*~Welcome everyone to Care of Magical Creatures! I will be your Professor, Matilda Bane, or you may feel free to just call me Matty or any other nickname. As long as you will treat me with respect I will do the same to you, but be warned: any prank pulling and I will feel free to take that as an open invitation to wage war with you!~*
Enjoy!

Rena smiled, rolling up her sleeves as she stepped a few yards from the padlock. She tossed her ponytail over her shoulder as she prepared for the other students to arive for their Care of Magical Creatures class. It would never be her best subject, but she found Beasts (As they were deemed in Fantastic Beasts and Where to find Them) of all sorts so interesting, she couldn't resist taking the course.
She knelt down, dropping her bag next to a tree and pulling out her notepad, grabbing a quill and scribbling the date down in the corner of the page as she waited for the other students and the teacher to arrive.

Gale waved at the Slytherin girl as he walked into the clearing, his backpack thrown over his shoulder, his tie partially undone, and it looked like he'd partially untucked his shirt as well. He grinned at her as he tossed his backpack down next to hers and leaned against a nearby tree, "Class hasn't started yet....that's a relief. I thought I was going to die inside the way Professor Kurama was making me work."
He chuckled, "The man expects nothing short of perfection!"

Running to the field, Arianna finds two other students ahead. She was sure she'd seen them in other classes, but she never really paid attention. The Ravenclaw was leaning against the tree and the Slytherin was next to another tree hanging out and writing something.
Arianna also decided to go to the nearest tree she could find and sit down, setting her messenger bag on the ground next to her. The other two students seem to be talking now, so she decided to take this time to open up her Care of Magical Creatures book and look through it, skimming through the pages and just staring at the pictures in general.

Striding into the clearing, Professor Baine's peasant skirt billowed around her as she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. Spotting three of her students already present, she smiled as she passed them. "For once my student's beat me to my own class. That's something you'll find doesn't happen too terribly often as I am a firm believer on punctuality." She glanced over her shoulder to give them all a pointed look as if to emphasize her point for future reference.
Sitting on a tree stump smack dab in the middle of the clearing, she straightened out her blouse as she turned her attention to them, folding her hands on her lap. "And I suppose that none of you would happen to know about a little something about a boggart that's been roaming free around the school, now would you?" She had just finished locking it away before she came to class, having caught it tormenting a poor second year in the form of the headmaster, funnily enough. She had to restrain herself from laughing as she helped the poor boy to his feet and sent him on his way, giving him a pass to the class he had been late for.

Well, that counts as at least once class she doesn't have to worry much about being late in. If her own Head of House was having trouble being on time as well.
'I wonder if another Hufflepuff trait is that they're not very punctual.' As the teacher gave her little speech on how she was late to class, Arianna smiled a bit. She'll have to use that excuse later on if she's late again..only change it up of course.
When asked about the boggart she simply just shook her head no and closed her book, keeping it on her lap. Weren't boggarts those things that if you saw it, it would turn into something you were most afraid of? She prays she never runs into one. Huge does not want territory.

Rena laughed slightly at Gale's comment, putting both her notebook and pen in the same hand and holding it at her side. "Oh come on, it can't be too difficult," she said simply, before turning her attention to the Head of Hufflepuff as she strode into the clearing towards her class.
Hearing about the boggart, she had to laugh to herself dryly. She had no taste for the beast, though really it had little effect on her since it had to walk away to actually get to her. Still, she had to reply. "Nothing at all professor," she said with a slytherin smirk.

Riley walked through Hogwart's castle grounds until she came to the clearing where Care for Magical Creatures took place. The teacher was standing in front of three students; Rena, Gale, and a Hufflepuff student Riley did not recognize. A tiny smiled tugged at Riley's lips, aside from potions care for Magical Creatures was her passion. She planned on setting out into that field once she was done with Hogwarts.

Gale chuckled at the professor, "No professor, but I would know a little something about the dragon that's been roaming the halls." He shrugged, "Blame it on the headmaster." He tugged his sleeves down slightly, to hide the burns that were currently healing on his arms, "We've been trying to catch it since term started."

Now talk of dragons wasn't exactly what Locclyn expected to cover in her first day of Care For Magical Creatures.. though if she had to guess the comment she first heard upon approaching the clearing didn't really have anything to do with the actual class so much as the only guy in a clearing full of girls attempting to show off his "battle wounds." "heh, I wonder if I should be impressed too?" While he made a show of hiding his marks, Locclyn was reminded that she better do the same, she came up to stand near the Hufflepuff student who looked, at least at first glance, to be the least threatening of everyone.. however, she had been wrong about people before *shrugs* As she sat down her rather large bag she took the time to adjust her robe so that the collar covered her neck and right sleeve was clutched casually in her hand. Locclyn raises her left hand to get the teacher's attention but since it seemed to be fairly imformal at the moment went ahead and asked "Professor, not to rush you but I'm really curious what we'll be starting with today... and if there will be any live specimen??"

As soon as the words were out of her mouth, up walks the Centaur. Though the though was fleeting she couldn't help but laugh to herself as she realized her gut reaction--and probably the gut reaction of a few fellow students if she had to guess--was that the Centaur was the live specimen in question. She dismissed the though as soon as it because truly conscious however, knowing full and well that the few Centaurs she had had dealings with in her past would give her a good sound kick in the backside. Her second though was how much the Centaur made her miss her friend, Thessaly. Deciding to supress the lovely range of memories that threatened to surface, she instead extended her hand--her right was which was Highly unusual for her--to shake the new arrival's. "Well hello Centaur, got a name?"

Jade walked into her Care of Magical Creatures class. She leaned against a tree looking forward to pulling a prank on one of her fellow students. The professor may not like pranks being pulled on herself...but she never said anything about pulling pranks on students. Jade pulled out her wand and spun it around in her hand. She looked around and noticed a Hufflepuff. She remembered her name...Arianna was it? She had a closed book on her lap. Jade smirked. "Engorgio!" Light spurted out of her wand and hit Arianna's book. Her book enlarged so that it was big as a cauldron. Jade snickered. "Well you seem to be a bookworm. Shouldn't you have been sorted into Ravenclaw?" Jade said laughing. "Ah just messing with you hufflepuff. Reducio!" Jade's wand spurted out a red light and it hit Arianna's book. Her book turned into it's original size. "No harm done eh?" Jade said smiling. You see Jade has always been a trouble maker just like almost every kid in Slytherin. Plus Arianna is a mudblood. Jade really disliked mudbloods.
