Hydro laid there on the ground just staring up at the sky feeling like things for her may be looking up. She had no family, but she was slowly getting use to be around others again. "I think talking is just stupid though. It gets boring and old." She said to herself trying to feel less like she was alone out there in the open for anyone to just come and hurt her. She snorted and rose her head up looking around with a slight angry look before punching her hoof into the ground out of annoyance. "Ugh why do I have to be the one that is left alone? Why couldn't my sister have survived at least? Why must it only be me?" She snorted once more and looked up at the sky giving and angry grunt before laying back down fully. "Hmph you play very unfairly..." She spoke out in a bitter tone of voice towards the creator she use to believe in so much, but her faith died with her family.
Shutting her eyes, she tried to calm herself down and think of a better place. Maybe it would help calm her nerves or maybe it would just set her off again, but no matter what any approacher had to choose their words wisely if they wanted to speak with her.

Another evening spent alone, one more evening to tack onto the long line of evenings like this one. An evening filled with hunting, feeding and wondering - both physically and mentally. Deep in thought as his dark hooves took him to wherever they pleased. His mind didn't really having any say in where his hooves took their owner, since his mind was occupied. Lost in thoughts, memories really. How he longed for the nights of so long ago, nights spent hunting with Lestat and with Claudia. He did miss them both, and couldn't say which of the two he missed more...though he suspected it would be that evil fiend who had made him what he was, at least in part. Lestat had not made him a horse nor dumped him here that he knew, as not even Lestat had such abilities...dark gift or not.
What pulled him away from such melancholy thoughts was a presence. It wasn't another like himself, and nothing dangerous that he knew. No, it was another soquili but not one that was dangerous, as he'd heard of skin walkers and kalona though he'd never met one of either species.
What he soon saw was a unicorn, like himself, but different in coloring and this one was female. It wasn't like he entertained, or ever planned on entertaining, romantic thoughts. It simply wasn't in his nature, at least not at present and not since he arrived here on four hooves.
Polite as ever Louis approached, as always his foot falls, or now hoof falls, heard upon the ground. "Good evening." A slight accent to his words but otherwise quite clear and soft in nature. ((On a note I have seen a cosplay rp of soquili where they had been human and dropped into this world changed somehow. So I went with that idea for Louis. Just to explain. Don't know if it's normal or what but I have seen it. ::Nods:: So just copying an idea I saw. ))

Hydro was off in her own world thinking of her past like she usually did and wishing things were different for herself. She was use to her life now, but it still bothered her greatly. Turning her head slowly at the sound of a voice, she cocked her eyebrow up some at the sight of a clothed horse. She thought it was a little odd that he was dressed instead of bare, but she was sure there was an explanation for such weird appearances. "Good evening." She said simply in a rather low voice slightly wishing in a way that she didn't get bothered by everyone right and left in this place.
"Is there a reason for your odd appearance sir? You wear clothes as if you were a two legger." She asked him right off the bat with her curiousity getting to her more and more. Glancing over to him briefly she noticed something poking out of his mouth and glistening a little in the moon light making her get all tense. "Also...are they fangs you bear in your mouth?" She asked narrowing her eyes slightly on the male since she wasn't one for getting attacked by some random stanger. "But I have to say your appearance is quite charming even if I never seen something like it before. I enjoy the weird or not ordinary." She told him with a dead stare and no emotion in her voice, which was sad for someone that looked like her.
(( That is fine. ^^ I don't mind and it makes it more interesting anyway. <3 ))

He had honestly never put much thought into his clothing, mind you he knew it was odd and he had wondered why these cloths but that had lasted only the first day or two. He had never once thought to remove them, and right now with winter upon them they kept him nice and warm, or warmer.
Having heard the question, how could he not? Louis thought for a moment, should he explain things truthfully? Or should he simply say that he liked the clothing and it was warmth giving? Neither would be a lie but one would be easier to explain. When had he ever thought settled for the simple road? Never, that was when. He never took the easy road, something he couldn't stop himself from doing even though he did dislike many things which occurred because he took the hard path.
"I was once a two legger but somehow I ended up here, and in this form." He said lifting his right front hoof and turning it over so he was looking at the bottom of it. "The clothing is from when I was a two legger." Though he had worn quite a few things between this clothing and when he'd arrived here.
For the first time since he'd arrived here his mind went to his clothing, to why he was clothed and why these cloths. It was odd that he'd arrived in this outfit, something he had not worn in quite some time, not since the time in New Orleans. It was her second question which took him from his thoughts, and wonderings.
"Yes, they are fangs." Louis answered wondering how it was, or rather why it was, that this mare liked the weird and ordinary. Many seemed to like what was normal or familiar to them, and he was sure he was neither to her.
"May I inquire as to your name? Since you know a few things about me." He asked, as politely as possible. There were very few times when he was not polite or even of temper.

