Well for me, My friends and I were at Barnes and Noble looking for a book. (Like a week after The Lighting Theif release.) We found a cool book called "The Lightning Theif" We each bought a copy and loved it. We also became addicted to Greek Mythology. It was such a GREAT book! If you hate PJO, then get out of my guild!!!

Well, I found out about it when we had to read it in Language Arts last year. At first I was thinking that it was going to be a bad book. But by the time we finnished it in class I was addicted to it and read the entire series! ^_^ I can't wait for the follow up series to it!

Last year I was in a Target books section, and I saw the Lighting Thief. I examined it for a little bit, and read the back cover. I decided to get it when I found out it was about Greek Mythology. Ever since I was a little kid I loved Greek Mythology. I got the first book and like finished it in a week. After that I was captured by the PJ Series, and I nearly died when I found out about the movie.

Luna says:

My friend Calli was really into the series when I met her a few years ago, but I never really got around to reading it until she lent my little sister the first book.
After I picked it up, I could not stop reading.

There are only 2 things that my entire family (ages 5 to 47 years old) love: Harry Potter and PJO.

I read it because first, I was reading this fantasy book about adventure (yay!), when i finished. I gave it to my librarian from my school (I got the fantasy book from my school library), then she told me 'Hey, I have this book that everyone that read this love," he introduced me to Lightning theif, and i read it, then i introduced my friend. You guys remember the first page it says like 'If you feel something stirring close this book'? my friend read that and closed it. I told him that was a joke, and he began reading it. He's finished with the series now.

Lol, I remember that part.

I closed it too-- for about a minute. My curiosity (fueled by A.D.D.) took over ^^

Well, tomorrow it's going to be last year. My former teacher(who is the best teacher alive) had met RR at a book signing and told him that she thinks his adult books suck. So he gave her the first three PJO books to see if she liked those better. She broguht them to school and, during a free period, had her homeroom take turns reading the first part out loud. I got to read the last part where Percy goes and kills Mrs. Dodds, then nobody remembers who she is.
Then she added the books to her shelves of books and said nobody could borrow the books until the weekend was over. That killed me. I was the first to get the first book the following Monday. I read the first three and got the fourth from the library.
Then a couple days after the 5th camed out I got it. When I was done I asked my teacher if she wanted to borrow it and she asked if her daughters could read it too because they were kinda fighting over who read it first. 3nodding

Your teacher rules.

Did she ever go back and tell RR how awesome the PJO books are?

Some of my friends were reading the books, and I asked them what they were about. It sounded really good, so I started The Lightning Thief, and after that I was hooked. I borrowed all the books from them(they had bought all of them) and I loved them.
I love them for that.
