Hydro stepped lightly in the forest that surrounded her finding it to be an odd piece of land. She was use to the forest being covered in snow and nothing in sight for miles. Shaking her mane, she walked on more feeling like animals were watching her every footstep, but it wasn't bothering her at all. In fact she liked it a whole lot more then what she was use to. The lonliness she felt in the miles of just snow covered tundra. She shook her mane once more before peeking out of the forest at the green landscape just outside the safety of the trees. She stood out like a sore thumb because her blue colors just glistened in the sunshine making her feel a little uncomfortable. She trotted over to a bush and curled up against it not sure what she would do if anyone approached her. She just was so lonely anymore..

Liella walked along quietly, not heading anywhere in general, but simply content to walk and observe. It was fairly warm out, though a slight chill traveled through the trees when the breeze found pleasure to breath it's wispy breath. Liella smiled softly as her long black hair, in deep contrast to her bright white body, rippled and waved in the wind. Then the breeze halted, and everything was still again... except for a glimmer of movement, not too far away, near the edge of the trees. A darker shape stood there, looking outward, blocking the rays of light that filtered in from the open spaces where the trees were absent. Liella halted and watched the shape, her eyes squinting to better see the form, and then began to head towards it. As she neared, she could see that the form was another Soquili, and a female at that! She had the strangest thing Liella had ever seen sticking out of her head... was that a horn? And she seemed so... sad. Perhaps something was wrong? With a graceful bound, Liella closed the gap between them, and offered a kind smile as she said, "Excuse me! Are you alright there?"

Hydro heard the footsteps of another approaching making her head slowly turn in the direction of the incoming female. She heard her words and waited moments after before even thinking about something to say to that. Was she alright? Not emotionally she wasn't, but she didn't like people knowing her issues unless she told them. "I'm fine, don't worry about me." She told her as she slowly looked her over seeing she was very elegant looking. "I'm new to these lands so I'm rather lonely to tell you the truth." She told her before sighing a bit and rising to her feet. "Sorry I'm not a very talkative one if that is what your expecting." She told her and could communicate more well with females then male's.

Liella was slightly taken aback by the first brisk reply. This mare said that she was fine, but obviously hid emotions of a deeper sort... and did not want to reveal them. Of course, Liella could not blame her for keeping her feelings hidden. They had just met, of course! She had to remember that not all strangers would be as trusting as she was.

Then the mare mentioned loneliness, and Liella gave a small smile. She could understand that feeling, though not in the normal way that the mare experienced it. She had lived her life in loneliness after leaving her parents, but it was what she preferred, and she was content with the sparse meetings that occurred between her and other Soquili. To say that she was unhappy would be little more than a lie. Still, she was not one to leave another's feeling unattended.

"That's quite alright. I'm usually not quite talkative myself, to be truthful," Liella offered, relaxing her neck into an elegant arch. "But if you're lonely, perhaps you should stick around? I may be one mare, but I can offer you more than the wind and earth, in terms of speech, that is." She chuckled quietly, not out of humor, but simply the carefree joyousness that seemed to radiate from her very form.

Hydro gazed upon the gorgeous female loving her mane and tail the most. She shook her head and looked away from her trying to think on whether or not she wanted the mare to stay. “Sure that is a reasonable suggestion. I rarely got the chance to talk to others throughout my life so this might be a chance to make it all back.” She nodded to the elegant mare before shaking her head some. “What is your name? I’m Hydro.” She told her in a rather monotone voice. It was the typical one she used when saying her name since there wasn’t too much joy to it.

“I came from the arctic so I don’t know much around here all that much. Do you have family?” She asked her and immediately went back to thinking of her own. It saddened her that she still had no family. She was looking for something that seemed almost unattainable at this time. “I don’t have any family. They passed away in the arctic when I was a young foal.” She said bluntly and it was something she normally wouldn’t do. Maybe all these talks with various people in the land was actually making her personality come more out of it’s shell. “Your actually one of the only mare’s I have encountered here as well. So it’s a delight to have to not have my guard up. I just get so tense around stallions. I have no idea why.” She said and could never really pin point it all that much.

Kanani smiled at the mare's name. It seemed to suit her, or more importantly, her bright blue hair and horn. "My name's Liella," she said, a slight nod of her head indicating her own self.

A saddened feeling came to her heart at the metioning of the mare having no family, for she couldn't envision the life of one without parents. "I do have family, though I do not see them anymore since I left my home." Her voice went from the carefree sing-song to a low, sorrowful tone. "I'm sorry to hear about your family--that's a horrible thing to have to live through, having no parents. My parents taught me everything I know, and gave me my love of many things."

