Marksmen: First Group Training

Rather than training you in pm's or individually, Marksmen training will occur as a group. In order to efficiently train all of you, it is best to put you in a large group so that you may activley engage in roleplay in the guild. Suicidesoldier#1 will also be in here to train you guys when necessary, and is given the right to take over my character.

Name: Alyssa "Hatter" McConley
Rank: E-4
Team: Gamma
Role: Assualt Squad

Alyssa stepped off the helicopter, and went straight towards the bunker. She needed to make sure she had enough ammo and such to stay alive out there. She wasn't nervous, this wasn't her first bar-b-que. She was actually rather excited. She had her music playing, while arriving, and once she had her sleeping quarters, she put it away. She was ready to kill. She walked towards supiorior to get orders. She had to make sure that everything was ready to go. She'd be put on a team, which wasn't anything new, except she hadn't met any of these guys. She was called Hatter by her friends and comrades because she was a tad bit crazy, but willing to help where needed. She held her AR-18 semi-automatic in her hands, and her grenade launcher sat patiently to be used, on her back.

((For the purposes of this excercise, we'll assume I'm your superior. Also, I'd suggest ditching the grenade launcher on your back and getting an M203 rifle mounted grenade launcher. It's lighter and easier to use. In fact, most nations use an M203 or another rifle mounted grenade launcher as their standard grenade launcher.))

Bones thought for a second, thinking of where she wanted to put Corporal McConley. "All right, I'm putting you with Fire Team Gamma. You're team grenadier and team leader. You have two riflemen and a machine gunner at your disposal. As for the mission, it's pretty standard. We need to move out to the nearby village. The village elders are afraid of an insurgent attack. We need to provide security just in case something happens."

Hatter saluted, and nodded,"Yes, Sir."She replied. She knew the villiage wasnt' far, but there was danger up ahead as well. They'd have to eliminate the threat ahead before providing good security for the village. She started towards the jeep, before deciding the weapon on her back wasn't going to do well where they were headed. She went back, and switched it out for M203 Rifle mounted grenade launcher. It'd be lighter, and easier to carry. She quickly grabbed enough ammo, and headed towards the jeep, to meet up with her team. She'd have to get them moving, and get them all there alive. She'd have no one dying on her watch.

((All right, good. Let's hold the RP there until the other two guys post. I don't want to get too far in without them.))

Quietly, the Marksmen Instructor approached. This instructor wasn't quite like the Drill Instructor that most units were used to. While a DI was constantly abrasive and tried to intimidate you, this DI was to instruct. You were going to learn. A certain hidden sharpness developed around him. He was essentially an intellectual drill instructor.

"Well hai there, new recruits! So you've all come here to learn to be a marksmen? Very well. To start off. What kind of weapon do you think you'll be needing?"

Larouche turned to look at the approaching instructor. "Morning, sir. I've got the first recruit briefed on the exercise, and I'm waiting for the others to arrive before setting off. Will you be participating in today's activities?"

"Everything is nice and dandy. To answer your question I will be engaging in your activities today. Now, I'd like all of you to form a nice orderly line, in no particular order. Also, you are all marines now. You will refer to yourself no longer as "I" and instead as 'this soldier'. You will refer to me as 'this soldier's commanding officer'. When speaking towards me, you may approach me as 'commanding officer'. Thank you.

The first thing you've got to remember when becoming a marksmen however, is your weapon. The only reason you can be a marksmen is becuase of your gun; and being a marksmen with another gun can be difficult when your only adept in one kind of gun; especially when you delineate from your standard style of weaponry: assault rifle to pistol, sniper rifle to assault rifle, the like. So recruits, your job is squad support. What weapon do you choose?"

The Drill instructor paced back and forwarth, awaiting the actions and responses of each of the recruits.

"I'll start this off. For you geniuses who don't recognize what I'm holding, it is an M16A4 assault rifle fitted with an M203 grenade launcher. It fires a 5.56 by 45mm cartridge from a 30 round magazine with single shot and three round burst capability. Notice that there is no fully automatic fire capability. That is intentional. The high rate of fire of the M16 makes it a waste of ammunition." With that, Bones stood ahead of and to the right of the recruits to observe as the recruits armed themselves.

