Harry Potter spent a majority of his early life avoiding spiders in his closet-under-the-stairs bedroom, cowering beneath the unjustified rage of the aunt and uncle that took him in. At eleven his life improved only marginally; while he was whisked away to a secret school of magic and sparkling mystery, each year he ended up locked in a fight for his life or the lives of his friends.
In his fourth year, Harry became romantically entangled with fellow Triwizard Tournament Champion Cedric Diggory, and learned that there are dozens of unique non-magical uses for a wizard’s wand. And after the violent end of the Tournament, his lover sprawled dead before him, he learned that liars and cheaters have to endure the mourning of one’s boyfriend’s oblivious girlfriend as well as their own. Needless to say his romantic stint with Cho Chang didn’t last long.
But it wasn’t as awkward, as it turned out, as his marriage to Ginny Weasley following the fall of the Dark Lord. The pair were married just months after the Battle of Hogwarts, Ginny giving birth to their son Jamie Sirius a few years after. Jamie was followed by Albus Severus, who was followed by Lily Luna. Harry spent a large portion of his time at the Ministry of Magic, helping rebuild the government he’d so loudly opposed during the war, and was therefore frequently absent during the early years of his children’s lives. And by the time the Ministry had been righted, his children were approaching their teen years, and he could no longer ignore their mother. Who wasn’t the best of romantic partners due to her lack of phallus.
And so Harry divorced his faithful wife, and fled his comfortable home and loving family for the embrace of glittery gay bars and shirtless raves on weekends. In turn, Ginny became prone to shrieking and throwing things at him whenever he lingered within ten feet for more than ten seconds.
Oh, and his second son Albus moved in with him, and they had sex.

As a single and outed homosexual and an auror, there’s a lot that can be done with my Harry. He can be involved in a crime plot, thrown into a scene at a club for filler, or placed as a romantic interest for other men.
My Harry is as un-canon as they come, though I typically remain true to canon Harry’s speech patterns. He’s an absolute wreck and has no idea how to handle anything but war like an adult, and his divorce has only made his emotional retardation worse.
