AIM RP LOG between nessiaing (playing Itzel) and Demo (playing Jengo and Xiuh)

demo:
Xiuhcoatl was not in the mood to hear Jengo prattling on, but these days it was hard to avoid. It wasn't as though he could eat the hare, that wouldn't be polite considering that the small animal had saved his life when he had been... well, dying. And it wasn't like the hare was bad company most of the time, it was just when he got on these rants about his damn den.

"I mean, I've made some nice dens in some nice places. Comissioned you know. By family, friends and the like, but none have ever been... you know, perfect. One day I'll make one. The perfect den, and I'll have a family and move them there. But I've got to have the den first! You know what I mean?"

"Ngh." Xiuh replied, barely paying attention, because he had heard this somewhere in the ballpark of a thousand times before. It did get old. No one could really convince him otherwise in the long run, no matter what they said about him.

"And you know, it's all about the roof. Most hares think it's a comfortable floor, pay all their attention to the ground under your feet when it's all about the ground over your head!" The hare laughed good naturedly, bounding up ahead to get a better view.

He had gotten a good deal out of the whole event. Xiuh owed Jengo his life, and Jengo was a rabbit who liked to talk loud and jump high. It was good to have one hell of a giant scary lion right behind you when you weren't very good at being subtle. This much was a fact.

nessiaing:
Itzel was up early that morning scavenging. She was hungry and it had been awhile since she had had a good meal. The while lioness's slim body moved quickly and easily through the long grasses she had been stalking. She knew she could find something here easy enough, many hares lived around this area and if she was lucky enough she might even find a larger animal of prey grazzing somewhere here, perhaps a waterbuck. She licked her lips thinking of the yummy meal she was going to find.

As she slipped through the grass Itzel caught the sound of a hare speaking, it was for one reason or another obvious to her that it was a hare speaking. Unfortunately for her the lion that was with the hair wasn't talking at all, unfortunatly this met Itzel had no idea what surprises might await for her as she lept out of the grasses and towards the hare she knew was around here somewhere.

demo:
Jengo let out a yelp from up ahead, and Xiuh hadn't been paying enough attention, too busy drowning out what the hare was saying, to realize that someone was sneaking up on them. But when Jengo wanted to be heard, it tended to be impossible not to hear what he was saying.

"OH GOD XIUH HELP!" The hare was blabbering on as he turned on his four paws and tore back towards the huge green lion that stood at the other end of the feild.

It had been a long time since Xiuh had felt the need to be defensive or fight, not since when he had fought amongst the rouge lions... but now his friend was in danger. Someone was trying to eat him. The lion bounded forward, standing over the small creature who shivered behind his legs, while Xiuh let out a tremendous roar towards the lioness who had gone after him.

He eyed her with a cold cruelty and said exactly two words, "Back. Off."

nessiaing:
Itzel straightened herself immidetly. She had barely managed to get a hold of the hare when the large green lion have bounded in. She quivered slightly, it was strange she usually wasn't a nervous create, but she couldn't help it when the large lion had said his two words to her. "I... I am sorry " she stumbled. Looking up into the lion eyes.

"I wasn't aware that he was someone's compain." Itzel explained, have never kept an animal of prey as a compain herself, she didn't overlly understand the practice some larger animals took part in. She spread a smile on her face trying to appear a little more friendly, in hopes that the two would be abl to put the incident behind them.

demo:
Xiuh, as always, kept a look on his face like he would eat her and her children if he crossed him. His old mate had found his face charming, something only a mother could love, Jengo always said he liked it because no one ever messed with someone who had a face like Xiuh's.

The hare stpped forward from behind his companion's legs, "...Well, if everything's alright then miss... I think we can all be friends here. No one wants a fight over one little hare right?" He mentioned, shaking a little.

Xiuh just made a "Humph." noise and sat down, letting Jengo scramble around to sit on his forepaws. Xiuh had never been a very talkative lion, so it helped to have Jengo talk for him. It used to be Eztil... but that was a whole lifetime ago now.

nessiaing:
Itzel mimicked the male lions movement, sitting more delicately then he had. A prim and proper way about her. She was young and still very much in her prime, delicate and lady like, she was actually somewhat ashamed that she had embarrassed her self in sucha way by jumping on the hare. "I would like it very much if we could all be friends." she told the two companions.

"My name is Itzel, it is very nice to meet you." she told them, a pleasant yet seductive smile on her face.

demo:
Jengo smiled a little, glad that everyone had calmed down. Well, except Xiuh, but he was intensity made flesh as far as that went, so he never expected the lion to be civil. "Nice to meet you Itzel. I'm Jengo, and the big guy is Xiuhcoatl. He's my bodyguard." The hare primmed himself a little, "The greatest den-maker in the world you know, that's me. So I have to have something protecting my genius."

Xiuh made a noise that could have been a laugh, or could have been a growl, it was hard to tell, "Whatever you say."