Charlie grabbed her photographer equipment and slung it over her body before placing her camera around her neck and walking out of her bunk. Today she was going to see some action. She had her swiss army knife in her pocket and two guns handheld guns in there pouch. Today she was going to a village where they were providing secuirty for the villagers. Charlie sighed and grabbed her picture of her parents and placed it in her pocket before stepping in the truck along with a group of men. She sat in the corner as all the men were talking to eachother. Charlie did not talk to the men because she was so busy training and other stuff.

When they arrived at there destination all the men got out quickly and went there ways. Unlike Charlie she had no idea where she was going. They just told her to get ready. So Charlie got out quickly and walked around until she saw someone she reconized. Or at least she thought. it was Sergeant Larouche. She walked up to him and sighed. "Exscuse me sir but I need some information on my mission" Charlie said in professional yet stern voice.

Directly Anonymous grew increasingly irritated at his new recruits behavior.
"First of all, all of you will refer to yourself not as "I", or "I'll" or "Me", but as 'this soldier'. Secondly, you will get in a nice neat order and recite to me what you have learned so far so I can accurately determine where to start training. Thirdly, we do not use M4A1's or M16A1's, we use Marksmen Rifles, which are located in the Amory. Now ALL of you, everyone single one, get in a single file line, shoulder to shoulder, facing me. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about these basic instructions. If your in Marksmen training I expect you to understand English; is there another language you would like me to speak in? En Espanol? Auf Deutsch? In Französisch? На русском языке? What ******** language do I need to speak in for you to understand elementary school concepts? Now get your asses in line, and speak to me when adressed."

Charlie looked at the stubborn man before walking infront of him facing him as well as the other soldiers did. She felt a mans arm against her shoulder on both sides. Of course she was small and everyone was a giant. Charlie sighed softly before standing up straight and lookign foward. Papa didn't mention how much of an a*****e these guys would be. Charlie smirked at the thought but then wiped it away knowing it will be caught and she will have to do some brutal s**t.. Again. It happened before. Actually many times. Charlie would smile, giggle and or speak out. Then they would make her run until her feet bleed, do pushups until her arm's broke off and other things. One time Charlie made a remark because the trainer was acting bitchy. She had to run until sundown. Non stop. The men sat down and watched her go. Charlie did not care. She needed to lose a coupel of pounds anyways.

A slight smirk grew over Anonymous's face, and he began to speak in a much quieter and softer tone. "I see you have gotten in line, soldier. Please, state to me your name, and which weapon you will be using, and why." Anonymous also began to pace, and was hoping that the rest of the transactions would run smoothly. After all, he was trying to instruct. While he had patients for new recruits, this was marksmen training. If you did not learn here, then you never would. Everyone was equal here; Anonymous felt that he was actually serving his groups by teaching them the abilities necessary to become an effective combat marksmen, and that anyone disregarding this service was disregarding free information.

Charlie heard those damn words so amny times it drove her insane. The men that were next to her smiled trying not to laugh. Oh yea they were in her team. Actually they were in her bonk. Charlie pushed one of them hard enough to hurt but not enough to push him over. Charlie then looked at the man before stating it once again. "Charlie Abby Guzman. sir. The weapon of choice is the HK G36 assault rifle with 40mm AG36 underbarrel grenade launcher. Sir. Chosen because it's lightweight and easy to use. Sir" Charlie said in a stern professional voice. She needed a lightweight gun because she will be carrying her camera and other equipment. Charlie always said the same thing every time she was asked the question. The guys would laugh and she would laugh as well. She could tell that the her bunk mates were trying to contain there giggles. Charlie's expression did not change.

Anonymous raised an eyebrow at the suggestion, and decided to offer an alternative
. "Mhmm. Well, what you say is true. For a more accuracy intensive weapon, I would appreciate it if you chose a more accuracy inclined weapon. While your weapon is the best of it's kind, for my specific purposes, I would appreciate a more sniper-like weapon. How about the SIG 550 with a 30 round clip? It's much more accurate than the G36, has a better scope and, it uses the exact same round while being around the same weight. Sound alright?"
