I had to euthanize my dog today. She was 15 and was sick for about a month. We adopted her from a breed rescue in 2006 and we all loved her.... Photo of her from 2008

I'm sorry to hear. sad I have three dogs myself, one I've had since I was six years old, but she's going deaf, has cataracts, and she's old. As much as I love that old girl, I couldn't bare to see her suffer even more than she is now. I know it sucks, but, as horrible as it sounds, it's for the best. All you can do is look back at the good life you gave her and remember that she lived a good long fifteen years. 3nodding

I know how it is. I had two dogs and both got leishmaniosis when they where 15. So they got euthanized in the span of 1-1'5 years.

It's roughly about 110 dog years. Yup, that's why they euthanized them. Vet said it wouldn't make sense to try to cure the dogs when they would die soon anyway.
