 The evening sun was brilliant as it slowly disappeared from the lion's sight. Pattin's jewel colored eyes slowly closed as he allowed the image to burn into his mind. Really pretty all those colors were.
The lion felt absolutely at peace as he rested there - no wars, no prides, no family, no sickness - there was nothing holding him down or casting worries upon his shoulders. Nope! All the lion needed and had was surrounding him. The plants and the land itself was enough.
Including the occasional prey or two as well. Pattin winced as he tore into another chunk of meat - poor thing. He had thanked it for its sacrifice countless times before finally eating the unfortunate beast.
With a sigh the lion shook his head and returned to his evening meal.

Like all good scavengers Tikoto was up with the dawn in search of a meal and had survived on scraps til this point. Her shrunken stomach called out to her from the pits of hell. Blood, blood, blood.. It was never enough! She moaned and tossed her head to the sky. When would she ever be full?!
A shiver ran from the tip of her nose down to her paws. Was that...was that food? Oh yes, oh Gods yes. One way or another she was going to have it whatever it was. She slithered across through the underbrush to the lions side. Temptation pawed at her. Go for the scraps or the juicy male eating them?

Pattin had lived alone in his little sanctuary long enough to be able to feel that something was up. The lion's ears twitched toward a faint rustling sound. Barely there but still - not many small animals would slither so close to a lion. He should know - once he had tried making friends with some after all.
He frowned and scooted over to the other side of the dead animal. What should he do? Was it nothing, just a figment of his imagination? Or should he push towards the truth? Pattin sighed once more before ripping off a leg. With a quick motion he threw the carcass part into the underbrush nearby.

In that same swift motion Tikoto shot her head out like a meerkat and cat the leg efficently. Her orchid eyes sparkled. Oh goody, flying food! She mawled around on it while sitting up, but finally she gave in to gravity. Laying it down on the ground outside the brush, she sauntered over and hovered over top of it in case the male decided to take it back.
Delightfully crude, prey animals. Their fur always got caught in her fangs when she ripped it off. She poked her tongue underneath the skin, lapping up the tendons as they slid out.

Usually he never ate much, and today was no exception. Watching the strange lioness had really taken most of Pattin's appetite away. One last bite finished up what he wanted of his meal and with a stretch the lion stood.
Quietly he began cleaning his paws, but was wary of the lioness. Never did his eyes leave her - despite the gross eating behaviors that she was so kindly demonstrating. He nearly gagged at the sight, but behaved.
The only question besides the obvious ones was : What would she have done had he not tossed the leg?

Tikoto's appetite never reared it's head fully until her tastebuds had fully tasted the meal. She practically inhaled the rest of the meat with enough snarls and growls to contend with the biggest hyena pack.
She snapped her head up to watch the male as he preened. Her attention span was so short she forgot his presence til that point. A warning snarl ripped through her throat. The lioness hunkered down over her prey for another bite, but there was none left. She settled herself by snatching the bone up in her mouth, slipping down onto her back and basking in the tainted earth.

Pattin nearly snarled back due to pure habit before shaking his head. With a kick the lion sent the rest of the carcass flying. Sorry, my prey. He thought with a wince as it thudded into the ground right next to the crazed lioness. At least the spirit had already left with the quick death...
He shook his head. "Take it." The words came out softly, but were low like a growl. He wasn't afraid of her - but the waste wasn't something he'd want to take care of. If she would eat it all, then fine.
Disgusting like a hyena... Pattin rolled his eyes and went back to cleaning the mess from his fur.

"I don't want it." The lioness' eyes hadn't left his course fur. She licked the blood off her maw with a sweep of her reptilian tongue. "I want you."
Take it however he wanted. Her life circled around her devil may cry attitude. Beastial means of gratification lead to a weakness in the male brain. At that point she could have her steak and eat it too.
Tikoto scraped the side of her face up against the carcass. Her body rode low on the ground with each slink she made his way. "Play with me, big man. I feel so...neglected."

"What?" Pattin nearly jumped to his paws, but forced himself to calmly rise. His tail twitched low against the ground betraying his sense of unease as he watched the female. Big man? Neglected? Seriously?!
Was he really awake? Or was this some divine punishment for some wrong he committed without knowing it? "Sorry, lady." He commented backing up several steps, "But this 'big man' doesn't really care to remedy that problem of yours."
He sent his best glare at her, "Take the food and leave - or just leave. Either option is fine by me."

The sleek tendons in her shoulders rolled with the seductivity she implied. "You heard me." Her voice held more contempt in it than playfullness and rolled off with a crazed cackle. "I don't care if your into other males. Let's play a love game~"
Tikoto's frazzled mind didn't process his words well. She stilled. The demon inside coiled within the pit of her stomach and struck. "I'll have my meal! Make no mistake about that." Pissed didn't describe her. No one denied Tikoto her pleasures. "But it will come from your flesh!"
She snapped at his side.

Eww...other males? Pattin's mind was still reeling from the shock of her actions before her new words soaked in. Food? Him?! A meal? Pfft! This lioness was crazy!
Pattin growled low, "Sorry to disappoint you some more!" If it were two things he hated - violence and bad manners. And definitely trying to eat another lion counted both! He moved back away from her jaws with shock.
She was serious! "Seriously insane." Muttered Pattin as he circled around her. But no matter, it seemed like he was going to have to do the thing that normally no one would push him to.
He was going to fight?
Pattin roared and raised up on his paws- claws out stretched- and then.... bolted. There was no way in hell that he was going to willingly fight an insane lioness! The lion familiar with the area quickly found shelter under the tall grasses and trees.
"Not today, you won't." He muttered before disappearing into the darkness of night.