Her head cocked to the side at Hydro's last statement, and she grinned knowingly. "Well, it is a pleasure to know that you can feel comfortable around me. I always hope that I'm not too frightening!" The last statement was said in a jesting tone, and a light laugh came from the glowing mare. But she soon sobered, and a soft smile came to her face as she leaned in closer to Hydro.

"But do you know why these stallions make you feel uncomfortable, Hydro? It's because of your beauty, and it's because they do not know how to appreciate such a thing. Stallions are dense, and do not know the difference between love and lust. It's an age-old fact that will never cease to exist, except for a chosen few. Unfortunately, those few are hard to find." A pure-hearted laughter came from her, but not from mirth, simply from her joyous, genuine heart.

Hydro listened closely for the female's name and once she heard it, her tenseness seemed to fade away completely. "It's nice to meet you. Sorry if I'm a bit harsh or anything. I just came hear and everyone I know so far seem to be male's. Not that it's a major issue..just no girl talk I suppose." She shrugged and listened to her more with her tail flicking from the breeze that swept past her. "Oh. I'm sorry to hear that you don't see them anymore. Maybe one day you will get that chance to be near them again." She nodded before hearing her sorrowful voice never knowing what it felt like to hear sympathy from another person. It was actually nice to her since it made her feel something that was new to her. "It was hard, but I made it through. That is why I'm trying to find someone that will be a good friend to me. Someone that won't back off no matter how mean or rude I get to them. I'm really trying to be nice, but it's hard. Living alone most of your life makes you different." She told her before crunching her hooves into some fallen leaves beneath her.

"Good. I don't want to make your uncomfortable and your not frightening at all!" She said with a slight laugh. "Plus your different. You have a rather warming nature around you and it's something that makes me curious." She was at it again. She always liked picking out various points of interest in everyone she meets. It was her curiosity and nothing more.

"Really? I never looked at myself other then in a lake occasionally, but all I say was the family I lost. I'm still not over the incident, but I'm trying to move from it and I'm sure I will eventually." She nodded before laughing with her after finishing hearing the comment. It felt good to laugh. She missed such a feeling and in a way craved it. "That is true. I haven't met too many in my life time since I never talked much to people. But the ones I have met seem that way. Though they are nice and I don't judge right away, but I'm hoping to have a friendship with a few of them." She nodded more before huffing and snorting at the same time. "Like this one named Calon. I feel bad for kicking him in the head, but he just is really persistent to be my friend. I don't open up easily, but he is really pushing it. Anyway...what do you do for fun around here?" She asked curiously tilting her head.

Liella smiled as she realized that the mare was warming up to her; she hadn't much experience on how to make a hardened soul feel welcomed, but she was overjoyed to think that she was making a difference in this mare's life.

Her face lit up as the mare spoke of fun. How wonderful! She seemed to be more comfortable now, at least enough so that she could start casual conversation. And, of course, Liella was all about having fun.

"Well, there's many things I do, though they may not all appeal to you. I love to sing, first of all. It's a natural habit for me--besides, my mother always sang to me when I was little. Also, I like to dance, or at least attempt to. Though I do think that I can be quite graceful." She laughed, trotting in a quick circle to demonstrate her litheness.

"Of course, that's not all there is to do. One can always run through the trees, or play in the streams, or watch the animals as they go about their busy routines. There's countless ways to have fun in the forest!"

Hydro saw the smile on the female making her mimic the same gesture before beating one hoof into the ground. “Singing? That sounds like it might be fun. I never actually projected my voice before, but I did like to hum a lot. I guess that might still count in some odd way.” She said lightly before thinking about the dancing comment never really trying. that before at all. “Dancing? That is something that never would have come to mind really. Maybe I will one day.” She nodded before watching her and smiling a bit. “Yes your very graceful.” She said lightly before thinking hard on things.

“Actually…I do find something fun now that you mentioned it. I liked to play in the snow. I know it sounds childish, but I do and did when I was young. I haven’t in awhile because you can’t really play in the snow alone and have fun doing it.” She told her with a wide smile since she thought about her childhood days loving every minute of it because she was lonely back then. Now she was. “Thank you for helping me realize all these things. I will have to try some of them.” She told her calmly before snorting the cold air out of her muzzle.

“Do you want to do something now?” She asked as she began to walk into the woods more thinking of something she could ask her to get her opinion. “Do you believe in love?” She asked looking back to the female and yawning a little bit a little afraid of the answer since she was so serious on the subject.
