Hula shows can get quit competitive and Marcie's long red hair wasn't black enough for the color coordinated show she was about to be in. Marcy was willing to die her hair, but Lu her hula teacher wouldn’t have it. Marcie's signature hair was way to pretty to wreck and worked well in all the shows till now, so dying it was out.

Lu decided to get some alone time with Marcy by taking her to a wig shop. Lu wanted Marcy to pick the wig, but it had to be black, long also straight. Marcy was really excited about her time with Lu.

As they walked in the shop Marcie's eyes filled with amazement. There were so many wigs in all sizes and colors. Marcy wanted to try them all on. Lu allowed her to indulge herself by putting wigs on and acting like different people. Lu also put some on, she couldn’t help it. It was nice for Marcy to have girly time with her role model.

"Ugh..." Cecilia groaned as she trotted primly behind Vanhi on the sidewalk. "Must we walk everywhere?"
"You've got quite the mouth on you for a toddler," Vanhi said, pursing her full lips and crinkling her nose as she looked upwards. At one point she was impressed by Cecilia's vocabulary. But after she said a few more things it got old fast.
"Thank you," Cece said, smoothing out her skirt and quickening her tiny little foot steps to keep up with Vanhi's long, irregular strides.
"It wasn't really a compliment," The woman muttered, her eyes scanning the rows of shops on the street looking for the bakery.

In that split second she wasn't watching the toddler like a hawk, Cece found something far more interesting. Hair, done in intricate styles to display the wings in the window of the shop. "Pretty!" she squealed, pushing the door open to scuttle in. Her blue eyes scanned the different colors and styles with glee as she fluffed her own purple waves and darted this way and that, looking, until she nearly bumped into Marcy, stopping just short of the older girl in her moment of play with the woman she was with. Not having a shy bone in her body, Cece put her hand on her hips and looked up at her. "You know, that doesn't really suit a red head's complexion."

"Cecilia!" Vanhi snapped, having been in a small panic these few minutes before backtracking and spotting her in the shop. However, the purple headed little spawn just waved the fuming woman off without so much as looking in her direction.

" Now now class" Marcy was saying to Lu when she got interrupted. Lu's eyes almost popped out from the confident toddler's statement. Marcy really didn't care what anyone thought the bright pink beehive looked wonderful to her. "You sound like my sister" she giggled at the girl.

Lu decided to back off from this conversation and insted watch what was in the making. She knew Marcy could handle herself. The spawn got lots criticism since having sharp teeth , one red wing , and one functional leg makes her an easy target. Marcy is able to keep her head high and not let any of the flith in her head thus far.

"Well then where is your sister?" Cecilia said in an almost disciplinary huff, hands on her hips before Vanhi's own hand clasped over her mouth.
"Don't talk to people that way," She hissed and quickly let her go when some nearby patrons stopped to look over at the tall woman holding her hand over a seemingly helpless little toddler's face. she could never figure out if she was being too harsh or too light on the little brat so she sort of slunk back uneasily.

Cecilia continued on like nothing at even happened, ignoring the mental suffering her little attitude put her parental through. "Why are you looking to buy a wig anyway? Are you bald?"

The thought of being bald kind of scared Marcy " Ohhh nooo ... nooo ... not at all" She took the pink wig off. Her long wavy red hair shined in the light. " This is my hair " she twirled it a bit with her right index finger.

Lu giggled at the interaction of the child with her parent and the child with Marcy.

The red head then turned to a mirror and started to fix her hair " Im in a hula show , and well all the girls in the show must look alike " she smiled a bit " SOOO I get to buy a wig , even get to pick it out" she boasted without telling the full story. Marcy herself didn't truely understand why she needed the wig but the hula she was doing was worth the trouble in her own mind.

Lu almost wanted to tell the girl the whole story about the competition , and why Marcy needed the wig but she held back.

Vanhi slunk back even more, her head sinking into her shoulders when Marcy giggled, obviously very new at this parenting thing... or interacting with children in general.

Cecilia opened her mouth for another arrogant remark but she stopped, eyelashes fluttering in confusion before she looked to the floor in though, index finger resting on her lower lip. "...Hula?" She questioned, thinking where she'd heard the word. There was a toy at the store she'd wanted called a hula hoop, but Vanhi wouldn't buy it for her. "...Like the... toy?"

Marcy tried to think of away to tell her what hula was but nothing really came to mind other then what Lu often said " Hula is dance that tells an important story , but sometimes it can be really silly like ....umm..... cooking roast pig over a bit fire" she giggled and rubbed her belly.

