Love's a beautiful and amazing thing. Although, I quite disagree with the quote, "Tis better to have loved and lost that to have never loved at all." Personally, loving someone, truly loving them, and losing them, in ANY way can f*** a person up REALLY bad. I think it would be better if those people were blissfully ignorant of that kind of pain. After all, they'd still be able to find happiness even without that, right? Right. However, they'd still be spared that pain.....Though I do have to say, as someone who has loved and lost, once you've had that kind of like FIRST true love, even after you go through the pain of losing it, were you ever given the chance to have those memories taken away, you wouldn't....I know I could never give mine up. ^_^ They just mean that much. Haha.

Haha. It's really a double edged sword. On one hand, we would rather have not gone through the pain, on the other, we wonder if we would ever truly feel complete without those feelings. I've been there before. I dearly loved two people in my life before the one I'm with now. One was someone in high school and the other was not too long before I met the love of my life.
I graduated, leaving the other behind, and he hated my stinking guts anyway. And it hurt me for almost 4 years. The second was a friend, but I couldnt' be with him becuase he was engaged. And then what's even worse, he led me on to think he felt the same way. he even full on kissed me.
Then I found out that he was only doing it because he felt sorry for me and that pissed me off.
However, it only took me a little while to get over it considering I had closure with that one, not to mention realizing how much life was so much better without that person.
And then I ran into a friend of mine who I hadn't seen in a while, and I had always found him attractive, so I figured, " eh, i'll go for it."
And now I'm head over heals and I can't imagine my life with anyone else.
yes, love hurts, but sometimes you just gotta stay strong, learn from that experience and never lose faith. And sometimes love shows up unexpectedly and in the place you least expect it.

That's very true, too XD I had just woken up and was like "Ehhhh I need to rant...to the Guild!" Haha Anyways In my situation, know if I had a choice between knowing the love AND pain, or having all of that stripped away and not knowing either, I'd take the former, the love and pain. Personally, my experience was good enough that I wouldn't give up the love to give up the pain, too. x.x For me, the pain's worth it. XD

Heh, I understand the ranting. Sometimes the pain of love can really hurt to the point that you wish you were numb.
Like I said, it's one of those things that you can't live with and you can't live without.
