I'm finally in the next-gen console loop, lol. Refused to buy a 360 because I'm poor and don't want RRoD, and I wanted a blu-ray player for my ginormous TV anyways. Prz don't tell me I'm horrible for buying a PS3. The only advantage Xbox has is L4D and I can play that on Steam.
I got Little Big Planet, Bioshock (even though I've played it, lol.) and Mirror's Edge (not playing this for a couple months D: ).
I need to know what to play and don't say CoD because I seriously don't care about war shooter games. Halo was enough for me.
I want to buy Borderlands but I have no idea if I'd like it or not. I'm a sucker for RPGs and cel-shading (jet set radio I love you forever) but that's like.. all I know about it? sweatdrop

Drokkar Plus, you don't have to buy live for PS3. cool Or wifi. I have enough cords already with my satellite box connected to my phone. I only have one phone line, and DSL. I trip over cords atleast once a day. D:

Little Big Planet is AMAZING! I laugh while playing that game all the time and omg its INSANE with 4 people...just...wow. Their expressions are SO CUTE! My friend and I actually have matching helmets with two different stickers on them...we are now Rofl and Bingo!
Assassin's Creed 2 was pretty damn fun...I rarely stick with a game long enough to beat it and that one kept me entertained. The ending is weird though...so if you play it be prepared for funkiness. I also suggest you play the first one through if you haven't though it gets monotonous. Trust me, the second is better.
All I have to say for Bioshock is FTW!
Do you like things like tetris? I hate tetris but there's an interesting game for PS3 with a hamster like creature that barfs rainbows...it entertains me greatly, my tetris loving friend LOVES it. There's also a new one coming out called Bayonetta that reminds me a lot of Devil May Cry only with a chick...my friend is busting a gut but I am uninterested. Alas I was not a DMC fan either so if it floats your boat...
Wet was cool. It didn't get ranked very high but its interesting, I would atleast check it out if I were you. Kind of a cheesy 70s style 3rd person shooter. It made me laugh.
Maybe this is cliche of me but Resident Evil 5 was the best 2 player I have ever played. While I find semi intelligent zombies who carry guns annoying as hell it was still pretty damn good. The story arch near the end was very well done too. Plus, the harder the modes you complete the more hard modes are opened...yummy...there are scenes that make me want to throw my controller at the screen. I love it!
Borderlands is pretty cool. I dunno, not really my thing but it was a nice concept.
I have a 360 and while I love it I would not call you stupid for getting the PS3 as I grew up sticking to the PS consoles for the most part, aside from nintendo through 64....and sega of course. The PS3 is nice and the best thing about sony is while their games sucked in the beginning they are starting to pwn now. And the blue ray player is a huge plus. Streaming blue ray netflix movies through it makes life wonderfully easy. I hope you enjoy it! Wait...I know you will wink

I love tetris. You just reminded me I need to look for Lumines.
And yeah, LBP is awesome. I haven't really gotten to play multiplayer yet. ): But I don't really know what would be different about multiplayer.~
I've loved Bioshock since it came out. I played it on my sluggish PC (at the time) because I was in love with it so much. I think the thing that intrigued me most about the game was the soundtrack. I don't really know why. It was even better when I got to play through it on a huge screen w/ surround sound. <3

....LBP multiplayer...if you haven't experienced it...you have no idea....basically you have to play on the same screen so no split screens and if any one of you are off screen for too long you die...and there are...such AMAZING obstacles to get through together and you might accidentally grab your partner's foot instead of the squishy spinning thing and then you're too low so the fire burns you and you die and...just...omg so much, it gets so crazy, at times there will be SO much going on on your screen that your eye's cross...now imagine all that with 4 people and you still don't even know. Its amazing.
I will try to figure out the name of the Tetris-like game so you can check out the demo...it's on the tip of my tongue.

Critter Crunch is the name of the off the wall Tetris game for PS3.
And I just remembered...check out Fall Out 3...EVERYONE who loved Bioshock loved FO3. I personally only played it a ways through but enjoyed the hell out of it as far as I got before life happened.

A few of the games we have for PS3 that I know my boyface has enjoyed playing:
Everybodys Golf
Street Fighter 4
DJ Hero
AssCreed 2
I think he played the new Batman game on PS3 as well which he really liked.
We have few other games as well, but Ive not really seen him play them much so can only assume they all sux :p

Fat Princess
Burn Zombie Burn
Hope this helps smile The only games Ive really played on PS3 are DJ Hero. I'm more of a Wii person... Give me Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing any day and Im happy :p

I bought Fallout 3 but I've heard bad things about it crashing etc. I bought the GOTY edition for the regular price edition as well, so lucky me? xp
I bought Fat Princess as soon as I got on PSN. Love CTF. I wish I could play WoW because I think I'd play WSG all day. crying

Don't burn the fighting game geekette, but I'm going to suggest Street Fighter IV and Soulcalibur IV. Soulcalibur is fun to play online :3
Also, I would suggest getting God of War III when it comes out, and Dante's Inferno, just because they both look hot.