Lu heard the whole chat and felt kind of touched by it. " I have taught her well" she said to herself.

Marcy did a simple hula move to give her an example, she moved her hips slightly and did a simple foot move. She bent her knees and moved back and forth. She ended with her right hand up in the air , her left hand mimpicked in the same derterion but a tad bit lower. " Like that" she moved over to a wig she was liking.

Lu almost had a tear in her eye. She hoped the two girls would keep chatting.

"A... pig?" Cece responded, crinkling her nose. She watched the hula move with obvious interest, though. "Oh... it's... dancing? Like Ballet?" She asked, her obvious ignorance on the subject showing but, despite her snotty little vocabulary, Cece was still a toddler.

As she put her wig on she spoke " Its kind of like ballet dance , but they use more of their feet and use bigger dance moves , we use our hips in Hula and normaly don't move around to much" the wig was long and blond , it had this sexy lawyer vibe about it. It really didn't look good on a child. Marcy liked it alot and was checking the placement on it on her head " Hey can you help even out the back of wig" she asked. She was use to her sister helping her , so asking the cute little girl didn't bother her.

Lu almost wanted to run over to Marcy and take the wig off of her but she didn't. Kids don't see the same way adults do , soooooo Lu just stood still. She looked around to make sure men weren't looking at her.

Cece pursed her lips and gave the wig a small, scrutinizing look before scuttling around the back and helping to straighten it out like the older girl had asked her too. She was too young to catch why it made Lu uneasy. As knowledgeable as she tried to seem there was no getting around the fact she was still just a toddler.
"...Something seems off," she stated, though it was her nagging obsession with color that was making he spidey senses tingle. "...Maybe you should wear blush or something so it doesn't make you look so pasty," she concluded, giving a 'I'm so wise' sort of nod to her own advice.

After listening to Cece she realized that her skin was kind of pale for the wig " Your sooo right , I think I need like a ..... a...... thick blue eye liner and light bronze skin tone" she giggled. She turned around to her new friend " Lets pick out a wig for you" she looked at the rack of wigs and saw the perfect hair style for her. It was a bright pink wig with two buns on the opposite sides. She reached up on her tipy toes , she is just a kid after all and grabbed the wig.

"Now we can both look silly" she stated as she started to bend down and put it on her.

Lu almost passed out when she herd 'Bronze Tanner and Think Blue Eye Liner'. "She obviously watched to much cheesy beach movies" she thought to herself "Or nooo maybe to much Real Housewives of Gaia" she added to herself.

"Ew! Who wears blue eyeliner?!" Cece responded before Marcy grabbed the pink wig. She was bout to open her mouth and say something but... well the natural hair growing from her head was bright purple.
"Hrm..." She attempted to get the wig on, but she had no idea what to do about her long hair and ended up getting exasperated and pulling the pink wig off to narrow her eyes and glare at it before trying again.

A quick giggle slipped from Marcie's mouth as the wig hit the floor. She walked up to the girl slowly and sister like.

She interrupted Cece's and started to comb her long purple hair with her fingers, then put her hair into a flat bun with a few fast monitions with an extra hair band she had on her left arm. She was good at working with hair , her sister had tips as long with all girls in her halau. "Ok now try the wig" Marcy stated.

Lu had another touching moment. A worker walked passed the girls " Ohhh my thats a picture moment isn't it" she noted as she placed a few wigs on some manikins.

Cece made a few few faces that hinted she was tender headed when Marcy started working with her hair, but she didn't complain.
With her long, wavy hair tamed back into a bun, she slipped the wig on and tried to straighten it out. She looked at herself in the mirror and gave a bit of a pout before taking it off. "I don't like it," She sighed, but caught a glimpse of herself with her real hair tightly pulled back in a bun, scuttling up close to the mirror to inspect it further and pulling one wavy strand from the front out to hang freely. She gave a nod of approval and swished her lacy dress before turning to face Marcy. "I like my real hair better. You should stick to your real hair too," She said pointedly, going back to when she said Marcy's complexion demanded she stay a redhead.

Clearly the little girl gave Marcy a complement "Awww thanks" she smiled. She looked at the girls hair " You have great style " she smiled. She started to walk over to the black wigs " Come with me, I'm sure you can pick out a good wig for the show , my name is Marcy by the way" she giggled. Marcy obviously didn't take to heart the 'don't wear a wigs' part of Cece speech.
