In an attempt to make up for some of the recent events in which Valeri had to shuffle his daughter off to his sister's place because of the uncertainty of how things would turn out between himself and Other, he had decided to pick out an activity which he and Miranda could do together and it would be a day just for them and then Miranda would go forth and spend time with Other as well for a Girl's Day Out. Valeri felt rather proud of himself for these series of decisions. It let his charge know that he wasn't mad at her or intending to exclude her from anything at all that was going on. If anything he was trying to save the child from possible heartache.
Either way they were now at the child-and-parent pottery class seated next to each other and fiddling with bits of clay. Miranda had no idea what she was making other than it seemed really, really cool and Valeri was attempting to make a coffee mug. Their table was large enough to have someone else join them and they didn't seem to be going to any trouble to seem unapproachable.
Valeri glanced over at his daughter and noted, with some amusement, that there were bits of clay smeared over her pale face. "You're gonna need a bath after this."
Miranda gazed over at her guardian with wide red-pink eyes, "Kay'th," and then turned back to her super awesome project that she suddenly decided was a spaceship because spaceships are awesome!

Val thought it would be fun to take Drez out just the two of them, as she had been very busy doing missions for her clan and left Drez to take care of his other siblings. Drez was very happy to spend some time with his mother as he did love his siblings but one was a handful and the other just wanted to arts by himself most times. Val had desided that they go to a pottery class to were she could get some practice in and something that she knew Drez would love, but she didn't tell him where they were going.
Once there and inside to where the class was being held, Drez got all excited as his tongue flicked in and scented clay. Staying in once place to get all the scents he could in the room as Val went over to get some clay. Returning Drez took her had as she spotted a place for them to work and walked over to were Valeri and Miranda were sitting.
"Is it alright if we join you?" Val asked the both of them and Drez just smiled with his tongue still flicking in and out.

Valeri was busily smoothing out bits and pieces of his soon-to-be-coffee mug when he looked up at the woman and then at her child who was nearby. He blinked a little and smiled as he gestured with dried-clay smudged hands, "Sure, have a seat." he invited cheerfully before he returned back to his work for a moment before he seemed to think it'd be a good time to introduce themselves, "I'm Valeri and this is my daughter, Miranda," he nodded down toward the small rat-girl who had suddenly been very intent on her spaceship, which had now turned into a poodle in her mind, that she didn't even notice anyone approach.
Upon hearing her name, however, Miranda looked up and looked from mother to child next to her. Oh! He was pretty! He had very lovely hair and interesting skin and ... she sat up a bit to get a better look at him. He had no legs but he walked with his ... tail? It seemed to be true and she made no judgments upon it other than believing that was rather spiffy. "Hai'th!" She greeted them cheerfully.

"Thank you very much," Val said as she and Drez took a seat hear them and giggles a little at hearing Valeri's name. "Well its nice to meet you both. I'm Val and this is my son Drez," she replied. Drez just smiles as his tongue flicks out to get both of there scents as he was a little shy and then Val pokes him descretly to get him to be polite. "Its nice to meet you," he replied to Valeri as he looked at Miranda.
"Hello, so what are you makeing?" he asked as he got onto the chair and felt around for some of the clay as his tongue flicked in and out fast to help him find just to were it was.

"Nice to meet you guys too," he uttered cheerfully and laughed a bit at hearing the woman's name, "usually I make people call me Val but I think I'll let it go in this instance otherwise we might confuse people around us." he smirked and sighed a bit as he continued to work at his rather funny looking mug. He watched the boy and smiled a bit, it seemed the lad had some vision issues. Nothing that wouldn't hopefully make him stronger later.
"I call him Papi!" Miranda offered her own little take in the adult conversation before she turned her attention to Drez and watched him for a moment. She wiggled lightly in her seat, "I am making'th a ... th'pa'th'epoodlefi'th," she explained cheerfully as she continued to try and mold her clay as she as subtly and helpfully as she could paused her molding of her clay to pass Drez some clay of his own.

Val just smiled as it was funny for the fact that they both has simmular names. "Aw, but that would be lots of fun to confuse people as it one things that I'm good at," she said with a small chuckle as there were perks to being a ninja and confusion was one that she loved the most. As she took some of the clay that was on the table and started to play with it not really knowing what she was going to do with it yet or even if she was going to make anything as she mostly brought Drez here to have fun and meet other. "Miranda is such a cute little girl," she said to Valeri.
Drez didn't say any thing into the adult conversation as he was trying to deside to what he wanted to make. "That is cool I can't wait to see what you made," he said as he took the clay that Miranda passed to him as his tongue flicked out to finalize his bearings. "Thanks, I just might make bead or something like that," he said as he started to work the clay into the shapes that he wanted for weirdly shaped beads.

Valeri laughed lightly, "We'll save it for a party or something, it'll be good fun," he replied to Val happily. After all what's more fun than responding to the name 'Val' at the same time? Nothing that's what! He poked and prodded at his clay thoughtfully and glanced over at the woman and gave a small smile, "Thanks. I always seem to have doubts I am giving her the right sort of guidance I guess, as a parent anyways." There were worse things he could teach her of course.
The small girl didn't seem to want to question the idea of her newfound friend 'seeing' anything since he seemed to not see anything at least not in a traditional sense that she could tell. It seemed rude to point things out like that so she just smiled and giggled, "I will th'ow you when done," she promised. Didn't seem to occur to her that what she was making might have been 'weird'. Miranda looked over at Drez, "Ohhh~, tho'th'e will be pretty!"

"Yes we must as you are right it will be lots of fun!" she replied as it would be and she would have to bring other tricks as well as what fun about be a ninja if you couldn't use some of what you have learned to bring fun to others. "Your welcome. But the doubts do help you make sure that you are doing the right things as being a parent is a learning experience too for the both of you. Ups and downs will happen you just have to weather the both of them," she said as she had plenty of those with her other children that tested boundries and every thing they could, but she wouldn't give it up for the world.
"Cool, I can't wait to see," he said he love things 'weird' the best as those were the most interesting to him just like how he love the different textures of anything new to him and what he did know. "Thanks, I do hope so. But once they are of need of color do you want to help me out with that," he asked since at home he got help the colors to make them look beautiful.
