Allegro’s owner had named him aptly. He was no optimistic furry ball of energy, but he liked cheerful songs. That was true. It was not only that, though. He loved music and the feline had made that clear to his owner. All kinds of music were fine with him and he listened to a variety of genres, but classical music tugged at his heartstrings the most, particularly the violin. The sweet sound that it created was his favorite; he had even managed to take up the instrument himself. Just don’t ask how he learned and where he got his violin. That was something to be answered later, or even never.

He heard that a renowned orchestra was holding a performance today. Ticket or not, cat or not, Allegro was determined to listen in on their playing. So he trotted towards the concert hall, following the small groups of people that also intended to attend the concert. On his way there, he happened to pass by a store where a cat was emerging from. He skidded to a halt and blinked, taking in her colorful appearance.

“Oh! I’m sorry. I nearly bumped into you, huh?” He offered her an apologetic smile.

Her pupils were dilated, but that wasn't the first thing people noticed. It was her hair. Which, for Lana, was a good thing. She was flying high as a kite right now from sitting around humans smoking some kind of weird plant. She had a grin plastered on her face. Usually these types of events weren't her thing; she preferred music she could move too and build up a sweat. But whatever. Music was music. With her wide eyes, she moved with the group and blinked as she heard a voice.

Her ear twitched, followed by her head. It seemed like she was on fast forward; it took a moment for her eyes to realize that they'd changed targets. "Nah. 's cool.." she said with a giggle. She hadn't noticed the other nearly bumping into her, so he shouldn't apologize. "Hey... what kind of music plays here?" She honestly hadn't a clue what kind of music an orchestra played, at least at the moment. "Wonder if I can dance to it."

A giggle left Lana again as she started swaying her hips this way and that. She felt like she wasn't within herself at the moment. It was a scary thing that sent her heart beating fast, her face flushed quickly and a gasp escaped her. Stilling herself, she put a hand over her heart and took a moment to breath deep. That helped a bit. "Sorry. Who're you?"

Allegro pensively stared at her. The first thing that he noticed about the girl was her colorful hair and equally colorful clothes; however, the next thing that caught his eye was that peculiar, goofy look on her face and in her gaze. Somehow that particular expression was odd. It reminded him of that one time his owner dragged home one of her friends. His owner gave her friend a very long tirade, but at least they reconciled later on.

He apprehensively watched her giggle. The cat was wondering whether the colorful stranger always acted like this or something was making her act this way. Either way, Allegro was still a bit worried for her. “Eh? Um, this is the concert hall. People usually play classical music here,” he answered, “However, I’m not sure if that type of music is the kind you’re looking for.”

Stepping towards her, he was secretly relieved to find that she seemed to be regaining her senses. He reassuringly smiled at her. “Don’t be, I’m Allegro. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” he answered with his customary bow. “Are you busy? Perhaps you’d care to join me in listening to the orchestra’s performance tonight? I hear they’re one of the best orchestras in the world.”

"Join you?" She blinked a bit and then nodded. It would be alright to enoy classical music, or something. Besides, she didn't want to go home yet! Home was boring and she'd have to clean because of her room mate, but right now was alright. She was free and happy and Allegro was really, really cute.

Impulsivly, she took his hand and tugged him into the concert hall, taking some random seats, ignoring the looks the others were giving her because of how she looked and was dressed. Who cared if the others looked dressed up for this? They probably weren't as comfortable as she was. Looking to the feline next to her, Lana tugged him down and hugged his arm to her chest. Yes, she was a bit clingy; but at least she wasn't full blown high. They wouldnt make it to the beginning of the concert without her trying to stick her tongue down his throat. "Lana."

Allegro briefly nodded his head at her question, a charming smile adorning his face. “Yes, madam. Would you care to join me? There’s always room for company,” he replied.

He didn’t mind tagging along with another cat, another cat that he didn’t know, mind you, but still. From her attire Allegro guessed that she didn’t go out to listen to classical music very often. Hopefully, it would be an enlightening experience for her and she may come to enjoy the classics more than she previously did. He enjoyed modern music as well, but spreading the classical music would be delightful.

Without warning the white feline grabbed his hand and led him into the concert hall and taking the nearest seats they could find. He could feel the looks other people were giving them, but Allegro ignored it. He himself was dressed somewhat casually. Allegro donned a graphics polo shirt and blue jeans. Not the most appropriate thing to wear to a concert, oh well.

As the pair seated themselves, he noticed the girl closely hugging his arm. Allegro chuckled, not minding in the least. “Lana? That’s a very nice name,” he answered politely. “So I take that you’re the type that likes to go . . . clubbing, a lot?”

She looked over at her name and blinked a moment. Wait, what? "Oh? .....clubs? Yeah. I go every night or so. Love to dance. Love crooning to the songs. I can't carry a tune in a bucket," she laughed at herself and looked over to Allegro, looking at what he was wearing. Carefully, Lana tugged at his polo and gave a little smile. He had some kind of taste. Not something she'd wear, or even let her boyfriend wear, if she had one, but it looked cute with his personality. Or what she knew of it.

The music struck up and caught her attention. Slow flutes and violins started up, sending her eyes closing as she listened to it. "I love this..." It was an automatic response. And a true one. The music helped her relax a bit more, and she leaned her head against him, attempting to hum along with music she didn't know.

He stared at her and nodded his head thoughtfully at her answer, slowly turning his head to focus back on the large stage that held the much-praised orchestra that Allegro had originally come to listen to. So his assumption had ended up being correct. He could somewhat understand Lana’s reasoning, somewhat. Dance clubs were not his thing. Allegro did not dance. Although he enjoyed modern music as much as the next cat, there was something about classical music that tempted him even more. He found himself hanging at cafes and classical concerts more than dance clubs and band concerts.

