I got NCAA Basketball 2010 for Christmas, and started a 20-year dynasty with under a guy named Matt Mathis. Instead of choosing my favorite team, the Longhorns, like I wanted to, I decided to take the challenge of taking an unranked team and trying to transform it into a NCAA Championship team. I took the head coaching position at Hawaii to coach the Rainbow Warriors.
I won my first two games, the first one over East Carolina, 77-55. I only led by five points at halftime (37-32) but outscored EC, 40-23 over the course of the last twenty minutes. My starting center (I hate how college games don't let you display your players' real names) had 20 points and 10 rebounds, to lead the team. Then I battled Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and got off to a better start in this game. I led, 45-23 at halftime en route to defeating TA&MCC, 76-59. (I once held a lead as big as 26 points, but turnover problems got this lead cut in half to 13) I was outscored, 36-31, in the second half, in the victory. I'm 2-0 now.

I advance to the Final Four as my #17 Hawaii team defeated the #7 Tennessee Volunteers, 72-54 in the Elite Eight matchup. At a record of 35-1 overall, I will play the #6 Kansas Jayhawks in the Final Four. Winner of that game plays Texas in the National Championship Game.
Road to the Final Four def. Vanderbuilt, 85-80 def. #14 Georgia Tech, 78-63 def. #3 Michigan State, 73-68 def. #7 Tennessee, 72-54

A conference game at home to Nevada, 78-69. sad But then I defeated them in the final game of the season, on their homecourt, as I rested all of my starters.
By the way, I defeated #6-ranked Kansas, 91-79 in the Final Four game. I play #4 Texas in the National Championship Game. Woohoo.

Well, I will face a challenge next season. I'm not good at all in the recruiting department and didn't get any new players. I'm losing 6 of 15 seniors this summer, so I'll be stuck with 9 - only one center, and one power forward. 2 PG's, 3 SG's, and 2 SF's.

I won the championship game that year. In 2011, I lost in the championship game to Kentucky in overtime. This year, I'm off to a 14-1 start, (3-0 in Pac-10 play, as I was invited to move from the WAC to the PAC-10 after the '09-'10 season) and most recently defeated Oregon at the McArthur Court (although the Ducks don't play there anymore) 96-80.

I kinda got bored with Hawaii. When you don't actually live there, there's no point. I quit the Hawaii job after a Final Four loss to Villanova and a 5-2 start in Year 4. I accepted a job at the winless Long Island University, but shut the XBOX off before I even finished a game. For the first time, I got fouled on a three-pointer in that game, though.
I quit Mathis. I started a new dynasty. I scrolled through universities, searching for the perfect underdogs and found the Towson Tigers. If you have NCAA Basketball 10, you'll see the Tigers only have 8 players on their team. (in the Colonial Athletic Association) I chose them and with eight players, I went a perfect 29-0 in the regular season. (cupcake schedule, of course, because no good schools would play me before the season)
Then I made a mistake. After the regular season, I subbed about a week or at least until the conference tournament games would show up. Well, they showed up. But they did it after I could do anything about it. I won Round 1, but got blown out by George Mason in the second game, 84-61. My coach's first loss, and he didn't even lose it himself.
I headed into NCAA Tourney with the #5 seed in the West, with a 30-1 record. I beat New Mexico, and then Tennessee, I think... which, after looking it up on ESPN.com, found out those would have been Towson's first tournament wins had they been real. (2-2) Then I lost to the #1 team in the nation, Villanova, 72-69. They went on to win the national championship game.
After all these wins the highest I've been ranked is #12. In Season 2, I arranged to where more than half of my nonconference opponents were ranked, including a rematch with Villanova at home. I lost my second game at home to #7 California, 80-65 after beating #14 UConn in Connecticut by double digits.
I then lost again at Duke, 96-85 to drop to 5-2. That was after I was down late by fifteen, but tied the game on a 15-0 run.
After that, I went on a fifteen-game win streak into conference play. I beat top threats Old Dominion and George Mason in back-to-back games at home, but then was upset by rival VCU in Richmond in overtime.
So that's where I stand. 20-3, 8-1. Three wins behind George Mason who is 22-3, 11-1.
My new coach is 52-5 for his career.
