Let me set the stage: I work at a daycare and my classroom is full of elementary kids, grades kindergarten through 5th. Let us begin.

I'm cleaning up and rearranging things. There are a couple of boys building a fort and every so once and while they'll "shoot" people who pass by. I walk over there, already annoyed that they messed up the room, and say "Dude, guys, we don't play pretend guns or pretend to kill anyone." That's where it started.

"Hey guys, quit pretending to kill people, it's not cool. Let's keep the peace."
"We're just trying to kill all the dirty Germans." Shocked at this I all could say is "What?!"
"We're pretending to play war."
"Well war never solved anything, give me the play guns you made."
"But we were going to get the dirty Asians next."
"You know putting "dirty" in front a nationality isn't helping you. You could very easily offend someone by saying that. I do not want to here anymore. Where do you think your DS was made? Yeah, that's right."

Then I knocked down their fort and took their DSs away.
Crazy kids, I guess I was just surprised because they were both 7.

It's the egotistical morons like that who make the rest of us look bad.
