I decided to do a little tidying before I make din-din for hubby. So I went and vacuumed, straightened up the bedroom, et cetera. I noticed it was time to put some food in kitty's dish. We store the big ol' bag of cat food in this blue storage bin in the pantry under the bottom shelf. When I lifted up the lid, an EMPTY EGGCARTON fell into the cat litter! So I went to reach to get it out and OWWW SON OF A GUN! I pulled a hell of a muscle in my neck. It feels like someone SHOT ME!

Anyway.
Anyone else cooking dinner tonight? I'm making some bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breast, probably some steamed asparagus, and wild rice. Yum yum.
Fewk loves to cook. Yesterday I made steak and SUPERCHEESEMAC and wet salad. Made this amazing marinade for the steak. Soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, mustard, a little sugar, 8 cloves of garlic, a bit of fresh ginger, scallions, and parsley. YUM. That would be a great marinade for tilapia too.
What do you guys like to cook?

I wish I had ramen noodles. I went to make some earlier today and got all my usual seasonings in there, only to find, that there was NO ramen left sad

They are a staple when you're super broke, but when I have money for /real food/ I must cook.
I've been thinking about compiling all my recipes and making a cookbook.

Snark Maiden Anything involving chicken and spices, also veggiemince tacos. Yummtastic... aww now I want some. I love making cornish hens, too. They're so fun to play with. GREEN APPLES SCALLIONS AND LEMON! Ftw, srsly. The first time I made them, I cut open the package, and the little hen fell out. It really freaked me out, actually, because it sort of looks like a little baby. D;

The Welfare Burger! Ground meat patty, cheese, jalepeno's, etc second ground meat patty to seal it all inside and wrap it in bacon, top with lettuce, tomatoes, whatever you want and enjoy but make sure you cook everything thoroughly

My mouth is watering. And I love cornish game hen too, my mom taught me how to make them when I was super young. I stuff mine with wild rice and make a spiced butter sauce that I apply to the skin throughout the baking process. It makes the skin nice and crispy, keeps the meat juicy and gives it an overall better taste. I think I know what I'm buying at the store for dinner tomorrow! razz Another dish I cook a lot is something that I was told my grandpa came up with one night when he was really drunk when my mom was a kid. Porkchops, raviolis and rice. Just cook white rice, but it in a glass baking pan, put cooked porkchops on the rice and smother it all with canned raviolis then bake for about 40 minutes. Really easy and surprisingly good. I enjoy cooking and me and my mother are in the process of putting togather a box of family recipies for me now that I'm married and will be leaving the area next year. I like baking more, and I'm not talking about the kind that involves pot, I've always had a thing for making cupcakes, cookies and brownies. My favorite thing is to take a box of brownie mix and some chocolate chip cookie dough and combine it to make chocolate chip cookie brownie bars. Oh man, my kitchen is going to be a mess tomorrow, this thread has inspired me to expand my grocery list, I'm glad my shopping day is tomorrow.
