It's the preview of this year's series!

SQUEEEEEEEE!

Whoa, this looks so amazing. I completely take back everything I thought about him being crap. Should probably use spoiler tags to discuss it, am I right?

Daleks (again...), the weeping angels, vampires... it looks amazing. His catchphrase seems to be "Geronimo"....

Doesn't look anything like that was Doctor who. Honestly I wouldn't have been able to tell if it didn't show a Blue Police box. I would have thought it to be some sort of SuperNatural show gonk

It looks awesome, but i found it a bit hard to take him seriously when he was wearing a bow tie.

The new guy looks sorta weird...

Weeping angels! and they are going to bring the Daleks back!

Looks like the Doctor's going to be a lot more violent this time arround. More action-ey...though I liked the surprised look on his face when he punched the guy. and was he hitting that Dalik with a baseball bat?

I saw Vampires...I wonder what take they're gonna take on that this time?

SaphiraStar, you're a Browncoat too?? *glee followed by hugging* biggrin

New Doctor, new Tardis, Weeping Angels, Daleks and baseball bats, a girl coming up and kissing him, and he hit someone. Also looks like swordfighting-era stuff. What the heck?

*hugging Ceribri back*

every time i look at this I notice something new. last time it was the Tardis. I don't see why they feel the need to change it. I thought it was fine.

I don't like it.
It's so much unlike the Doctor Who that we know (and love).
I'm a huge fan of David, and the fact that he leaves is already crying .
But why change the entire show?

Wow.
I have never thought I would love and hate something at the same time.
On one hand, it has ideas that weren't even thought of before! Brilliant! But, it looks like 11's violent.
This might be like Series 1 of NuWho all over again! Or, it might be like the beginning of the 6th doctor.
I hope it's better than what I'm imagining.

Well, I think you guys who don't like it are just too stuck on David. I'm feeling very optimistic! A new Doctor has always brought fairly significant changes to the show. Each new actor and writer puts some of themselves into it, after all. I think it looks very cool and exciting! And if he's a bit like Six, I won't be complaining, that's for sure. biggrin

For some reason, I'm getting the aura of last year's Star Trek movie about it, as in it uses the same concepts, characters and planets (by name at least!), but there will be significant changes in the tone of the show.

I'm still reserving judgment until I've seen a complete episode. I can't tell very much at all from just a trailer - sure, I can see some glimpses of scenes, and what will be featuring, but the thing I care about most is whether Matt Smith can hold my attention for a full episode. Yes, the storyline will affect this, but it has to be a brilliant opening story for the show's sake, after this regeneration. I have a feeling there may be a drop in viewers purely due to Tennant leaving.

i am sorry but everything in series 5 is cool BUT the new doctor. he doesn't have that crazy attitude as david did. he is more like chistopher. i will give it a chance but i fear it is the end for doctor who. i hope i am wrong but he looks too much like david ( younger david) so he will be always in his shadow being compared to david.
lose the bow tie. it doesn't work and it fails at making him look smarter.
his head is too big also. well that is my 2 cents.

I am not going to judge Matt Smith until I at least have seen a full episode of him in action, I mean, I remember when David Tennant became the Doctor, and most people were predicting doom and gloom for him, and yet look at him now, he's the most popular Doctor!
