Welcome!
So I've got this vision of Marselan living under a the branches of a tree with high concentrations of mana, similar to Trent, that produces primarily bellgrapes and other fruit that would be good for fermenting and flavoring.
The reason for this is when I saw him I thought of wine.
Since I'm really new to this shop still and it's been a while since I played Legend of Mana, I'm really playing things by ear and am open for constructive criticism, plot and background ideas, and new members (yes this could mean you! if you want...).
But Marselan would definitely be the head honcho no matter what is decided. Not because he's a leader per se, but because it's all his fault. xD
So yes! Please bear with me, because it could be a while before I get everything set up... Oh and if you want to join or if you have ideas to share, please PM them to me!

Updates
27 Feb 2010
Added images of Zidane, Akuji, and Phaedra to first page. Setting up page two for profiles, with notes, etc. Also added a list of in-shop RP links that I will use for the set up of page three, once I have those RPs archived.

After extended judging from the Roleplay Prompt Contest, Zidane has finally found a home! Now he can be paranoid and grouchy in his own little cave.

Revamped the layout just a bit and wrote out the setting. Kinda nice place, wouldn't mind living there... I guess what I need to do now is to come up with profile templates, banners, and a real (pretty) layout. I should name the tree... >>;

Several insane (and hilarious) rounds of Franken games were played, with MoogerMint and Poisin Ivy Josephine. From it, I won my "Lady Bug" Sibylle and "Mime's Blood" Xenoie. I laughed so hard with Xenoie, I got a painful case of the hiccups. She has perma-teen siblings owned by MoogerMint (Jagmi) and Blood_Goddess (???)

Lead to this shop by Dooma, and subsequently gifted my first Lumina! ;.; <3 Marselan was won in a "quote this post" giveway. I later won Uyu in a dice roll contest; his twin brother Severus was won in the same giveway by Orisis. Won Haüyne in a similar contest on the same day!

Setting
Picture if you will, the wide, sprawling branches of a gigantic tree, one whose trunk could house on its own the carving of a quaint cottage. Then, instead of living inside this tree, a rainbow of katorai flitting about from branch to branch or reclining back in peace or languor, dappled in gently filtered sunshine. Its flowers give way to fruit one can easily carry two-handed.
Many of the branches come near to brushing the ground on their own. Vines and moss that dangle along its limbs like a shawl actually tease the grass and moss below as a katorai races down its length. Or perhaps said limb bounces as it is used like a hammock in the afternoon hours.
Marselan originally favored these lower branches because of his inclination to ferment the juice from the tree's fruit. It is so much easier to harvest and do his work nearer to the ground. Not only that but the branches here are so much wider, strong and convenient for his uses.
But then he found in succession an apprentice and several cubs who needed his guidance and protection. Why him, you ask? No one can say, really. But these lower branches are so much safer for young children to play on. Perhaps as they grow they will prefer to venture higher...
Further up in the tree are two interesting neighbors. One likes to give the wine-making process a hand, or a lyre, to sweeten the brew. The other thinks Sela and Jay should get a real job and rarely hesitates to say so. A song of sorts often filters down with the morning mist as these two annoying neighbors exchange heated words, or derisive laughter.
This tree is located between several well-known trails, and is easy enough for a traveler to find. As such there are often visitors, wanderers, and friends dropping by. Marselan's two rules are to have fun and not to fight... if you can do that, you are always welcome. Why Jay and Red are allowed to bicker? Well... he seems to think that they're actually enjoying themselves, strange as that may sound...
