She was never going to go into the communal showers again oh my god.
After Hero and Aurelia had left, Serenade had finally let herself uncover her face and scrambled to pick up her clothes that she had dropped onto the floor upon her arrival. Then, it was one mad dash back to her room, and without even thinking, Serenade slammed the door behind her, forgetting that she had gone to the communal showers so that she wouldn't wake Elke up in the first place, clutching her clothes (which were now rather messy as compared to their usual neatly folded state) to her chest with a wide-eyed, panicked look.
Hero and Aurelia had been fighting.
Again.
She didn't know the details (if Serenade had heard the earlier parts of them yelling to each other about Jude, she would have died, then and there, and so would the duo) and wasn't sure she wanted to know. The panic and embarrassment was slowly dying away, and now a new emotion was settling in. It was worry. Serenade was worrying for the two of her Zodiacs that had just gotten into an argument (and a naked fight, oh god no, she hadn't seen anything, no). It didn't bode well, and she wasn't sure what to do.
Serenade sat down on her bed, still clutching those clothes and her towel. Could she even do anything to help them to make up?

Elke woke up.
Well, no wonder! She'd been a light sleeper ever since the whole Barren Pines fiasco, and slamming a door at six forty-five in the morning was not conducive to any kind of restful eyelid inspection at all.
Heehee. Eyelid inspection.
She rolled over and opened her green eyes to contemplate her roommate. "Ser'nade?" Elke took a minute to recognize the worry and the... embarrassment? on the Princess's face, but once she had she was up and out of bed, arms wrapped around Serenade. "Serenade, what happened? Are you okay? Do I need to beat someone up? I would, for you, you know." The messy clothes were tugged from Serenade's hands after Elke let go; the bluenette was folding them neatly on her lap, patted them flat and then said, "They're a little damp. Were you in the communal showers?"
Serenade had not been in their showers. Elke would have woken up.

"I'm... sorry." Serenade managed to say, looking a little guilty at waking Elke up, and still stuck in her stutter ever since that intrusion. She didn't even blink as Elke pulled away her clothes, still looking horribly dazed from what she had seen.
"Er..." The green-haired girl had honestly no idea what to say or how to put what she had just witnessed. "Hero. And Aurelia. Were fighting." Naked. In the showers. Apparently her mind still wanted to remind her of the sordid details and she continued babbling on, trying not to think of that at all. "I don't know why; they're best friends right? It seemed pretty serious. It was like a cat fight. They were screaming at each other."
At this, Serenade dropped her head into her hands again and groaned.

Elke set Serenade's folded uniform aside and hugged her roommate. "Well, I don't think I can beat up the Captain," said Elke, she sounded seriously displeased. "But I can give it a go with Aurelia, I am sure that I can beat her up if Grayson helps me. Want I should do that, boss?"
She smothered a giggle, knowing this was not the time to laugh. "I thought they were best friends too, Serenade. But I guess even best friends fight sometimes? Maybe you should ask them about it. I'll ask them about it if you want."
Still very serious, she straightened up and said, "Are we gonna go to breakfast? Also, also, do you need a hug?"

"No." Serenade said quickly, whirling around to face Elke. "Don't beat up either of them." It was clear from her tone that Serenade did not like it that some of the Zodiacs were fighting one another, and she didn't want Virgo and Leo involved in it either. They were a team and they were supposed to work together. She understood that there might be some grievances every now and then, but Hero and Aurelia? It was a little... sad actually. Best friends shouldn't fight!
"I... Don't think they would want to talk about it." She grimaced. Hero would most probably use her excuse of 'oh, we were sparring'. But they were doing it in the communal showers. What if someone else other than her had entered at that time?
"Oh... yes." She said, at the mention of breakfast. She had been so focused on the Hero and Aurelia problem that she had neglected everything else; she now realized that she was pretty hungry. "I just wonder if there's a way to help them make up." Of course, that meant trying to find out why they were fighting for in the first place.
She had assumed their first fight had been about the tension stemming from zombie invasion in Barren Pines. This fight? Serenade didn't know what to make of it.

"Maybe they're mad about the roommate situation," said Elke, a little more perceptively than most people would expect from her. But then, Elke had also seen how Hero and Aurelia were friends, friends who depended on each other, and she thought if she'd had a friend like Aurelia and suddenly Aurelia was rooming with someone else, she might be jealous.
Well, probably not. Elke was not much of a jealous type--as long as they were friends with her, they were in her Good Books forever. "I'd be kind of mad if you'd been rooming with someone else, Serenade, I like being your roommate. And if you think about it, Hero and Aurelia have always been really close, right? It must feel like someone's trying to take away their siblings or something."
She smiled encouragingly. "I won't beat anyone up, I was just teasing." As if Elke, or even Virgo, could lay a hand on the Captain! That was just being silly!

