Planet Name: Kessel System Name: Kessa Sector: Kessel Region: Outer Rim Terrain: Desert, cities Zones: Kessel Shipyard, Maximium Security Prison, Sith Army Base
Kessel the first planet of the system it was named after is, if not for anything else known for its potato like shape. This planet is no more than a large moon and has become one of the most important planets in the galaxy's smuggling circles. The main reason being Kessel is the only source of the telepathy-inducing glitterstim spice in known space.
Having no atmosphere of its own large atmosphere producing factories where constructed all over the planets surface. While the planet still remains too small to hold the atmosphere that is created by these factories the atmosphere they do create allows one to traverse the surface needing only oxygen masks. Due to the inability of Kessel to hold an atmosphere the factories are constantly in operation in order to equal the constant loss of atmosphere. This constant atmosphere loss has made for another unique aspect of Kessel; as the planet travels through space it leaves behind a visible white trail of oxygen from its artificial atmosphere causing many to mistake the planet with a comet.
Spice can be used for a variety of products but is largest and most lucrative use is to induce temporary telepathy upon its subject. When Spice was first discovered the Spice mines where run by the less reputable elements of the galaxy. The Empire upon examining the wealth that this product provided to those elements took over full control of the spice mining operations in Kessel and sealed of the system with military forces. Requiring a large pool of manpower to operate the deadly mines on Kessel the Empire created a prison on the planets surface to meet the increasing manpower demands of the mine. This prison was to house both political enemies of the Empire as well as other criminals many where given long-term sentences to prevent them from ever leaving the mines with stories of its horrors. Incarceration at the Kessel prison was soon to be a dreaded sentence for any unfortunate persons who found themselves before the courts of the Empire. To be sentenced to Kessel no matter the length of period was most likely a death sentence for any species.
Kessel being no more than a moon has no molten core and no atmosphere and thus generates no heat, being in the deep mines of Kessel is near to being in space itself and is just as cold. Constant cave-ins faulty breathing masks and heating gear meant that many prisoners suffered the unfortunate death of either breathing vacuum of space or suffering its environment. On top of these problems, any direct light activates the spice and as such the miners have to work in complete darkness as they traverse the dangerous mines. To make an already dangerous occupation more deadly the origins of the spice on Kessel where regrettably discovered by an unfortunate miner. The spice is created by a voracious species of energy spider native to Kessel who use the spice strands as a web to catch prey. A miner could wonder into one of these webs and find themselves impaled by one of these spiders and be completely drained of energy in mere moments.

The lone Miytil came soflty through Kessel's thin atmosphere. Here on this all but deserted planet, Erik would hope to be able to "cleanse" himself of his darkness. It was all about stopping one from feeding of their emotions.
Erik opened the cockpit and stepped out on the planets surface. If it was not for it re-breather, Erik would be as dead as the rock he sat himself on. Using the force, Erik opened the Astromech compartment and let H5 get back to working on the engines.

Erik was alone. There was not another living soul around for miles. And this was just how he wanted it. Here, alone, Erik would be able to focus on himself and become everything he was not. And for Erik, there could be nothing harder.
Closing his eyes, Erik was trapping himself with in his own body. The place were his emotions ran wild and do what they pleased. All Erik had ever known and trusted in was his emotions, they were always there. Yet to comply with his Master's wishes, Erik would have to destroy that which embodied everything believed in. He would have to become an empty shell.
It was even harder for Erik to contain his mind with in his body. He was so used to just allowing his mind to wander around the galaxy when meditating, that half the battle was just to stop himself from doing just that. The struggle within Erik's mind was relentless and was showing no signs of letting up.

Erik slowly opened his eyes. He had fallen asleep on the surface of the dust bowl planet. The thin atmosphere did not effect him coming to the real plan of being.
Something felt different.
Something felt unusual.
Something felt quiet.
Erik slowly sat up ans looked around. Nothing had changed around him. The change must have been internal.

