Rai walked through the hall decorating everything with gold embrodiery. He hummed happily as christmas was his most favorite time of the year. He never gave homework out from october to february because of the christmas spirit he was always in. He then stood ready to give the words the feast.

"Howdy" he said as he merrily began hanging decorations without using his wand. He felt so happy that all the terror in the world had seem to disappeared he kept his wand on standby though just in case. He began to laugh as he placed a few ornaments on the big christmas tree.

Marie looked around.She waved her hand and the occasional sprig of mistletoe grew around the room.Waving her hand again lavishly decorated the place with holly and evergreens.

Rai bowed before marie and began to hum merrily again and again over and over until he wanted to stop. He then conjurored up a f few chairs and he sat down waiting for the feast to begin.

Lyra slipped through the open doors of the enormous hall. "I'm not late, am I?" she asked tentatively. The Great Hall was empty except for a few teachers decorating, so she took her favorite seat at the end of the Gryffindor table, close to the owl podium. She took a glance around before laying her head on the table; another night spent studying for Tranfiguration had left her exhausted.

Marie walked over to Lyra."Hey,are you okay?"The fluffy calico jumped of Marie's shoulder and landed right infront of Lyra.She looked cute,but a little funny because a large splotch off orange on her face made it difficult to see were the nose started,let alone ended.

Rai appeared next to them "cheer up! This is christmas and since I love this holiday. There will be no homework until January." He announced. Then he waved his wand and the entire hall was decorated. He then waved it again and a big christmas tree appeared next to his seat behing the owl empodium. All the ornaments moved around the tree.
