Augustus was looking for his brother, but it wasn't going well. Probably off looking for some more tail when they were supposed to be looking for leads on where to find their pride. Anyone would be good, at this point, since the birds last lead had gone a little astray when they had gotten lost.
"In the name of the Gods..." Augustus muttered under his breath. He couldn't believe how easily Caius was distracted. It hadn't been that way once... once things had been different. Easier. Their goals had been clear.
Now finding their home seemed less and less possible... even if there were survivors, and there had to be survivors... somewhere out there. His sisters, his mother, someone.

Konata, or Kona as she called herself, had been searching all day, her little paws ached from all the walking she had been doing, it was unbarable, why hadn't she been able to find Hetal? Kona had been searching for so long, and she had even gottent he help from another creature out in the savanah, a lion.
Kona slipped down a hill towards the waters edge, a stream that was flowing through the mountains terrain that she was currently exploring. She dipped her head down and lapped up the cool water.
Demo:
Augustus spotted, on the horizen, a small figure in a pool of water. A several, no better than a slave really, but of no real concern to him. He needed a drink of water anyway, so he figured he might as well take a drink. Normally this sort of thing would be of no concern... but severals were smart. They were quick. They knew things. He could strike up a conversation...
Maybe it knew something about his home and what had become of it. That was all that really mattered now. Finding home.
So he approached and lowered his head, drinking the water before his eyes glanced up towards the girl drinking at the water.

Kona frooze when the sent of the impending leopard caught her nose. She knew with out turning that he was close enough to her that she wouldn't be able to out run him and hide, the wind wasn't that strong so the fact his sent was already there was an indication of how close he was.
She turned ever so slightly knowing the look in his eyes would tell her all she needed to know. Was he looking for just a drink of water, or was he thinking of an evening snack. Her silver fur glitened in the sun as she studied the leopard that stood infront of her.

Augustus took his drink, letting the several observe him and get comfortable. He wouldn't eat her. Not unless, of course, she said something that he really didn't want to hear. That was not something that he'd like to happen... but violence had always been a foundational part of his family legacy.
"I'm looking for something." He said, cutting straight to the chase, "Forgive my intrusion. But I was wondering if perhaps you had seen it... and I could perhaps help you, if you were to help me. Don't you think?"
One had to be firm in these business dealings. The simple threat of violence was most certainly not very effective. Much better to form it like a deal. That way, both parties got something out of it.
Of course, that failing, violence worked.

Kona sat feeling more relaxed this leopard was clearly not a dangerous one he mst have a level head on his shoulders. "What have you been looking for my dear?" Kona asked the leopard, her motherly voice and deemener coming out.
She had a hope inight in her, though so far that hope had done very little for her. But perhaps if he had been looking for a long time, he had seen that white cheetah of hers. Her head was rushing with all these thoughts as she waited for the leopard to tell her what he needed.

"I've been traveling for several months." Augustus said bluntly, "And I'm searching for my pride. It was destroyed in the earthquake, and I was trapped. By the time I escaped, my family was gone. I'm trying to find them. They're called the Binadamu. One I'm seeking in particular is an elderly leopardess... purple, stripped... she is my mother." He said bluntly.
He had to be as clear as possible. If she knew what he was looking for, she would be more helpful, and that didn't call for vaugeness. It would also encourage her to be more grateful, and clear, when she asked for information for him.
nessiaing:
Kona sat thinking for a minute thinking, it was hard she had seen so many pirdes and packs in the years she had travelled but one was sticking out in her mind, a pride that she felt that she had seen. "I can not be sure as I never saw the elderly leopardess you speak of but that pride it rings a bell I believe I have been towards its outskirts before."
Kona's mind flashed back to the time she passed by that pride, "It is in the north near the top of the savanah. They seem to be doing well, the pirde appeared to be well populated now, perhaps they are slowly coming together there." Kona felt bad that she didnt have more information for him, in truth she had been too afraid to get close they seemed some what closed off and opinionated.
Demo:
Augustus listened, not overly-enthusiastic, but then, he never was. He was used to things turning out to be too good to be true, but this was a good lead, and the several seemed to be well-traveled. Good. Now he had a direction. North. North was still the way to go.
"Thank you... that sounds about right." He said, a grin twitching at the corner of his mouth, "Is there anything you're seeking of which I could be of assistance with?" He asked, doubting he would be helpful, he had always been very single-minded, but one must reward the masses to keep allies. He took his mother's lessons very seriously.
nessiaing:
"There is, I myself have been searching a great deal for someone from my old pride. I lossed my companion, my charge." a fond smile moved across Kona's face when her thoughts came to that of Hetal, Hetal had been Kona's purpose in life when she was a young serval, she had been raised to care for that cheetah.
"She is a cheetah, she would be full grown now, I haven't seen her since she was a cub, but she was white, with purple and blue toes, and various other purple and blue markings." she was angry with herself that she couldn't recall more about her cerished Hetal, she felt that she was failing her.
Demo:
Augustus thought for a moment, but then shook his head, "No, I'm afraid not. I don't regularily interact with cheetahs." Since they were an inferior species, as far as he was concerned. What was the point of speaking with no-ones? No better than slaves.
"I do wish you luck, and I hope you find her." Augustus said, truly wishing her luck... well, insofar as, if her information turned out to be right, he hoped it would be, but if not... well, his opinion would be that of malice instead. He was a very straightforward fellow in that sense. You were either useful, or useless. If you were the first, then he would keep you around.
If you were the last, then he had no feeling one way or the other, and wouldn't stop from stepping on you if you were dying in the street.
nessiaing:
Kona managed a smile, yet again her hope was lost, she had never found someone who knew anything about her beloved cheetah. "That is ok dear, it woulod seem no one knows anything about her, perhaps she isn't even out there to find, but I will have to keep looking, there isnt much else I could do with myself."
She gave the leopard a quick smile, she had never even knew his name but it wasn't important, she had got her drink and rested enough that her little paws didn't ache quite as much it was time to start the search again. She rose and gave him a quick nod before she turned and headed back towards the mountains, somewhere out in this wide world was her cheetah she just knew it.
Demo:
Augustus watched her leave, and then shrugged his shoulders. He didn't care much, but now he had a track to go on. Of course, he had to find his useless brother first, but that meant that he had a good reason to drag his a** back towards home.
"Best of luck." And with that, he was on his way.
