmost pride. "I had to fight off THREE bands of theives. And a giant monkey. The monkey was smarter."

The boy stopped to think for a moment before looking to the other with a smile, "W-weww.. We couwd... Pretend an' m-make up a new kinda s-shark." The scorpion mused, glancing over his toys thoughtfully. "A s-shark th-that wives in tha sand." He used one of his extra legs to wrap around a small toy and move it closer to the others, dumping them all in a sort of pile. New game!

The man grinned slightly, "I used to have an exciting job." He moved a hand to adjust his tie and wriggle his eyebrows, "Now I'm a business man." He sighed a bit and slumped back in the bench, legs stretching out infront of him. "It's for the best, I guess. Makes good money. Besides, I gotta keep my nose clean for awhile.." He left it at that, crossing his ankles and watching the child he had taken in playing with the shark boy.

"Really?" Jekel blinked, perking up a bit. "O..Okay." he agreed, tossing the barbie to the side. Quickly getting into the game. "Okay. The sharks swimming an... and.. Whats that one?" he pointed to one of the creatures, ceasing his dragging of his toy through the sand.

Bree nodded, tuckign the gem safley back in her backpack. She looked up, watchign the two.. Getting a small tinge of pride that he finally was getting along with someone.
She perked a moment, wagigng her tail some "Hey, wanna go on a date? Nothin serious or anything, I just haven't been out in awhile." she nodded, not wanting to scare the guy off. He was cute after all.. and she meant it. She wasn't ready for anythign serious.. just liked having a good time.

The boy nodded, smiling and folding his two extra arms neatly to his sides. All of his extra body parts were always getting in the way- but he was learning how to hold stuff really well with his claws. He could do it almost exactly like a kid with normal hands now. He went to get into the game as well, but after the question he decided he should probably introduce Jekel to the world of the desert animals. "Umn.. That one's a muwe (mule XD hard to tell)." He put away some of his animals, deciding having too many wasn't fair when the other boy didn't have a lot. "This one's a, umn, scorpion like me... This one's a horned wizard. Jus' so you knows." He had pointed out all the animals as he said their names, and then prepared himself to play the part of the mule. It looked like that was going to be the shark's first victim.

The young man watched the two of them, happy that they'd come across another kid in the park that was like Nero. Most other kids hid from the boy, and it was hard for him. Axel smiled a bit to himself before being snapped from his thoughts by the woman beside him. He looked towards her curiously, brows arched, smile lingering. He seemed unphased by her question, unembarrassed. He liked having a good time too. "Sure, sounds fun. We could get a baby sitter for the runts and they could play together, too. It'd all work out. Seems like they get along..." Now, he was off the subject of kids... "So, what kinda places do you like hanging around? I think it'd be good to know, or else I'll end up dragging you into your own hell or something. Trust me, I have that kind of luck." His smile turned sheepish.

Jekel nodded taking in the animal names before continueing"Okay. He sees the mule then."
He gave a pause, frowning a bit in thought. "Are mules yummy?"

Bree nodded, grinning "Yep!" she paused at his next question, laughing then frowning a bit in thought "Iunno. I like everything really..." another pause "I know! You suprise me! Make it an adventure." Ah. how she loved adventures.

The boy hesitated, pondering on that. "Weww... He wooks kina wike a cow. Cows are yummy... So, yeah. Muwes must be yummy." He nodded sagely. Nero shifted slightly and moved a claw, clamping it over the back of the mule and waiting for Jekel to finish.

Axel smiled wryly, "Surprise you, huh?.. Hm... Alright..." He stretched out his legs and crossed his ankles. "But lemme ask you a few things, first- I've got to know some stuff about you before thinking up your surprise..." He ran a hand through his hair and let out a deep breath, pondering for a moment, "Lessee... Do you like..." He went silent again before grinning, "Nevermind, nevermind. I have a great idea." He waved a hand slightly.

"Thats true!" Jekel nodded, Finishing his little senerio "So the shark sneaks up and then he ATTACKS the mule!" He made the shark gobble down, as much as it could, ht emule. Mindful of not smacking Nero in the process.
"Now... The sharks full. So, he's gotta find a friend to play with!"

"Okay.." Bree smiled, awaiting the question beofre he waved it off with an idea. Crap now she was curious. She bit her lip, crossing her legs as she tried to tell herself it'd be worth the wait. Only....Uhm. Wait... "So when are you free?" Hm. she'd almost forgotten to schedule a day and time... and her phone number and address. Those helped too.

Nero then released the mule and simply made some screaming noises as it was eaten- hey, no one would let themselves be eaten without screaming! Like in that movie he saw with his dad that one time... "A-a friend?" He looked to his animals and then grabbed the scorpion. "Th' s-scorpion wantsta p-pway wif th' sh-shark, so he comes over." He made the scorpion walk over and then waited.

The man let out a thoughtful sigh, fingers drumming over the backpiece of the bench. "Let's see... I'm open... Any day after four.. Except Sunday. Sundays are no good." He gave a shake to his head before smiling and looking back to Bree, "So, when's good?

((I'm so bad. XD *comes back to finish this 2 stages later*))

Jekel grinned, awkwardly ropping his shark about the sand. "How bout they play.... Ahm.... Hide n seek?" The boy finished with a burst of energy, having thought of something. He puffed his chest up in success.

Bree gave a thoughtful look, "Hm... Everyones allways out on saterday, so how about friday night?" She fumbled around her bag for a peice of paper, easily jotting down her address and phonenumber.
