Ok, I was bored so I decided to start an RP to pass the time. Anyone can join (because that is what keeps it interesting).
Just make sure to introduce your Character wink
General info:
My character's name is Alvina Noble (my name book says Alivina means "noble friend" in Old English) but she is called Ali for short.
She is 22 and a self-employed graphic artist in charge of a small shop in her hometown.
Discription:
Her hair is a dark auburn color and the slight waves reach about to her hip. She always has some braid somewhere in her hair, hidden or not.
Ali's eyes are a deep green with specks of gold that varys with the light.
Her personality is generally quiet and thoughtful, but (as her name sujests) she is fiercley loyal to those she is close to.
Edit: Her shyness gets pushed away when anyting new or interesting is involved. She is known to readily accept some pretty strange situations.
Setting:
A small, but bustling town in Oregon, USA called Evergreen Valley. The town is nestled between green hillsides which keep it pretty secluded from outside. Although it is not a good tourest destination, Many different artists and writers visit the town reguarly to get away from the big city noises.
Ok, I'll start
Ali was finishing her favorite cup of mint hot chocolate when she heard a rummble in the distance.
"Oh no, here comes the rain," she mutterd softly to herself. She grabbed her purse and woal coat as she headed to the front of the small family run cafe.
"How much do I owe you Will?." The tall, ruddy faced man smiled at her question.
"Consider it a thank you for the beautiful sign you made for us last week. You have the shop to worry about, right? So get going."
Ali smiled back at her childhood friend. "Thanks Will, I won't forget it."
After giving her friend a quick wave, Ali stepped out into the coming storm.
Note: I used a more story-like type of RP but you can write yours however you want to.

Name: Alic & Simon (best friends)
Gender: Male (I tend to make my female characters more ... Sadistic than my Male Characters so I'll stick with that)
Age: 21 & 22 (simon is the older)
Job: Alic: Curently Unemployed but looking for a job in Robotics (What he's doing there is beyond me, maybe a vacation)
Simon: Senery Painter
Discription:
Alic:
He's about 5' 5" Brown Hair Blue ish green eyes
Personality: quiet & reserved around people he doesn't know very well but once he gets to know someone he'll open up to them he has been known to get rude when made mad but that takes more effort that it's worth, he's a fairly kind person & dosen't get upset easily But when it comes to Simon he'll act completely diffrent. other times he can be pretty Neutral.
(both have short hair that dosen't quite reach their shoulders)
Simon:
Simon is a few inches taller than Alic about 5' 9" Hair is dirty Blond Eyes are a deep green color
Personality: Simon is more out spoken to people than Alic, doesn't matter if he knows them or not, though he's not always best with manners he does try & to Alic's displeasure he is someone who does like to drink when he thinks that Alic wont give him a hard time about it (or when he's upset or celibrating) but he'll always take Alic with him so he can get home safely
~~ Enter Character(s) ~~
Alic & Simon were walking in the dark weather when it started to rain getting them wet due to the fact that they left their umbrellas at the hotel (or motel)
"Wow Simon you pick the greatest places to Vacation to." Alic says rolling his eyes in mock happieness(sp?).
"Oh Shut up Alic, I told you that I wanted to come to Paint not so we could lounge around all day, & besides you don't have a job yet so the least you could do is be supportive of mine!" Simon states, slightly exasperated with Alic's complaining, he never did like the rain that much, not even when they were kids & Simon would drag him out of his house next door to play "Cops & Robbers" with him.
"well can't you at least find a dry place to rest I'm getting soked!" Simon, tired of listening to his complaining friend finally gave in & looked around.
"fine, then let's ask her over there where a good place to get some coffee is" he says pointing to a Woman down the street. "she looks like she knows her way around here ... & she's really pretty maybe she'd let me paint her in a feild of flowers some time."
"don't bet on it, she's have to be insane to let you do that. but all the same I'm getting cold so you go ask her. you know I'm no good at talking to people"
"Well that's for sure mr. Anti - Social Robotics genius" Simon mutters starting to walk twords the dark auburn haired woman. "Exscuse(sp?) Miss, do you thik you could help my friend & I? We're new around here & my friend doesen't care for the rain much you think you could point us in the general direction of a good Coffee shop?" he finnishes with Alic comming up behind him shivering slightly with his hair wattered down flat to his face giving it the affect of a few darker low lights streaking through sevral parts of his hair.
((I'm sorry if I switch between diffrent .. things ... like Ed or S ... can't remember what it's called but I have a problem with that so again sorry))

Slightly surprised, Ali turns toward the blond haird young man. "Back five blocks, and to the right there is a coffee shop called 'William's Cafe' on the main street. They have amazing coffee and hot cocoa for great prices. Tell them Ali sent you." Smiling, she took out her umbrellla and pulled her coat tight against the wind. " You're new to town right? If you two need anymore help, just ask around for 'Evergreen Graphics' it's my store that doubles for a house so I'll probably be there all day. I can give you guys a tour around town if the weather behaves."

Simon Smiled.
“Ali? Is that your name? It’s very lovely. & of Corse I'll have to introduce myself so we can know each other a little better. I'm Simon, & thank you for the Directions." he chuckles. “& I'm sure that if my friend Alic, Here were in a better mood he would at least give a curt nod in gratitude.” At that Alic shot Simon a mild glare but turned away swiftly so as not to seem rude.
“T – Thank you f – For the directions.” He mumbles through chattering teeth then starts off in said direction.
“Well, that was interesting he’s never said anything to someone he doesn’t know well. Wow you’re Magic!”
“Simon! Come on! I’m starving & I’m Cold if you don’t hurry up I’ll leave you’re artistic a** here! & then you can try to find the way there on your own & you know just as well as I do that you’re directionally challenged. So let’s go!” Simon sighs.
“I truly am sorry about him. On a day that’s not rainy he’s usually much more courteous, it’s just the weather that changes him manners & mood so drastically, so thank you again.”