Hydro listened to him and thought carefully on his words before examining his clothes seeing the resemblances in something a two legger would wear. "Hmm yes I can tell, but that is alright. I don't mind it all that much like I said. It's different then the ordinary stuff we see all the time." She listened to him more shaking her mane and snorting a bit from the cold. "Hmmm that is very interesting though. Once a two legger and now a horse. I never thought it was possible." She flicked her tail and shrugged some before digging her hoof into the ground a bit. "I haven't met one with fangs yet. Do they retract or stay out in the open like that?" She asked him curiously before biting a part of her back. "My name is Hydro. I was named after the water that runs in the artic when some of it melts. What is yours?" She asked him and smiled slightly before nodding her head some. "You have a horn like me. Are you a unicorn?" She asked him and knew some races were mixed out in the world so she didn't know if he was.

Listening to the female speak Louis didn't speak, he wouldn't be so impolite as to interrupt her. "They do not retract, they once did when I was a two legger." the dark haired soquili answered. Once they were fairly easy to hide, now they were odd, due to them resting against the outside of his mouth as they did. He was sure it also looked somewhat odd, he hadn't liked it at first but now was used to this.
"I am a unicorn, though I suppose also a vampire which as far as I know is not a race of soquili." Unless there was such a race, other wise he was a unicorn who just happened to feed on the blood of small animals. "My name is Louis de Pointe du Lac." He said formally as he bowed his head to the female unicorn, polite and proper as always.
"Your name is fitting for you, do tell me about yourself and why it is you are out here all alone this evening?"

Hydro listened to him speak about his fangs still finding them fascinating even if he did not. "Oh well I still find it to be very exciting. I know your probably use to them and find them boring or something, but they appeal to me greatly. I guess since it's something that is new to my eyes." She nodded and raised her brow a bit at the word vampire. It was another new thing to her, but she was a bit more at east when he mentioned he was a unicorn.
"Well I'm happy to hear it. Your the first unicorn that I have met and I hope you won't be the last." She said to him before thinking on the term vampire to try to remember if she heard it anywhere else before. "Vampire? I'm sorry, but I never heard of anything like that before. Perhaps could you enlighten me?" She asked of him and didn't really want to force anything out of anyone because she wouldn't want that from herself. "It's nice to meet you Louis." She watched him bow and smiled slightly loving the education she was recieving.
"Thank you. Not much to tell really. I'm new to these parts. I used to live in the arctic where it was cold, but recently found these lands. I have been alone my whole life as well. Family perished in a heavy blizzard when I was young. So I haven't had many friends in my lifetime let alone someone to talk to." She told him and sighed some. "I'm out alone because I don't really know where I can go or stay. I saw some caves in the woods, but I don't know if I really want to stay inside. Plus this place looks rather interesting and I haven't explored everywhere yet." She nodded firmly before smiling a small almost non-existent one. "How about yourself?" She asked.

Indeed he was used to them. His fangs weren't boring per-say he just found them normal, like a leg or his tail. They garnered no special attention, or lack of. Tail swaying behind him, dark brown hairs flicking to and fro, he was thinking on her words though more importantly her question.
Listening to her story he nodded his head once, or twice perhaps, a small smile gracing his features. "I see, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my family as well...my human one. I do not posses a family now." At least not the sort that was considered normal, and they were not here as far as he knew. "Caves are safe, or they should be, temperature wise they stay around the same temperature which is tolerable." Louis said thoughtfully as he glanced toward the woods, thinking about the caves there she had just been speaking about. Turning his gaze back to his fellow unicorn then he scuffed a hoof against the ground.
Should he explain what a vampire was, and if so then how? "A vampire, as a human turned into one, is someone who has...died but yet moves and talks...but they do not live like a human." He said slowly thinking over his words. It was something he had not believed in, until he'd become one. "One must turn another into one, one simply cannot become one or wish themselves one. We do not eat, not normal food, we feed on the blood of others." He spoke thinking, his eyes darting back and forth as he did so. His tail gave a sudden flicker.
"My sire, the one who made me a vampire, was a man named Lestat. I do miss him and yet I do not wish for his presence. The peace of him not being here is somewhat soothing. Yet I feel immense guilt over past incidents with him, and for being glad he is not here." He was confused when it came to Lestat, he contradicted himself. "I do not know what I feel for him, I feel one thing and yet it's opposite."

