Hi there,
There's something about buddhism I have never truly understood.
Please tell me if my assumptions are wrong but: Buddhism tells us that if we do not attach ourselves to anything we can not suffer for al suffering comes from attachment.
Basicly, I agree with this but I think that being attached to things and even suffering are part of human nature and life and should be respected as such. Is it true that it is the goal of a buddhist to free him/herself from these things? is that what reaching Nirwana is about?

I'm not exactly the expert on Buddhism, but that's what I've gathered from it's teachings. In order to reach Nirvana you can't be attached to this world, Samsara. I understand your concern though... sometimes I feel that we were born to experience life, even the less enjoyable aspects, because it shapes us. You could look into Nichiren Buddhism... the SGI, and Nichiren Buddhist organization, teaches that we can't completely eliminate desire or attachment, we have to change our desires and attachments to ones that pruduce good karma.