Jengo seemed to be used to this kind of thing, so he continued, "It's a pleasure to meet you. Where are you traveling miss?"

nessiaing:

Itzel smiled at the hares enthusiasm, it was kind of cute, but at the same time she wasn't sure how the lion could handle being around such a bubbly individual when he clearly was not one himself. "I am not really travelling anywhere in particular." she told the duo. "I am just out and about. No real home, but thats ok, it lets me meet others more frequently."

Really it depended on the day as to how Itzel felt about her homeless state, she wasn't really looking for a home but at times she wondered if maybe it would be something she liked. "How about you fella's where are you travelling?" she asked turning the subject towards them, she didn't always like talking about herself, her life was at times a bit of a mystery even to herself, it was something she didn't always discuss with strangers. Besides the hare seemed to enjoy talking why not let him.

demo:
Jengo tilted his head a little, "Us? Why we're searching for our sacred place! The place where I will build my masterpiece! The perfect den where I will create a grand society of hares with the most idealized dens possible!" Jengo said proudly, paws on his little hips as he stood upright.

." Xiuh said, shrugging his shoulders and remaining seated, though he was abrupt and alert, eyes scanning the area at all times. They had been caught off guard once, he wouldn't allow it again.

nessiaing:
Itzel took Xiuh's warning lightly, it may not be wise to get Jengo going but at the same time it was better then having to talk about herself. "Hrm the perfect place, what must it have to be the perfect place?" she asked. She was aware that this might get herslef more then an earful, but she was counting on Jengo talking for long enough so that she could study Xiuh.

She was intriuged by the large silent lion, it was clear that he had a story burried in him, and she wanted to know what it was, others stories were always so interesting, speacially since she was unable to tell her own. She was still trying to peice bits of it back together.

demo:
"The sacred place must be near water, but not too close because if it is then that means that it could flood. It can't be in the jungle, too many enemies there, but not too far into the plains or there won't be anything to eat." Jengo said, making a long list as he went.

"Warned you." The big lion said, not making eye contact, but rather continuing to watch the area around them. He was more interested in potential threat than he was in a lioness who meant them no harm.

"Oh quiet. I told you that I'd make you a den for you and your... whoever you decide to settle in with again." Jengo said, waving him off, "Forgive Xiuh. He's one hell of a fighter, but the man has no taste, you know. No idea what kind of work it takes to build a proper home."

nessiaing:
Itzel's ears perked up, Jengo had said settle down again, that gave her a hint as to what had occured in the lion's past. He had had a mate, but he no longer did, that meant there was a story three somewhere.... it was just a matter of getting the lion to talk. But how to get him to talk?

"Ah so you are just two bachalors looking for your ideal location and mates eh?" she said with a smile on her face. She was hoping even ifXiuh wouldnt start talking than Jengo would. "All is forgiven" Itzel told the two.

demo:
Jengo grinned, "I most certainly am. Not until I've found my sacred place though! Xiuh here, he's probably going to stick to himself." The hare explained, prompting the larger lion to boot him with his position. "Ow. Oh come on Xiuh, it's not like she cares."

"Personal is personal." Xiuh answered bluntly, staying where he was, just barely glancing down at the hare, then losing interest, "Once you've got your sacred place, I'm moving on."

Jengo sighed, "He can be a tad... rough around the edges. Don't worry about him then. What about you? Heading in some general place to look for something? House? Mate? The ultamite hunt? ...Not killing little hares like me?" Jengo asked, his ear twitching a little on the last one. After all, these were lions. They made him nervouis when they weren't Xiuh, and even Xiuh just because he was in Jengo's debt.

nessiaing:
Hetals eye twitched, the converstaion had moved back towards her, this was generally when she felt it was time to make her leave, and to help her in her escape her stomach gurgled, "Heh well I dont know what I am looking for just yet but I suppose when I find the right thing I will know it." she said all of this with a smile, and then her stomach growled louder, she blushed lightly. "Well unfortunatly gentlemen I think that is my cue to go find some none hare food. I do hope to meet you both again someday." she wasn't sure how true either of those statements were, the duo were strange and it had been an odd encounter. The small white lion turned and headed away from the lion and hare, wondering if she would ever see them again.

demo:

"Okay... Bye miss!" Jengo said, waving, while Xiuh remained stoic and calm. "I really hope she doesn't eat anyone I know..." Not that he really knew anyone around these parts. His family was way back in the middle of who-knew-where, so they would be safe. And it wasn't like Xiuh had anyone she would eat.. even if he had anyone left. "Be safe miss!"

"Moving on?" Xiuh asked, not caring where they went now. Eztil was out there somewhere, the craft b*****d, and all that meant was that they had to find him. Or rather, that he did, once he got Jengo to saftey.

"Moving on I guess." Jengo nodded with a smile, eyes on his companion, "Do you think we'll find the Sacred Place soon?"

"Really up to you Jengo."

"Heh. Yeah."