"Sure, no problem. I'm not ussually a conversationalist myself." Ali opend her umbrella as she watched the two men walk away. "Strange people," she said to herself, "strange but interesting."
The next day, Ali was just about to start working on her project latest for the town when she heard the front door open with a jingle.
"Coming!" she called to buy her the time to make it to the front room.

"Oh, no hurry." Simon calls after hearing the woman's reply. after which Alic walked through the door, jingleing the bell on the door yet again. "So you came in? I though you wanted to stay in the car with your Voice Activated Robot seeing as how you wouldn't leave it alone last night."
"sitting in the car is boring & if I let & you wanted to go somewhere you'd never get home unless you some how managed to get ... Ali, right? to take you back. so I came in." came Alic's quick retort to Simon's pointed statement.
"well, nice to know you're back to normal & that the Rain this morning didn't make you more pissed off like yesterday."
"yes, because you're mister "the perfect social person" & never have off days" Alic says sitting down in a chair to wait.
"hmm well at least I have a job." with that Alic just stoped trying, if Simon kept bringing that up he'd never win an arguement.

"Hello, How may I- Oh! hello again. took me up on my offer I see," said Ali happily. "I rarely get visitors, so this is a nice treat. How was the coffee shop yesterday?"

"Verry good, thank you. I thik that was some of the best coffee that I've ever had!" he laughs a little.
"That would probably be becasue you only drink water, milk, & alchohol(sp?)" Alic says blandly not even looking up from his book.
'is he trying to make me look bad?' Simon thinks to himself while giving Alic a small glare. "H - He's just being silly. I drink other stuff than that! ... & no I'm not an alcoholic(sp?)! I just ... just have bad habbits thats all." Simon chuckles nervusly. 'damn i hope that didn't sound as bad to her as it did to me' Simon mentaly banging his head on a wall mumbles to himself.

Laughing, Ali reassured Simon. "Don't worry, we have many types of people here. Including a bartender that watches to make sure nobody overdoes it."
Ali pulled up two more chairs next to Alic, "make yourselves comfortable, you don't have to worry that much about bothering other costomers." remarked Ali with a gesture towards the empty shop. "So, did you come to get that tour of town, or just to chat?"

"He came because he wouldn't stop talking about you & I couldn't take it any more." Alic Says trying to Mentaly caclulate how much it would take to buy a new voice recignition(sp?) system, but get's inturupted by Simon elbowing him in the side. "OW! what was that for, it was the truth any way!" he says rubing his soar(sp?) rib.
"you really need to get some people skills ... really, you're not suposed to tell her that!"
"..." Alic lifts his head from his Robotics book & looks to Simon then to Ali. "I don't care if I don't have any Social skills at all, but because he's annoying me I'll just flat out say it, he's obsessed with you, ok ... & If I remember corectly(sp?) from Simon telling me before, that means he likes you ... more so than -" Simon paled when he heard Alic say the word 'Obsessed', man it was so over for him, she probably thought he was some sort of Stalker pervert! he looked to Alics face, that's when he saw it. Alic just loved to make him out to be the bad guy, & he knew that glint in his friend's eye, causing him to pale even more & with that he covered his mouth as fast as he could. He looked to Ali with a slightly nervous expression.
"S - Sorry about him again, really no social skills what so ever hahahahahahaha ... ninja " then turned to Alic giving him a stern glare. "you basterd, I will kill you for this." Simon whispers to Alic so quiet that if he hadn't been listening he never would have heared the thret(sp?) the only reply he got was a smug look in his friend's eyes. as if saying 'as if you can, you may be stronger than me but I'm smarter'

Ali was shocked for a second, then after a second burst out laughing "wow, he really speaks his mind doesn't he," she said with tears running down her face. "I can tell things will get interesting around here," she said while facing Simon with a reassuring smile. "I don't really care, as long as nobody attacks me...... or does anything illigal."

Alic Pulls away from Simon's hand makeing it so he's free to speek again. "He just does it because he doesn't know any better"
"Whatever you say." Alic Says going back to his book.
"Well now that you know that I like you, ... how would you like to go get some lunch with me? ... I'll leave Alic at the hotel hahaha" Simon asks hopeful. With that said Alic gets up never takeing his eyes off the book & walks out the door.
"Well you better hope that lunch is today because I'm takeing the car." Alic calls out to them While closing the door to his 2006 Nissan 350Z Coupe, Magnetic Black car.
"But my car is at the Hotel!" Alic didn't even agknowlage Simon's call of protest & started the Car listening to it purr to life then backing out of the parking spot & driving off. "... Someone really need to tell me why I'm friends with that guy ... I mean he was even like that when we were kids."

"Mabye opposites attract?" Ali said in response to the question, "also, I'm alright with lunch. Nobody really comes here for business so I can take a break." Ali stood up and grabbed her fitted woal coat and purse. After a thoughtful few seconds, she also grabbed her green umbrella. "You never know with the weather," she said with a half laugh. Moving to the door, Ali turned to Simon,"coming?"

"Maybe" he laughed, then at the later, Simon was genually(sp) shocked. he really had thought that Ali would have been at least a little put off by Alic's actions ... everyone was back in London.((I finally decided that Alic & Simon were from the UK & that London was as good a place as any to be from)) but didn't let it show as he instintly(sp?) brightened. "yeah, ... are we gonna walk or do you have a car? ... Alic sorta just left in the one I came in heh heh." Simon chuckles rubing(sp?) the back of his neck While getting up & walking over to Where Ali stood waiting.
