Mzio sigh. He really wanted to relax today, but it was terrible hot. He lay on his back and hope that the dirt would cool his backside. It didn't, it just made his back very itchy. Mizo got up and look around for a tree. He spoted one but it was a tad bit small, but Mzio knew that some shade was a lot better then none. He walk over and sigh. The hot sun was beating down on his white and blue fur and it was killing him. He walk a little faster because the tree was sounding a lot better even if it was small. He walk over and flop down. The shade had an amzaing affect and he was feeling a lot better already. Mzio sigh happily. He was gald that there was a tree near by,
Dysini'mbus stalked across the plains with a heavy frown on his face. It was hot and despite he had a light coloured pelt, he was still overheating in the sunlight. Usually, he was able to avoid the majority of the heat with his light coat. The male hated the heat. Muttering to himself as he moved, breath coming out in pants and his paws heavy as he walked.
“Why didn't I stop at that tree?” He was muttering, because he had passed a nice thick three a while ago when he had just started walking. The trees had gotten scarcer and scarcer the further he went until he could spot only a tiny tree in the distance could be seen. Moving towards it, he could vaguely spot another figure under the tree, but he was hot and he didn't seem to care it was occupied.
Mzio look up a spotted a image in the distance. He couldn't figure out what the image made. He titled his head to see if that could have made it better but it didn't. Mizo sigh. Hopefully the image who was walking up to him didn't want to fight him. Mzio could run right now, but it was too hot for that and the tree was keeping him cool. He was not going to give that up. Mzio would just have to trick it, if it wanted to fight him. If the image just wanted to share the shade then that would be find. Mzio was hoping that the image would just keep walking and would leave him alone. He sigh. Mizo had the worst of luck and he knew it.
Dysi had no intention of walking passed the only spot of shade he had seen in a fair while, sick of the heat and the sunshine. He never wished more that it would rain or that clouds would cover the sky. Even walking at night time would be better. He approached the tree with a fast, assured pace, eyeing the person who he now spotted under the tree. Great. Hopefully, it wasn't agressive, because Dysi did not feel like fighting. He was a good hunter and a better fighter when it came to it, but it was too hot for that.
“Greetings,” Dysi said, stopping just out of the shade. “May I borrow your shade for a while?” He wasn't really giving him a choice though, he wanted shade and he was going to get it, one way or another.
Mzio was relive that image was a nice looking leopard. He seem friendly enough and Mzio did not want to fight, because he knew that he would loose. Mzio didn't have a backbone and it was surprising that he could live in the rough rouge lands. He smiles and greeted the leopard. "Hello there. I would be happy to to share the shade if you don't mind me laying down, because I'm already am," he say with a laugh. Mzio hope that the leopard didn't take that in the wrong way, it was just Mzio way of being nice. Mzio knew the tree would attract animal this time of the day. No one would want to walk in the sun when there was a tree right in front of you.
Dysi eyed the male before him. He was smiling at him, which confused him momentarily. Ah well, at least he was friendly. Dysi had nothing against other creatures, but the heat was making him grouchy. He stiffled down his annoyance, realising that it would be rude to snap at the male who had yet to do anything to irritate him, other then exsisting while it was hot. “No need to get up on my behalf,” Dysi said, moving into the shade and flopping onto his rump but standing sitting up. He was fairly close to the other male, but he didn't care, it was getting him in the shade at least.
Supposing he should be polite, he said simply, “Dysini'mbus. My name.” He didn't ask for the other males, enjoying the shade for a while. He figured the male would give his name eventually.
Mzio look at the leopard and saw that he was grumpy and stop smiling. He wonder if the leopard was going to attack him. He worried but kept clam. The sun could drive the nicest of animal off the deep end, to were they would do thing that didn't mean to do. Mzio was going to keep his guard up because he didn't want the leopard to attack. Mzio thought maybe he would feel better once he stay and the shade awhile. Yeah he would feel a lot better just like Mzio did. Mzio was glad that he didn't care that he was laying down but he felt bad that he was taking up most of the shade so he got up and sat on his bum. So the leopard name was Dysini'mbus it was nice and long. Mzio wasn't going to be rude so he spoke "Hello there Dysini'mbus, my name is Mzio."
His coat was starting to cool down in the shade, and he was grateful. After his coat cooled, then his skin could too and then maybe he would stop feeling like he was going to melt into the ground. Glancing over when the other male shifted, he tensed but it seemed that he was only sitting up. It meant they didn't have to sit so close, which was good, because body heat would do nothing to help their situation.
“Mzio,” he repeated, testing the name on his tongue. “Nice name.” The heat was fading, so his temper soon did. “Feel free to call me Dysi. My name is irritatingly long at times.” He rolled his eyes, his usual humour peaking out now he was calmer.
