[It was just after Christmas and Holly was taking a quite stroll through the freshly fallen snow, when she heard someone's footsteps in the snow behind her. She quickly dashed behind a large rock coverd in snow to see who was there before she announced her presence. As she peaked around the rock, she saw a handsome male fox looking right at her.

(Xmas) 
Xmas was quite shy, especially when it came to the girls. He was walking lonely through the snow, enjoying the new discovery to his part. As if luck had a chance, he happened to find a female. He slowly walked behind her to see where she was going. But she dashed off behind a rock.
He blushed as she peered around the rock and stayed put. Xmas didn't want to scare her anymore. "Hi, I'm Sam." he blushed again but ligher then sat down.

Holly crept out from behind the rock and sat down on her hanuches and cocked her head slightly. She blushed because she was acting so silly by hiding behind a rock from Sam.
"Hi Sam. My name is Holly"
"It is nice to meet you"
"Are you from around here?"
Very softly a few snow flurries began to fall.

"Nice to meet you too, umm I just moved out here." He blushed because she was cute. Cute! That made it all difficult. Talking to a cute fox. Xmas was sure she must have a mate.
He smiled, "People usually call me Xmas though. That was the day I was born." Xmas tried to be polite, especially since she was so pretty.

"Really?" Holly asked suprised, "I too was born on Christmas!"
"I am new to this area as well, imagine that, lol"
Holly was suprised to find such a handsome fox born on the same day and also new to the area.
"Do you have a special someone in your life?" Holly asked softly with embarassment for asking such a personal question.
"I hope I am not being too forward Xmas"
Holly then begans to blush and her eyelids flutter closed hoping that she did not make too much of a fool of herself.

Xmas blushed, flattered, he smiled.
"Amazing."
He was as surprised that they had things in common.
"Umm, no I don't think so." He blushed red and smiled some.
"It's alright though. I'm pretty shy, so if you don't be forward, I'm probably not going to figure it out." He grinned. She was too cute.
As if he read her mind, but actually just sort of figuring girl-ness thinking out, he responded,
"You're not making yourself look like a fool."
Xmas grinned but blushed as well. Habit. Nasty habit, blushing.

Holly smiled back at him and lifted her eyes to look into his. They were like gold. He truly was breath taking.
"Thank you for being understanding"
"I am alone here and don't know anyone at all until I met you of course"
"That makes sense"
She blushed further realizing that he noticed her feeling of being foolish.
She grinned back at him shyly and began laughing. She found it so funny the two of them. Both shy and blushing. They are so alike.

He blushed when he looked into his eyes, he glanced into hers.
"You're, umm, welcome."
"Really, I don't know anyone else either."
Xmas stood up some, shaking the snow off, then took a puff of fresh air.
"It's freezing out here." He shivered.

Holly stood up as well and shook the snow that had fallen on her. She noticed that had stopped snowing but had grown colder during their conversation.
"I didn't realize how cold it had gotten"
"We should go somewhere warm and get out of the cold"
Holly began to trembel with cold and tried to stop her teeth from chattering as she realized just how cold it was.

Xmas had an idea, since temperature was dropping. He blushed and stood right next to her.
"Just to keep warm." He blushed worse.
He had to think for a minute, they had to go somewhere. "My house maybe?" Xmas shivered a little but standing close made it warmer. At least it worked.

Holly leaned against him, enjoying the warmth radiating from him. She breathed a deep sigh. Thank youuuu. She blushed with sudden closeness to him.
"I would love to go to your house"
"It is continuing to get colder outside as each minute passes"
"You lead the way and I will follow"

Xmas blushed as they made their way to his house. It wasn't too far. His house was around the corner actually.
"So where did you come from?"
Making casual conversations was the first step in a good friendship.

"I came from Coonau Forest, it is a long ways away" Holly told him.
"Where do you come from?"
Holly felt like they were becoming closer every minute. She noticed that they were getting close to his home. His home really was pretty close.

"I don't really remember. My memory is blank." Xmas replied.
Xmas stopped at the door and opened it with his paw. "Sorry that it's a mess, I wasn't expecting to have company." He blushed trying to clean some of it up.
