Okay, I weighed myself this morning, before I ate anything, and I went to the bathroom before I did it. I am on my period, but I don't know if that'd make it higher or lower or what, so I'm ignoring that.
Anyway, my current weight is 200 pounds. Now, I have never intentionally tried to lose weight before. But, my "BMR" is apparently 1730 calories.
So right now, I'm not gonna try and focus on a lot of things at once, I'm just going to count calories, and that's it.

I'll keep you my dirty little secret... Hey there! I'm proud of you for starting on your diet, and committing to a better lifestyle! c:
For starters, your period does affect your weight. I know that when I'm on my period, I weight about 2-3 pounds more than normal. Apparently, this is due to water retention.
...don't tell anyone or you'll be just another regret.

Jan. 1, 2010
Today my family is going to eat dinner at some restaurant with giant schnitzel, so I have to keep my calories to a minimum during the day.
Breakfast- Egg Sandwich and tangerine- 201 calories
Two pieces of wheat bread- 110 calories One large egg- 78 calories Tangerine- 13 calories
Lunch- Turkey sandwich with mayonaise and green beans with butter. >.<
Dinner- Unfortunately, my parents are taking everyone to McDonalds instead of the schnitzel place, so there's no hope for my calorie goal today.
Other- 1.5 liters of water herbal tea w/ honey

Hello! I'm stars, good luck with your weight loss!
I also tend to gain weight too around that time, it's normal. To decrease water retention, drink a lot more water (sounds counter productive, but your body holds on because it thinks it's not getting enough). Or, you could try Midol (it has a diuretic in it) or OTC diuretic (they make you pee a lot to lose the water weight). Only use them if you really need them though. I'm borderline with my pants size right now so I have to if I want to be able to wear pants during that week or so.
EDIT; The salads at McD's aren't great for you, but as long as you don't drown it in the entire packet of dressing you'll be ok. Otherwise, the chicken nuggets are less caloric than the burgers there. Best of luck!

A lot of fast food restaurants have healthier choices now, so choosing one of those instead might be a good choice in the future. You can always get grilled instead of crispy, etc. My boyfriend and I eat a lot of Taco Bell, and I'm going to try my hardest to eat stuff off their Fresco menu more (which is really tasty!) It'll just be hard giving up my Volcano Burrito, since it's tastes so good! Mmmm, hot sauce...
Anyway, so far it looks like you're doing well. Remember you weight will fluctuate about five pounds based on your water weight, especially during your period. It can help to weight yourself at the same time of the day, to get more accurate readings. First thing in the morning is usually best, because you haven't taken anything in yet.
Good luck!

Try a chicken sandwhich instead of a burger. Haha, did you see that silly taco bell drive through diet that they are trying to pass off? Good luck though. Excercise helps, but cutting calories in a healthy way still does it. Good luck. 3nodding