"Maybe." She said thoughtfully. Aurelia was rooming with Giselle, right? And Hero was rooming with someone that she so obviously hated; she and Miriam Jacobs did not like each other at all. It baffled Serenade how they both did not try to get along, being roommates and all. Perhaps it wouldn't last. But even so, how could they think Giselle and Miriam posed a threat to their friendship?
"Well, they can't continue arguing like this." She said with a sigh. She somehow felt as though she should be the one helping them to resolve this feud. As their Princess, she couldn't very well just stand by and watch them claw at each other, right? Who knew how serious it would get?

She nodded and started to rummage around in her dresser drawers for clothes. Elke did not start classes until nine; she liked being up around seven so she could eat and shower properly. Being up around six meant that she'd have time to sit around and do nothing. "Do you want the shower first," asked Elke, guessing that the Princess would not want to head out without getting dressed and everything first.
"Maybe we should ask them what's wrong. I would do that. Maybe you could corner Hero and see what's up with her, and I can talk to Aurelia?" Elke was thinking that Aries could not assign Chronos more sparring, and Aurelia was nice enough she supposed. Elke liked the Captain and she liked Aurelia, so it didn't really matter. "Oh! I know!"
With a big smile, she turned to face Serenade. "We should get them together and make them hug it out," said Elke. "It always works for me and my brother."

"Oh uh," Serenade started at the question. That was right... she hadn't showered yet. She had immediately high-tailed out of the communal showers when Aurelia and Hero had left and headed to their respective dorm rooms, without even taking a shower herself. "You can shower first, it's okay."
"I... could try." She murmured, biting her lip in apprehension. Although she had no inkling of how she could get Hero into confessing why she and Aurelia were really fighting; Hero had been the one to immediately brush it off as a 'practice session'. "Though Hero and Aurelia aren't really huggy people." It also was pretty hard to imagine both of them hugging, to be honest.

Elke frowned. It wasn't like there were peer mediators for senshi; not that she was aware of, anyway. And she would have been aware of them, because she would have been one of them, that was sort of her thing. Failtastic senshi mediator.
"Okay, just a minute," she said; she was thinking very hard about the predicament as she showered. Rather than singing, as was her custom, she was contemplating. Hero and Aurelia were very proud senshi, thought Elke, they were proud people, too. Maybe, maybe if Serenade and Elke faked that they had problems only Hero and Aurelia could handle. Elke had wanted to ask Capricorn for schedule planning advice, anyway. Aurelia was good at that.
She emerged from the shower and gestured at it; she had, as per the norm, gotten dressed in her uniform while she was in there. While Serenade showered, she planned to straighten her hair. "I almost have a thought," she said to the Princess.

Serenade was a little surprised that Elke wasn't normally singing in the showers like she used to, though she was more focused on the unanswered question of how to help Hero and Aurelia be best friends again and not fight with each other.
When Elke had gotten out, Serenade gathered up her clothes (yet again) and headed for the showers. "What is it?" She asked, turning to face her roommate while her hand was on the doorknob.

"Mmmaybe," said Elke, "if we went to Hero and Aurelia and said we had problems only they could deal with, maybe we could sorta trick them into telling us what's wrong? Or something like that. Go shower, I will think it more."
She sat down at her desk, humming as she straightened her hair. This was a hard puzzle, but not one that Elke Arma could not solve.

Problems only they could deal with huh? Serenade scratched her head as she showered, pondering over Elke's idea. What was Hero good at? Being a leader, albeit rather bossy, being tough, being responsible... As she re-entered their bedroom, green hair now slightly damp, she had a thoughtful look upon her face.
"So um," She ventured. "Something like asking Hero about fighting?" She supposed that it was a skill she would have to learn again, and the slight hesitance she felt at this was quickly admonished by the fact that the Negaverse was growing, and they had to stop it before anyone else got hurt.

"Uh-huh," said Elke, straightener set aside. "And I'll ask Aurelia to help me with my schedule, so that way we can get them both talking and then when they least expect it, we just go 'WHY WERE YOU FIGHTING' and there we go! Answers!"
Pause. Elke had thrown her arms into the air upon saying 'there we go', and was slowly lowering them. "Only we're not exactly conversational ninjas," she sighed. "This is gonna be hard, isn't it, Princess?"

"I hope this works." Serenade said, brows furrowed worryingly. "I'm not even sure how to approach Hero about this. Ask her to patrol with me and I try to ask her about the fight as we do?" She tugged on the edge of the blue Crystal skirt; she remembered when the Barren Pines uniform was much longer. It was still a little strange to be back in Crystal... and Hero didn't look terribly happy at having to wear a skirt either...
That didn't have anything to do with the current situation. She sighed. "Let's get breakfast and we'll talk?"
