PLEASE!!! Read the entire first post!!!
This role-play takes place 1 year after the events of the game.
There is a thread for all out of character chat. Because of this, I will be deleting all OOC before the other thread was created. I'll also be deleting all charachter request posts after you say who you want to be. That way, once we get started, we'll have nothing but the RP in here.
Squall and Rinoa are in a relationship still, but they are having issues. Rinoa has been targetted by a faction known as the Future SeeDs. They formed their group in retaliation of Squall taking Rinoa into Balamb Garden. They believe that Rinoa will be the next sorceress to start a war and are out to stop her. They also hunt down any SeeD supporting and/or protecting her.
Squall is the Commander of Balamb Garden, which now trains SeeDs with the idea of protecting the sorceress, unless she becomes a threat.
Irvine and Selphie are together. Irvine has joined Selphie at Trabia Garden, but still has tendencies to flirt with other girls. Trabia is now rebuilt, and Selphie is the Headmaster. They are under the same training regimine as Balamb.
Zell has been promoted to the Headmaster of Galbadia. They are under the same training regimine as Balamb.
Quistis has been re-instated as an Instructor at Balamb.
Seifer is still part of the Diciplinary Committee at Balamb, along with Fujin and Raijin.
All are welcome, but please follow Gaia's TOS. We don't want to get the guild in trouble. I will post who is who below. If you decide to become a Future SeeD member, you can name them, just post below. We'll start when we have enough people.

"It'll be easy. Don't worry about it."
The words Squall was told by Quistis right before leaving for Dollet. A cakewalk, it was supposed to be. Go to Dollet, speak to the Dukedom, and attempt to negotiate for access and use of the Communication Tower. It was supposed to be easy...
After successfully gaining access to the tower from the Dollet Dukedom, Squall and Irvine made their way up the path to the top of the mountain. Irvine was only tagging along because he needed to get away from the Trabia region for a bit. 'It's always too damn cold up there!' he often said. Whatever the reason, he was here and wasn't planning on leaving anytime soon.
Near the top of the mountain, where the tower was situated, Squall and Irvine were quickly, and surprisingly, ambushed by a small group of unknown people.
Crouched down behind a concrete road block still left from Galbadia's occupation of the area, Squall was trying to keep from getting hit. Gun fire was pounding against the opposite side of the barricade, but from who he wasn't sure.
Looking toward Irvine, who was also crouched down behind an obstacle trying to keep from getting hit, Squall yelled to him,
"Irvine! Can you get a clear shot?!"

"Barely!" Irvine yelled back.
Peeking up as often as he could, between the barrage of bullets during reload times, he could count about 5 of them... all with machine guns, clearly attempting to take out the two of them behind the barriers.
As often as he could, Irvine popped up from behind his protection and unloaded a few shots from his Exeter, before quickly retreating back down as to avoid the fire raining toward the two.
"They're constantly moving, changing positions! It's hard to get a good shot at any of them. But they're are 5 that I can see. Don't know who they are though..."

Peering out just enough to catch a glimpse of the attackers, Squall tried to think of who they could be. Galbadians? No, relations between the SeeDs and Galbadia are on good terms. Deserters? Possibly. Trying to regain and hold control of the tower... Nah, that didn't make sense. The Dollet Dukedom reclaimed the tower from Galbadia months ago. They don't really have any reason to want it back anyway...
While running through all the possibilities in his head, Squall looked to Irvine, who was having a hard time returning fire toward the attackers.
"Irvine! We're gonna have to retreat! We're not going to make any progress staying here longer. We'll come back later with more people!"

Standing up to unload a few more shots toward their attackers, Irvine quickly ducked back down and acknowledged Squall's orders.
"If we head back but to the left, we can get a few meters while still under cover from the cliff... at that point the rest of the trip down the path should be quick."
Pointing behind his position, indicating the leftmost side of the path down, Irvine popped up one last time and fired a few shots in order to help cover their retreat. Squall moved on behind him and shortly the two were on their way down the mountain.

Leading the way down the path with Irvine in tow, Squall was doing his best to maintain a certain level of cover from their attackers who, he assumed, would be in pursuit.
After a few seconds down the path, he rounded a corner and noticed the gunfire had stopped. Listening carefully, he heard no indication that they were being followed. Slowing a bit, Squall looked back to see that, indeed, there was no one behind them.
"It seems that they, whoever they were, were only keeping us from entering the tower. That is very strange." Squall said to Irvine.
"Let's get back to Garden and put together a team, then return tomorrow."
Just as Squall had given the order, a large explosion rocked the earth beneath them and the narrow mountain pass they were both standing on gave way. Squall and Irvine desperately tried to hang on to something, but inevitably they fell with the crumbled path into the waters below.

"Damn and double damn," Quistis mumbled to herself, as she paced the headmaster's office. She hadn't heard from Squall and Irvine in five hours. Five.
They were supposed to call her when the got access to the tower. Of course Squall never liked to call in until his mission was done, but he also didn't mess around. He was in, got it done, and was out as fast as he could.

Rinoa, who was sitting outside the door to the headmaster's office, heard Quistis' voice and knocked on the door before opening it.
"Quistis? Can I come in?" she asks as she closes the door behind her. "Any news?"