Curtains drew back to reveal the entire orchestra and the audience politely clapped, the sound ringing through the air. The conductor waved his wand and the music began with high, smooth flutes and slow, lulling violins. Other instruments began to chorus in, the atmosphere brimming with the sound of violas and cellos and other instruments.

He heard her approving whisper and Allegro couldn’t stop himself from grinning. “It’s lovely and soothing, isn’t it?” he replied in a low voice. Puzzled by the sudden leaning on him, he blinked and stiffened for a second before shrugging it off and relaxing. Ears twitched when it picked up her soft humming, but Allegro softly smiled, humming along to the songs with ease.

His humming made Lana smile a bit and give a soft, breathy laugh. High or not, Allegro was one cat she could get along with; someone she could discuss music with and be all buddy buddy. She had someone a bit more intimate right now; at least... they were friends with some awesome uses for each other, but she didn't have 'friends' as it were. Not yet. Maybe this one would.

Lazily she nuzzled into the other cat's shoulder and gave a hapy sigh. It was making her sleepy with just how soothing it was. "It's... helping me relax like crazy.."

He could hear her soft laughter and it brought an amused smile to his face. Honestly, Allegro was a bit baffled. Was he funny? The Manx had never considered himself to be much of a comedian, but hey, she had to be laughing at something and he assumed it was at something he was doing. Not like he minded. If it made Lana happy, then so be it. This was only their first meeting, but he was hoping they could become quick friends. Having more friends was always nice.

She dug her head into the crook of Allegro’s shoulder, contently sighing. Her hair tickled his skin and he bit back a chuckle, instead managing to gently pet her head. “Classical music does that,” he answered with a grin.

It was quickly becoming a battle to stay awake and finish listening to the pretty music. So, she shifted in her sea, trying to jar herself into a stat in which she could listen and be comfortable. Her ears flicked before she finally got off of Allegro's shoulder and stretched her arms above her head. "I like this... But I'm getting so sleepy."

She shifted again, leaning in her seat in a diagonal, her feet tangling with his, her head practically out in the isle. Either way, she was comfortable like this now, and didn't want to move. But this position caused her shirt to rise up, showing off her pierced navel and her legs were more exposed. "Mmm."

Before long, the Manx was immersed in the music. His golden eyes focused solely on the orchestra gracefully seated upon the stage, the lights proudly shining on them as they coolly played their instruments. Allegro envied them, he envied their ability to get on stage in front of numerous cats and play without missing a beat. He played for pleasure and doubted that he could summon the courage to play his violin in front of so many others. Even the thought made him nervous.

He shifted in his seat, feeling the weight on his shoulder disappear. Curiously, Allegro turned to look at Lana as she drowsily stretched her arms before settling into a different position. Her legs casually twined with his, but the tolerant cat was unmindful of it. Although the sudden exposure of her stomach had his attention.

Allegro casually looked up away, propping an elbow on an armrest and cupping his chin. “I’m glad you like it.”

The concert ended and the lights turned on.

And then it was over, and she came back to her senses when her vision was flooded by light. Lana managed to clap and twist upright in her seat before anyone could see how she was laying, not that she would have cared. Lana didn't often think about what people said or thought about her. She was a party cat, a slut, as they called her. Who was she to prove to them right or wrong?

Well, she was just about always high or wasted, sleeping with a different man every day of the week, but that was about it. And Lana had her reasons for doing what she did. The world was an ugly place filled with ugly things. If she took uppers and never cared, the world was a wonderful place full of beautiful people at her disposal. That is what she truly believed.

"What now?"

The lights slowly turned back on in a vain attempt to ease everyone’s vision, but it was a useless attempt all the same. Although the manx had attended concerts numerous times, it did not prevent him from being affected by the sudden change in lighting. It sent him rapidly blinking his eyes as he warily stood up, temporarily oblivious to Lana.

Just as Allegro regained normal vision his ears twitched at her brief words. Indeed, what should their next course of action be? Assuming that Lana wanted to continue to hang out with a small kid like, anyways. Mindlessly stretching his arms, he amusedly thought of how his stomach felt empty right about now. He could go for something sweet. “Wanna go for some pastries? I know a real good place that I visit often.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:28 am

Pastries? She could go for a snack. The uppers she took often left her starving and thirsty. But, she wanted coffee, too. So, she grabbed a hold of his arm and tucked it close to her; putting his arm between her breasts like she were some kid. "I love pastries. 'specially the one with the creme centers." Lana knew her sentence made no sense, there was hardly any structure to it, but she couldn't be bothered with it.

Her shirt hadn't been pulled down, so more than enough of her stomach was exposed and her skirt showed plenty of leg, still. "C'mon."

Allegro had a sweet tooth. He wasn’t going to deny it. Hey, so long as his stomach could endure the massive amounts of sugar he consumed on a daily basis, it was alright, right? The Manx certainly hoped so, because he ate quite a bit of sweets throughout the week.

She grabbed his arm, stuffing it into her chest. He could feel the heat burning his cheeks already. H-Her chest. I-It was soft! Allegro fidgeted, but didn’t stubbornly try to pull his arm out of her grasp. It was rude. A-And her chest was soft. But it was her chest. But it was soft! He was conflicted.

A-Ah . . . yes!” He uneasily answered, darting his eyes away and slowly walking forward, leading her.