Mzio smiled. He knew the shade would make him feel better and it showen. Mzio smile knowing that he had just help out Dysi and he was happy that he did. Mzio was cool down to his skin and he was happy. He didn't have to worry about the heat anymore because the tree was luckily there for both of them. "Thanks! I forget what it means. My mother name me and I haven't seen her since I was a pup, so it's been a lon," she said with a smile. Mzio was a little more talktive then normal which was wried. "Oh thank you. It's nice when you have a long name to shorten. I wish I could shorten mine but it's already short enough," he said laughing. He laid he head back on the tree and smiled.
Dysi was midly amused at the talkative male. It seemed like he was trying to fill in the silence that Dysi had left with his irritation. A nice thought, but had he not been cooling down, he would have found it very annoying. Thankfully, he was calming, which meant he put up with the chatter. “My name means something like...Sunset Halo,” he admitted, crinkling his nose a little. It had been his sisters favourite meaning. It could also mean, Sunset Rain, but he had gotten used to the other meaning. He looked a little uncomfortable after realising what he had admitted to the other male. The name was not very masculine.
“You could still shorten your name,” he pointed out. “To Zi or or Io.”
Mzio smile and was gald that Dysi was now opening up and talking. It would have been werid for the Hyena to talk so much to fill up the silence. Mzio smile as Dysi told him the meaning of his name. "Sunset Halo? Huh. That a pretty meaning," he said. Mzio also thought it was kind of girly but he would never say that infront of him. He didn't Want Dysi to get mad at him. He just laugh a little bit and turn his head the other way. "Hmm that really short but I think I'll go with Zi. It seem pretty cool for a nick name," he said with a smile.
“Pretty,” he scoffed lightly. That basically summed it up. He had always loved his meaning but when he grew older and left his sisters, he was teased and taunted about it. It irritated him, so he hid the meaning from most people, but for some reason he had told Mzio about it. “It's extremely girly, that's what it is.” He shook his head in iriitation.
Peering at him, he nodded. “I'll call you Zi, then. See, now you have a nickname.” It was a strange conversation, just to make a nickname but it was filling the silence and giving Dysi more time in the shade.
Mzio sigh. He didn't mean to offend him he was just saying what he thought about it and the first thing that came to his mind was pretty. Mzio knew he mess up and said "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it was pretty and it's not that girly. The ladies might think it's cute that you have a senstive name," he said hoping that would make up for whaat he had just said.Mzio looked at Dysi and smiled. Mzio had to amitted that this was werid to talk about nicknames but he didn't mine. "Why thank you. I'm gald I have a nickname now," he said. Mzio look away and saw that the sun was setting and knew that he would have to leave soon to go get dinner before it got to late.
Dysi realised that Mzio had taken what he'd said the wrong way. “I wasn't angry at you,” he said, rolling his eyes slightly. “Just stating a fact. I know it's girly, I grew up with all girls. I'm use to it now.” He wasn't really, but he had accepted it. He snorted lightly at the idea of having a 'cute or senstivite name'. Girls may have liked it, but the boys would have beaten the hell out of him for it.
He also glanced at the sun setting and frowned. At least the sun would be gone soon and he could walk comfortably again and not have to wait in the shade.
“Congrats on your new nickname,” he said, rather blandly. Could you congratulate someone for a nickname?
Mzio sigh in relief. He was glad that Dysi wasn't mad at him."Oh good. I thought you were. Oh I wish I had siblings. I'm the only one,"he said putting his head down. Mzio never really did talk about his family life but when he did he didn't say much because it made him feel down. He couldn't remember them and he knew that he was the only one out of his littler. Mzio just wish he could talk to them once more, but for all Mizo knew they might be even dead. Mzio laughs Dysi congratulate him on his nick name. Could someone do that, well Mzio would have to guess yes since Dysi just did. "Well thank," he said with a little laugh.
It was getting even darker now and Mzio knew he had to leave. He got up and started to talk "Well I got to go. It was really nice metting you Dysi!" He bow and walk off to find something to eat.
Dysi was watching the fading sun as he spoke. “The only one? Must have been lonely. I had several sisters, and my mother growing up.” He had spent a lot of time around girls whne he was younger, so he grew up slightly more feminine then most males would have, though he hid it well around strangers. Dysi watched the other male stand up and stood up also. “Nice to meet you too, Zi, good hunting and travelling.” He said, watching the male disappear. He pondered finding his own meal, but he wasn't hungry, so instead of seeking out food, he simply turned and walked away. He would find somewhere to sleep, eventually. Otherwise, he was content to walk.
