Chai groaned and turned again in the bed of leaves underneath the large tree. Yes, it was warm enough, and she supposed it was comfortable, but it just wasn't what she was used to. It was a tiring thing, to have travelled back to the middle of the wilderness to visit old friends, and to find that in the time that she had spent in the human cities, she had changed, grown spoiled, disdainful of nature. She truly missed the noise, the organized chaos, and the light of the human cities, the abundance of food, the kind people, even the children, to a degree. But, as usual, she found her thoughts drifting back to her appearance, her old friends, and her past. Unfortunately, the mere knowledge of that didn't make it any easier to sleep, and she walked tiredly to the nearby lake to get a drink of water, stopping to peer at her features.
She was colored a light brown, with darker brown points at her extremities. Seal-point, the people had called her, and they would have been right, had she been a cat, or possibly a seal. But, looks hardly mattered, and the expression on her face soured instantly at the thought of being stuck here with yet another annoying male to heckle her. "Well, it didn't happen too often..." she admitted aloud, falsely comforted by the apparant near-silence around her - she wasn't used to being overheard. "And they never tried after the first time, thank the gods." She leaned in to lap at the crystalline surface, completely unaware of the the other wish near the clearing by the lake, the one she had disturbed with her spoken monologue.

Lucy peeked at everything though a large bush besides a lake. she was well hidden in the bush, but the large leaves blocked most of her vision. the bush was thick with leaves and she barely had space to turn her head. with a lot of effort, she forced her head out the bush. Finally some fresh air.....it stinks in that bush! she tried to move the rest of her body out of the bush. only her tail got stuck, but she snapped a few twigs and picked leaves around the bush, and her tail got out unharmed. she looked back at the bush, making sure no wish was following. Lucy looked down into the clear water, and stuck a paw in it. she drew the paw back and stared as the ripples made by the paw collide with more ripples coming for the other side. she looked up and saw another wish lapping water at the other side of the lake, colored light brown. she didn't say anything, just looked up and waved a dry paw at it

Chai turned to glance up with surprise as she registered a disturbance in her ripples in the water She turned up to see a black-and-white wish, absolutely covered in the leavings of the forest, with leaves and twigs and bits of bark stuck in her fur, particularly her poor tail. As her scent carried, she could be certain that yes, her intuition was right, and it was a female. She nodded at the other, managing a quiet, civil "Hello," before she stepped around the perimeter of the small lake - more of a glorified pond with a river, really - to greet the harmless-looking stranger with the beautiful green eyes.

Lucy brushed the mess of leaves off her tail with her claws. she didn't notice the other wish coming toward her. when she had finished she walked into the shallow end of the water and kept her tail up so it doesn't get wet. she saw the other wish more clearly now that she wasn't all the way at the other side of the lake. "Hi, kitty!" she yelled. "nice meeting you today!"

Chai blinked at being called 'kitty', then smiled. "Nice to meet you, too," she said tiredly. It was too early to be awake, let alone that she hadn't been able to sleep hardly at all. She looked at the other wish with intest. "My name is Chai, though, not kitty," she added, still amused. If this is the conversation I'll get around here, I don't think I'll have missed too terribly much. Still, it's nice to be home.

Lucy sat down next to Chai so close fur touched fur. "Well, my name's Lucy." she said happily. usually no wish visited this place. "Have you been to this lake before? or is this your first time?" she looked at the water.

"Pleased to meet you, Lucy," she started, looking the other wish over with slightly less defensive eyes. After all, she could take this scrap of fur without too much trouble, if push came to shove. She seems silly enough that it shouldn't, though. "I must have been here before. It's been a while." She looked at the other, seeing the bush-mess surrounding the cream-and-black wish. "But I would love to be shown around."
