Daria caught her breath at the beauty of the room. Elegantly furnished, there was a small circle of instruments set up in one corner that Daria assumed would have musicians occupying the empty seats once the Ballroom was opened to the rest of the guests. She had heard music in the entryway, they must be there for now. Sighing with the inability to resist herself, Daria walked to the center of the floor and pantomimed bowing to a dance partner. Returning ot her former pose, she could easily make a dance partner. Closing her eyes in concentraion, she drew moisture from outside the castle and brought it in, forming a dancer slightly taller than her right in front of where she stood. Opening her eyes, she was pleased with her handiwork. Bowing once more, she took the dancer's hand and glided about the room in a waltz to a tune in her head. Daria had always loved dancing, she'd taken all kinds of classes before her powers had surfaced. In fact, that was the reason her parents had let her go to the School, they thought it was some kind of Juliard. In fact, they'd even encouraged her to go, how ironic some things were!

In the center of the ballroom stood a girl, at least for a moment. She bowed to no one, and a most curious thing happen a moment later. Before Mishell's eyes, a collection of water - he assumed - began to congregate before the female. It shifted and formed until it depicted a dancer who looked down to her. Mishell, content to watch a beautiful dance, sidestepped out of the large entryway. He stood straight, watching the pair - one real and one not - in their circles around the dance floor. Although he was tempted to applaud, he refrained, as she might be offended by him watching.

The classical piece of music her mind had been playing ended, and Daria bowed once more to the figure of water. Listening carefully, she could still hear the nobles laughter coming from the entranceway, but nothing else. She was still safe from being 'discovered'. Considering the company here, Daria preferred not to think about what could happen if she were caught using her powers outside of the School. Many people were still afraid of those that possessed power they couldn't even begin to understand...of course, that was to be expected. Shaking off the feeling that she was being watched, more than likely thoughts brought on by the reasonings Daria'd just dismissed, she acquiesced to the longing for another song to dance to. Closing her eyes to better concentrate on the complicated steps of the dance, she began a livelier tune. The dance was played out in her mind, she could hear the music, see the others moving gracefully about the floor. Something she'd always wanted to do before, but only now having the chance. Daria always felt that she could think better when she was dancing, perhaps it was the sense of being alone on the floor with your partner, perhaps not...but still, there was a sense of calm about it that relaxed her. Daria wondered if deep down she had always known she was different. It had always seemed that way, she was never well-liked in school. Always an invisible...not that it bothered her. She disliked how popularity changed people with a vengeance. One final twirl, out, then in, and the dance was complete, Daria opened her eyes. That was when she saw him, standing by the entrance to the Ballroom. He was tall, she coud see in the dim light, his hair was blond and he wore a tastefully tailored white shirt and blue pants. Daria wondered how long he had been standing there? Why hadn't she heard him come in? " What are you doing here?" She demanded, hearing the panic in her voice rise even as she spoke. The water dancer behind her vanished, the water dissipating back into the air, leaving it humid for only a few brief seconds. It was, of course too late now, he must have already seen it, he would've had to be blind not to.

Ru'ni and Eva walked around the blonde human and into the great ball room. It was dead, only two people there and no music being played.. Neither of the elves could stand this so without a word they advanced to the small circle of instruments, chose two violins, and began to play an impressive duet. The song, an ancient melody, that once upon a time had words that were now lost in history, was slow and eerie at first then creeped up to a dramatic waltz tempo. A few words of power and the song repeated itself in the air without the aid of instruments. If there was one thing elves knew how to do, it was dance. Eva and Ru'ni spun out onto the smoothed wooden ball room floor and weaved about eachother magestically yet quickly at the same time. A small dose of elven magic and the two were in the air, dancing if the floor had risen up with them. Then it stopped, their dance ended mid-sweep, the two dropped to the floor softly and stalked into the shadows. Once again they had let music get the best of them.. and now their cause might just be lost.

Mishell tilted his head, smiling only slightly. "Are offended that I wouldn't speak up? I don't see why; I was only administering what I thought you'd like. After all, you seemed to be enjoying yourself..." Cahns strode confidently to and across the dance floor. The music from the two elves, who seemed to have ignited it in the very fabric of the air with their talented hands, and now upheld it without movement. Even before Mishell bowed, offering up his hand in a polite gesture. Before looking up to her and asking the obvious question, he looked at the floor, smiling. He then turned the smile upwards to the girl. "Don't you think a real, live human being might be better than a... Puppet who does only what you want?"

Daria frowned slightly, an almost confused twist. The man wasn't afraid, in fact, she seemed to be more afraid of him than he was of her. After his slight admonition, her panic seemed silly, even unjustified. She was startled by the music at first, but the tune was haunting... it begged her feet to dance. She saw a couple step on to the floor and dance, they moved wonderfully together, their steps in perfect rhythm to the melody. She accepted the man's hand, smiling in return. " Only if I know his name." She replied, her smile growing easily. The song that played was enchanting, and Daria knew she wouldn't be able to resist it's magical quality. "But if he danced well, I might be able to overlook the absence of a name." Unable to stand still against the music any longer, Daria took the man's hand and began the dance.

Issildia stepped casually into the ballroom. Already an assortment of nobles were gathered, some were dancing but many remained fixated on their conversation. Already Issildia was disgusted with the way that these mortals entertained themselves ,with shallow talk of their own pitiful accomplishments.
Though irritated by them Issildia soon began to ignore their constant talk, keeping her senses alert for any sign of her father and the Ryera brothers. At the moment they had decided not to reveal themselves but she could sense them, and they were close...watching her every movement from afar.
Issildia found a secluded spot at the edge of the room to bide her time in. She hoped that those in attendance would keep their distance...for their sake.

Ru'ni and Eva had split up when the left the ballroom, Eva to look for Reisnsen and Ru'ni to keep an eye on Issildia. Eva walked quietly through the mansion while Ru'ni slowly moved into the eastern corridor towards the ballroom. "Let us hope that this daughter of Reinsen isn't as strong as he is", the drow muttered to himself as he slipped into the ball room. ((ack horrid post sorry to early for me...))

~Eva had not gone far before she was confronted by a figure cloaked in the shadows, "He said the two of you would come, excellent" mused a chilling voice. At these words the figure stepped from the darkness. Luin Ryera the leader of the fabled clan of necromancers stood before Eva. His green eyes flickered over her, "I doubt that you have been briefed on the mission Eva, so I will apologize for being short in explanation..."
"You and your companion are to seal the complex in whatever fashion you see fit, but we want no one leaving any time soon...after you have completed this you will see to it that no one attempts to interrupt Lord Reinsen's plans. Again do this in whatever fashion you see fit..."
Luin's eyes darted to Eva's face, "If you complete these objectives my Lord well see to it that you are rewarded for your service."~
As the drow entered the ballroom Issildia's eyes darted to the side slightly, but other than that she made no move to alert him of her knowledge of noticing him. Issildia knew well enough that drow did not hail from this realm yet the nobles here did not question the creature. Perhaps they were more common that Issildia suspected. Still, she sensed that there was something odd about him, perhaps he had no connection with her father, but Issildia would not leave anything to chance...So she continued to keep up an appearance of obliviousness to the Drow's entrance.
