I'm thinking of getting a new amp, but I can't decide. I play metal, heavy metal, hard rock, and metalcore like Bullet for My Valentine, Atreyu, Dethklok, Five Finger Death Punch, KillSwitch Engage, Steel Panthers, Escape the Fate, and a tons other bands. I'm think about getting a 15w or 30w amp. I just need a practice amp with alot of effects and very good quality. I know with just $100-150 isn't much, but its just a practice amp.
Here are some amps:
Line 6 Spider 3
Line 6 Spider 4
Roland cube

You can suggest other amps,too.

Again, What is a good metal amp for about $100-$150?

I personally would go with the Line 6 Spyder IV...
I love those ones and they're some pretty damn good ones.

I haven't really played the Spyder IVs yet, but I have a Spyder III, and it's quite excellent. Plus, I got it on sale!

How much are Spider 3 and 4 cost?
cuz its on sale right now, and I can't seen to find the original price.

If the amp was stolen would you get it again?

I'm so freaking mad right now. I can't go to guitarcenter cuz its snowing.....

I'd definitely go for a Roland Cube, but if you can, check out the Peavey Vyper series, I'm pretty sure they have a model in that price range, and they are pretty decent amps.

The best well rounded amp for the money is Definitely the Line 6, I used a Spider II for a good little while it always got the nice crunch and distortion I needed. I hear the new ones are really nice too.

well if you have the pedals already i would recomend a Peavey Basic 60

its an older bass amp that takes a sick distortion and keeps its bassy throb. (as long as you have the bright button in the on position)

i believe they came in a combo set with a bass, but u might be ably to find one on ebay or craigs list for arount the price ur lookin at, note it dosn't have its own gain knob so u would need a distortion pedal