Erik let out a long and drawn out yawn. He rubbed his eyes and tried to focus on his master's presence. Maybe just feeling the Master's presence would be enough to make things right agin.
Erik reached out and searched. It was a lot harder to do then normal. And no matter where Erik looked around the universe, he could not find a trace of the Master. It was almost as if he had just vanished into the thin air. Where ever he was, Erik would find him later.
Yet, there was no time for aimlessly and idlely sitting around. The Master had given me a direct order. To become a Jedi and get the tainted saber. Yet traveling to Corellia right away might be dangerous. He was going to have to find a Jedi to convince somewhere in the outer rim.
Erik opened the droid hatch and H5 hopped in. Latching it up tightly, Erik hopped in to the cockpit. He brought up the maps of the outer rim. All he had to do was just find the right planet.
Yet, something still did not feel right. It was almost as if Erik was one with himself. One with the force.

As the planets flicked by, one stuck out like a sore thumb. Falleen. There was something about that planet that just screamed visit me. Erik did not know whether it was the beautiful Falleen females or the presence of his master. But that was were he would go.
Erik relayed the coodinates to H5 and the Mirtyl took off. It broke free of the planets atmosphere and entered Hyperspace.

The Razor dropped out of hyperspace around Kessel and Angius knew it. The sudden increase of the force around him always alerted him to his arrival.
"Arrival at destination in 20 minutes"
"Good, any sign of light freighter in the general area?"
"Sensors indicate possible match inbound from hyperspace webway. Orders?"
"Await it's arrival. We will escort it to the destination."
"Acknowledged HQ."
Angius leaned backwards into his chair and just waited.

As Geren's ship came down through the atmosphere he guided it to the strong Force presence that he knew to be Angius. He unstrapped himself from the seat he was in and opened the hatch to get out.He waited for Angius to give directions or tell him about what they were doing.

The Razor landed softly, just outside their destination. This base did not look like it had any connection to the darkside, but the memories and experiences held within were evident to its history. The hatch opened and Angius jumped elegantly out. He spied Geren doing a similar thing.
"Come, the Kessel shipyards are about a days journey from here. We will find a speeder within."
With a flick of his wrist, two things happened. The Razor closed it's hatch and lifted off the ground, before it disappeared from sight completely. The second was that the base doors opened wide.
"We will rest for about an hour before takng off."
Turning from Geren, Angius boldly walked inside.

Geren followed, getting a feel for this planet. "Master, what was the greater evil you spoke of earlier in the fight with those Jedi?" This was the first time that Geren had caused Angius 'Master' but he didn't hesitate. In Geren's eyes Angius was the only way that Geren could advance in the teachings of the Force and the Sith.

It had been awhile since Angius had been on Kessel or in this base. From memory, there was a vehcile bay not too far away, but he would worry about that in an hour. For now, just finding somwhere to get food was enough.
"There is two groups out there, one the Jedi have fought with. The second they have not. Either way, these two groups are striving for the same thing. I am sure one of them is going to come out on top."
Angius continued to walk straight through the base, until he found a sign. It indicated that the catina was still that way.

Geren had never heard of this group before. It confused him how this group could go without being noticed by the jedi or almost anyone else for that matter for even just a little while. "Where did they come from?" Geren wondered if they had came from out in the wild space or maybe just on the outer reaches of the space that he knew of.

Angius stopped outside a door, which had the words Cantina above the door. Just the place he was looking for. Pushing through the doors, it was just as he left it- a mess. It had been a few years since he was last in the base and no one had been here since.
"Ah, young one, that is a question that requires a bit more direction."

"What is this place?" Geren understood that it was a cantina but he couldn't figure out what happened. The thing that was clear was that Angius had been here before. The way he was directing with such certainty told Geren that.

Angius carefully made his way from the door to the only two intact bar stools. Taking a seat, a battered old droid placed to drinks down in from of him. He slid one of the two to be in front of the seat where Geren was going to sit.
"I have been here before and it was in a similar state then. From what I have been able to gather from the sercurity units, the occupants of this base went insane and ripped it up. Then the scavengers hit and what is left is here because it is either too heavy or not of high enough value. Like this droid here."
Reaching down, Angius lifted his drink and took a sip. Slowly, he placed it back on the table.
"Now, back to our original discussion."
