A feather brushing across the ground, a locust fluttering along... None of it was missed by the cub, as she watched the world around her. The feather bore particular interest, since it was a vulture feather. Crouching down, she snuck after it, ears back and a devious grin on her face. Oh, she would get that vulture, and make it pay for having ever enslaved her family's pride and taken their land!

Laying in the shadows of the temples, the newly appointed nanny sat with her eyes closed and a pleased smile on her maw. It was one of those moments she was allowed to relax alone, not that she enjoyed being alone, she much preferred to have lots of youngsters running around her heels and playing games and telling her of their great, though imaginary, adventures.
Letting out a soft sigh she opens her dusty pink eyes and looks up at the sound of small paws moving across the sands. "What are you doing my dove?" She whispers, her voice soft and playful, a smile spreading across her maw as she watched the cub.

"Stalking a vulture." A puff of wind blew the feather across the ground. Ramla gave chase, soon pouncing on it. She let out a mock-wicked laugh before pulling at it with her paws. In her imagination, she was really tearing a full-grown vulture. In reality, she didn't extend her claws. She would dirty them up if she did, and she wanted to save them for REAL enemies!
Syr
Mziwaziwa smiled a very serious smile "Oh yes, I can see that, it seems you have already killed it though so you won't need my help taking it down hmm?" She gets to her paw and moves closer to the young Ramla "Do your parents know you are out? It can be very dangerous on the sands, even for an experienced vulture killer such as yourself."
Drani
Sitting down and letting the feather blow off into the wind, Ramla looked up at the nanny. "They said as long as I stay near the temples, I can wander around." She wasn't stupid enough to go out into the absolute open while she was still small. That would be just ASKING for trouble! "One day, I'm gonna take down a REAL vulture and present it to the king!"
Syr
The peach and khaki lioness smiles a gentle, warm smile and nods very seriously "Oh I can imagine, a big strong girl like you, training hard to take down the vulture menace." She smiles a soft smile and lays down before the cubs. "You're clearly a very clever girl, who are your parents ?" she asks flickering her tail and laughing "I suppose I should really ask who you are first hmm? I'm Mziwaziwa."
Drani
Puffing her chest up with pride, the cub grinned. "I'm Ramla! One of my daddies is Ilori, the other is Sepoko!" She stood up, grinning wider. "I wanna be a warrior when I grow up!" She then looked up at Mziwa. "So why are YOU here...? I know you weren't here when I was born..."
Syr
Mziwaziwa smiles softly "Oh, I know Ilori, he is a friend of mine." She purrs, unsure if she should tell the cub of their plans. Well maybe one day when it was certain. "I came here from a far land to find a life I wanted to live. The sands were kind enough to let me stay and now I am a nanny here." She chuckles softly "I can see you have warrior blood in you little one i am sure you will be most fearsome warrioress.
Drani
"You do? Do you know EVERYBODY?" Ramla wanted to know everybody in the pride! Or at least try to. "I never wanna leave these lands! I love them, and my family's here..." She couldn't imagine ever leaving her family. But then, didn't everybody have different reasons for doing things? She opted to not ask why the older lion would leave her home lands in the first place. Daddy Sepoko'd left his home lands, but he did it to be with Daddy Ilori.
Syr
"On no, I don't know everybody my dear, I know a lot of people though, I'm sure one day I will know everyone." She smiles softly her soft pink eyes looking over the little lioness. "I'm sure a lot of people come here from other lands, this is a wonderful place to live, I came here and now I couldn't be happier." She chuckles quietly "Would you like to come up in to the temple with me?" she whispers, looking up towards the temple.
Drani
"Of course!" Ramla stretched, then hurried up to the temple. From the shadows, she looked back at Mziwa, ears up and an expression of joy on her face. It was the pure, untainted joy only a cub could posess.
Syr
Ziwa laughs happily and chases after the cub "The last one to the nursery is a stinky vulture!" She clips playfully running up the steps behind the little cub, she would let her win obviously, but it was fun to pretend it was a real race.
Drani
Ramla gasped, running to make sure she stayed in the front. There was NO WAY she would be a stinky vulture! Skidding just a bit on the stones, she rounded a corner, intent on winning.
Syr
Mziwaziwa chuckles and chases after the young lioness, in high spirits as usual, her tail flailing in the air as she skidded after the youngster. She was glad to have found another acquaintance, even a very young one and one she would, in a way, soon be related to. What a fun family she was joining.
