It was 11:30pm on a Saturday night, and Elle's mom was home. Where was Elle? You're damn straight she was out trolling for parties. She didn't know that many people from Meadowview yet, but it was a Saturday-- surely somewhere in Destiny City, there was a bangin' party happening. And Elle would be damned if she didn't find it.

Dressed to the nines and high as ********, Elle made her way through upper-middle-class suburbia with a few of the stoners she'd befriended, headed for a house party at the end of the block and humming some Black Eyed Peas. She was in a good mood, an enormously good mood, brought on as much by chemicals as the thrill to be out on a Saturday and being a proper teenager again. She could almost forget that she'd woken up in a hospital with no idea how she'd ended up there not too long ago.

"Tonight's gonna be a good night! ♫" she sang a little louder, as if she were making a promise to herself. She wasn't going to think about that weird feeling, which she hadn't yet figured out was her ability to sense the youma that plagued her hometown. No, that was an issue she would take up another night. Tonight she was going to have fun.

Her feet rolled under her easily in spite of high heels, THC straight to the dome, and moderate amounts of the cheap a** beer she'd downed diluting her bloodstream. Party combo'd up! They headed up the front lawn and in through the front door, which the last group had left ajar as they hauled in cases of more blessed alcohol. It was a NICE house, even if it smelled like booze and sweat right now. A far cry from the townhouse where Elle lived, this neighborhood was upscale.

The music was thumping loud enough to be cause for a noise complaint as Elle threaded her way through the teenagers standing around with beers and solo cups, back into the kitchen where someone had set up a game of beer pong on a crappy plastic extra-long table put out just for that purpose. She didn't know the host of this shindig, but to judge by the fact that no one was glaring at her like she'd better get out, she felt safe enough to put herself down on the lineup. Elle. Just Elle. That was her.

Amaravati was absolutely $*@#ing wasted. Amaravati was absolutely %^#$ing wasted at a party. ... Amaravati was absolutely ^#@$ing wasted at a party where she knew absolutely no one. This was becoming a theme for her. It was becoming a god$%#@ theme, and if she had taken a moment to think about it, she would have realized that she was seriously risking her brand new top of the line boots. Boots, in point of fact, that were probably the classiest, cutest $%#@ things around, that went so far as to being the best boots she had ever had for dancing.

Alas, there were more important things to think about-- a god%$#@ miracle, because nothing was more important than her amazing shoes, seriously-- than her footware. These more important things came in the form of boozed up (or high) young men and women. Fascinating. It was a whole new playground for Amara, and she was really starting to get into a groove. $%@# faced drunk tended to bring out her wild side, and it was fun to let it come out and play. Thrilling, even. Here, she could dance, and be vulgar, and show off like no tomorrow, and no one cared.

At Crystal, they would have flipped out. Amara's roommate was exceptionally prim and proper, and she had certain opinions about swearing, and generally being a public menace. Of course, the fact that cops shared those particular opinions wasn't important at all. What was important, however, was the beat that had her moving. Belting out the latest lyrics, she went a little crazy with her hips, hands in the air, raising the roof, and swaying. Yeah. This was definitely her style. She was lost to the beat, jamming like no tomorrow... and then it happened.

They played her song.

Hell yes!

And yeah, it did $%#*ing require emphasis, because it was just that amazing. ... Was Amaravati Priti honest to god singing, and dancing along to Bootylicious, by Destiny's child? Why yes, yes she was. Shamelessly? You betcha. No one understood that song, lived that song, breathed that song like Amara. There was maybe one other song that ranked up almost as high in her estimation, but they weren't playing that right now. She was making a scene, but it didn't matter. What was the point in attending a party if you were totally forgettable? No point, really.