Hydro listened to him and perked her ears to show that she was listening as attentively as she could. “It’s alright. I am slowing moving on from the past. It just takes time. I’m sorry to hear of your loss as well. At least you have a second chance now to remake a family connection or build a new one.” She nodded to him before crunching her hooves into the dirt under her hooves before yawning a little bit. “Oh then maybe I should check out some caves around here. Might not be a bad choice to live in one if they are at least tolerable.” She nodded firmly before thinking hard about any caves she has passed since she had been here. She needed somewhere to stay even if it’s for a little bit of time and maybe she could eventually move to one in the mountains. It was her dream place to be.
“Oh really? That is rather interesting. I had a feeling those fangs were used for something and it’s to drink blood. So are you alive now or don’t you know? I’m only asking because your not a human anymore. Either way it’s alright with me. You being a blood drinker won’t frighten me away and besides you haven’t attacked me or anything.” She smiled slightly with her tail flicking behind her body as she inspected his fangs some more. “Have you bit anyone in this new body?” She asked nudging him lightly in a friendly way.
“Hmm that is a very weird problem you have going on, but I’m sure you can get over him not being here. It was probably a love/hate relationship, but no need to feel guilty. You will be fine and just don’t worry about him. I don’t understand the connection you had with him since he turned you, but if it’s that strong it must be close to love.” She told him before digging her hoof more into the ground and thinking about any kind of strong emotion she felt for anyone. It turned out to be no one. Not yet anyway, but it was something she would want to feel in the future. “Is there any beautiful places here that you have seen? Have you been to the mountains?” She asked before trailing a little away from him and standing there looking through the brush to the mountains in the far off distance.
“I really want to go there one day, It was so pretty up there.”

A cave dwelling might be a good idea for himself, something at a stable temperature, which would be tolerable for him. He didn't much like the cold, though it was somewhat tolerable, he still disliked it. "It is alright...I have long ago accepted many of the losses I have been dealt." Though some...not so much. He still grieved over Claudia and Lestat's presence even if the blond did upset him and drive his feelings and thoughts into turmoil. Did the other even know what he did to him? He doubted Lestat had a clue, which was perhaps a good thing. He let him know he cared for him but not of the torment he suffered due to his own inner conflicting feelings and thoughts.
Turning his thoughts outward eh shook his head. "I do not know what I am now as I am. I do not care to put such thoughts into it. I simply go on as I did then. I sleep when the sun rises and I awaken when the sun goes down and darkness is upon us." He had not once seen the sun rise over this land and bathe it in a golden glow of warmth, and he did not wish to see what would happen if he tried to do such.
"I have bitten smaller animals, no others like yourself and myself." He answered honestly. "So you indeed have nothing to fear from me." He would not bite another like himself, not here and now.
"He turned me...when I wanted nothing more then to know nothing. I wanted to die but was unable to take my own life. He came during the night and gave me a knew life, one with him. It is...complicated at best what is between us. I have watched him almost be killed, and done nothing but hide the body. I have also confessed my love for him. I have called hi the damnedest creature...and meant everything I did and said." Louis said with a suffering sigh. He did not know what he wanted. He wished for his presence and yet wished him to be anywhere but here.
Killing his thoughts, before they became too melancholy, he shook his head. "None which come to my mind, I have done much exploring but only since winter has fallen. While it is lovely, I cannot say any of those places are ones in which I would stay; not in this weather." Louis said slowly. "I have not been yet to the mountains, though perhaps when the warmer weather is upon us I will go. So it is not as cold as it will be if I were to go nw. Perhaps...we should go together when it's warmer..." The dark haired unicorn suggested only hesitating for a moment.

Listening to him, she thought more about the mountains and how much she loved them. She was always thinking about maybe raising her children in some kind of cave foundation. “I wish I could escape those losses myself, but I never seem to be able to. Maybe one day it will happen. I just don’t know for sure. Who I miss the most is my sister. She was the only sibling I had.” She said speaking lightly since it was making her a little upset. Shaking her head of the thoughts that upset her, she nudged him gently trying to forget about it as much as she could.
“Well at least your use to that kind of a schedule. It’s something that you have been doing since your human life and it doesn’t seem that bad. I usually don’t even sleep all that much at night. I take a small nap during the day, but my nightmare’s keep me up most of the time. I just wish they would go away. Do you happen to know any methods for that?” She asked him with a slight smile as if praying that he did know something about it.
“That is good news then. I didn’t really fear you too much in the first place anyway since you didn’t really give off any kind of frightening gestures or expressions to where I should have been scared. Your friendly and maybe I can even call you a friend after this unexpected meeting.” She smiled to him before nipping grass up from the ground and chewing it a bit.
“That is a very strange feeling indeed. Sounds more like you hate him, but then love him at the same time. It’s someone you can’t really live without. So you will have to just bare it. Though I do think he doesn’t seem as bad as you tell me. Do you think he will be in the state your in right now?” She asked her before thinking of how she would look as a two legger.
“That sounds like it would be fun. Even if it will be warmer then. I would still look forward to something like that.” She said with a firm nod before smiling. “I just like the cold weather and I have to get use to the fact that most others don’t.” She said to him in a slightly sad tone of voice.

