The most haunted building in all of Britain... or so it's said.

Kasen found himself staring up at the empty building with a strange glint in his eyes. He was thinking of things he hadn't thought of in a very long time and, as he stared up at the rotting wood and cracked paint of the house, he realized the sort of potential he really had this year.

Jessica called out to her friends that she'd see them later as they headed into one of the stores. She had decided to take a small stroll away from everyone else, their constant yelling giving her a small headache. She let her feet take her wherever they pleased, ending up at the old creaky house she'd heard so many tales about. She found she was not alone though, walking over to her favorite professor, standing slightly behind him and to the left. "I would ask if you're enjoying the view, but it isn't much to look at, now, is it?"

Kasen just chuckled, "I disagree, Miss Hallows, there is a lot to look at here. And a lot to contemplate as well." he turned his ice colored eyes towards her, a twinkle behind them, "How are you today?"

Jessica walked up next to him "I'm doing well, Professor. Just decided to get away from all the noise and excitement." Glancing up at him with a small knowing look, she continued. "Though it would appear that is not your reason for being here."

He chuckled and shrugged his shoulders, "With the amount of power I hold right now, it's always necessary to get away from it all for a little bit and look at the things other people have to face." He gestured towards the shack and shook his head, "Where Hogwarts used to keep their werewolf students." he clicked his tongue, "That's just awful."

She crossed her arms over her chest, turning to look the poor building that looked like it could collapse at any moment. "I disagree. It was a way to ensure that no one would find out his secret, and would protect him as well as the other students from harm. Sometimes you need to do things you don't want to in order to keep things you don't want people to know safe." She smirked. "Things like our true identities. Who we really are."

"There are other options though. For example, there are areas in the dungeon that would keep a werewolf locked away, safe, and would keep everyone else safe as well. And, though I don't know about you, Miss Hallows, I am for werewolf equality. I find that if werewolves were accepted, we would have less issues with the severity of injuries caused by them."

He paused as the wind whipped around them, blowing small snow flurries across their vision of the building, "And soon enough, everyone finds out who our true selves are."

She brushed a stray hair out of her face. "Acceptance has nothing to do with it. Unless given the special potion on the night they turn, no matter how close to a person a werewolf is, they will still attack those they love. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against them, but there's some things that I think just arn't possible. Plus, I don't know about you, but I would rather be kept inside of a house then be confined down in the dungeons in some dreary cell. Not to mention we all know how stupid first years are. I'd hate to think of what would happen if we had another 'fluffy incident' to deal with."

As for our identities, the only problem with that is that you never know how they'll react to the real you. The could accept it, turn their backs on you, or they could run around like a chicken with it's head cut off... though I personally can't wait for a certain person I know to come out of the closet. That will prove to be quite amusing."

Kasen just smirked, "Yes, well, it's a little known fact that werewolves become more sane with each new wolf added to the area around them. Even without the wolfsbane potion on the night of the full moon, if three or four werewolves were to be together, the only thing there would be to worry about would be the fight for the alpha position."

He turned towards her finally, the smirk still on his lips, "And as for that person you know, would you think that person should come out or stay in hiding? What would be the best for them?"

She looked up at the falling snow in thought. "Hmmm.... honestly I think the person should be patient and bide their time, planning out every course of action before they strike. If everyone knew who they really were, plans could get complicated. A small trusted group of allies is fine, but as for the world," she glanced over in his direction, mirroring the look on his face, "well... look what happened last time." She sighed. "Tsk tsk. Such a shame."

The Headmaster chuckled and shook his head, "Well, in the last case, he didn't exactly have his head screwed on straight. Poor man. Met my mother though, didn't he?" Kasen winked at Jessica and started heading back towards the castle, "Did Gale ever speak with you?"

She followed along right beside him, stuffing her hands in her coat pockets in an effort to try and warm them up a bit. "Yes, he did mention that you wished to speak to me and that it was very important..... I'm not in trouble, am I? Because it was that damn Gryffindors own fault that he slipped on that random and unexplained sheet of ice at the end of the hallway and fell down the entire length of the staircases, only to end up being miraculously turned into a purple clabbert and be sent sailing out the window and into the lake, being almost mauled to death by the grindylows."

She sighed exasperatedly. "Honestly, the nerve of some people. To think that someone would play that severe of a prank on another student just because he decided that he was gonna make some snide remarks about what he was gonna do to someone and where he was gonna put things and then attempted to grab some very off limit items on said person." '...Now that I think about it, I may have been to nice actually...'

Professor Kurama laughed at that, "Are you sure you aren't supposed to be a Slytherin?" he winked at her as he started heading back to the castle, "And no, nothing like that, I want you to come to my office later. There's someone I want you to meet and we have some things to discuss."

She knew better than to ask for details in the open. "Alright, that's perfectly fine by me. When should I drop by? Once everyone's starting to settle down into their beds or do you want to see me earlier than that?"