Watching and listening to the female unicorn his green eyes closed a moment. Thinking over her question, pondering over what he knew of dealing with nightmares; they were a tricky and pesky thing. Not something wanted at all, of that he was sure; after all who could want them?
"It is never so easy to escape losses. All one can do is put them behind you and take time to think of them; from time to time. If you try to forget them you'll fail." He knew that from experience. He could not forget his own past, sometimes he was glad for that though. "The best you can do is take time to remember it and than push it away again so it does not interfear, or influence, everyday life." If you took the time to entertain the memories it was less likely for them to just crop up. Maybe he should take his own advice? But it was hard to not think of Lestat and Claudia, dear sweet Claudia with her golden curls...so much like Lestat's golden mane of curls.
"Perhaps someone to guard your sleep would help to ease you. If you were to start to dream such bad things they could rouse you or settle you back into a peaceful sleep; without waking you." This being the only thing he could think of after much thought. "Everyone is different and what will help varies." Watching her chew on some grass he leaned down to brush his face, his cheek, to the snow below. It was nice and cold, but it didn't bother him all too much.
Keeping his head down he nodded it slowly. "Yes, that sounds about right. I hate and loathe him and yet I love him desperately and long for his company in a way I have not longed for anything else." Just to be in the others company was pleasing, even if at times Lestat was a brat and trouble maker. He knew if Lestat got them in trouble he could also keep them safe, it was just something he knew and didn't question; that wasn't to say he didn't question the others actions and sanity itself.
"I believe he is a deep person and keeps his secrets and many things to himself, which did give birth to the rift between us and my dislike and utter loathing of him. When at first all I wanted was friendship and guidance from him, I needed answers to my questions." And nothing had come forth from Lestat, nothing but insults and other comments but not answers to be found within the words he spoke. It was a book that answered many things for him.
"Perhaps we can go together when it is warmer, as I do not care much for the cold. I do believe we will be friends so such plans are not bad to make now."

Hydro watched the stallion closely observing everything he did before snorting more of the cold air from her nostrils. "It's really not, but it's just something you have to get over really. Your right. Then you will be stuck thinking about them all the time. I think that is what has happened to me, but I'm slowly getting better. With time I should be 100% again." She told him before hearing more of what he was saying on the matter. "Alright I will try what you say. It wouldn't hurt and if it's works I will be very grateful for the advice.” She told him kindly as she looked away to the surrounding area once more.
“I may look into that. Though I’m not sure who would be willing to stay around with me all the time.” She said thinking hard on it. “Maybe the little basket I will be watching more often will help me.” She smiled a tiny bit before going cold again. “That is a tough feeling to get over. Maybe you can only withstand him in small doses. That is if you meet him while you are here. You never know what will happen.” She told him with small smile creeping up on her muzzle.
“Oh so he was a teacher before everything. That makes sense for why you miss his company so much. He taught you a lot and if you were abruptly broken from such a thing then it is probably a deep wound. You will get better over time though. I’m sure of it.” She said to him smiling a bit before nuzzling her knee a bit. She once too had a teacher and someone to guide her. It was her mother. She was taught a lot at a young age, but now she had to learn everything on her own that she didn’t know. “Good to hear. How about since I plan to live up there you just come traveling by? I shouldn’t be too far up since I don’t want to be too far from the woods. You just let me know what you think. I’m open for anything really.” She told him contently before flicking her tail some.

Listening he smiled a bit. She got it, and would try his advice. He just hoped his advice would work for her, and aid her properly. "I should like to see you when you are a hundred percent, I am sure you will be q very bright person to be around." Louis spoke, his head nodding, and green eyes smiling at her.If he could he would spend time with her, even if she was not quite the same as he himself.
"If it is a companion you wish, and need, I will offer myself. I will stay with you if you like. You will not need someone else." And he could be trusted, she would not need to find someone else or rely on a foal to help her sleep peacefully, and properly. Such a task should not be a foals job, it should be another adults job.
"Lestat....was supposed to be a teacher but he wasn't, not as much of one as he should have been. There were many things which he kept from me. I simply wished he would have taught me more, better...that we could have been friends." It was a hard relationship he'd had with Lestat, hard to understand from the inside and maybe the outside as well. "I think...I would like to see him again." At least that was what everything within him was telling him right now.
